Politics › Re: Female Combatants: Documents Expose Military’s Cover-up by CharleyBright(m): 7:20pm On Nov 19, 2017
Now the physical evidence surfaces, let the Military come up with yet another spurious denials.
The Northern Cabals continue to think the Nigerian Military is theirs and try to manipulate it to their advantage and subject it to redundancies.
They have refused to up the minimum entry requirement into the Military to be Degree to allow Professionalism and efficiency, all because they feel it won't serve the Northern agenda.
And now they try to stop female admissions into combatant course cos it also doesn't favor their Northern interest.
Anything that doesn't favor the North, they oppose it and try to kill it.
It is their way.

Let Mugabe also learn to be an ordinary citizen just like others he trampled on.
Let Lessons learnt from Mugabe's downfall serve as a real life lesson to his other sit- tight African Presidents.
The sun will soon go down on all of them!!

We always knew you had ambition for the Presidency.
While I don't like your Selfish and cunning dispositions, but honestly I admire your tenacity and doggedness -especially the way you skimmed out the APC power bloc and cunningly ascended the Senate Leadership.
Not forgetting how u skimmed out your blood and kin out of the kwara governorship race.

And should you want to contest against the incumbent...., ?? OK, do your usual thing and Skim the old man out of Aso villa.

Politics › Re: Will The Donald Dukes Of Nigeria Ever Get A Chance? by CharleyBright(m): 7:42am On Nov 19, 2017
Nigerians so beclouded by ethnic and religious sentiments.
The Average Northern youth is a real ethnic and religious bigot.
They can never and will never vote for a Christian against a Muslim in an election.
. They will 98% very likely vote for a candidate from Chad or Niger Republic (so long he is Muslim and speaks Hausa) in an election against a Christian Southerner.
An average Southerner is more open minded and will vote based on logic.. They vote on the credibility of the candidate unlike the Northerner who is likely to vote for a Northern Muslim even if he is not credible.
Buhari won Jonathan not because he was more Credible, but because many southerners decided to not to vote for Jonathan because he was no longer credible.
The North should go beyond their bigotry in elections.

One of them I know as Credible, the other is just over hyped Politician who has really nothing to show to deserve Nigerians vote.
But however, the duo ticket will give APC a run for their money.

We need to scrunitize and criticize every detail of that shabby budget proposal.
Aso Rock Clinic budget estimates that surpasses the budget for entire National hospitals, and yet they don't have paracetamols.
Over blooted budget estimates that they come up with and turn around to steal from.
Fanstastically corrupt Nigerian governments. Jonathan govt and Buhari govt are like 5 and 6. Nothing has changed. They are still looting and milking the Nation dry.

Senseless.
This will only backfire at the detriment of IBO interest.
Not allowing the people to go out and vote and ensure APC doesn't capture the IBO state can definitely pave way for APC to have a smooth ride to win.

Good.
I am not a fan of Ayo Fayose but I support him on this move.
Farmers can't be corllecting loans from banks to engage in farming business and some lunatics will stroll in from hell with cows and destroy farm produce and plunge innocent farmers into debts all in the name of some outlandish practice of grazing.
And you dare call them to order, they will turn violent and start killing.
All other states to follow suit and clamp down on grazing.
Enough of some Nonsensical cultures.

it would be very difficult to trace it the way u explained it being that you don't now their accounts, pos serial code, bank attached to such pos, name etc. Its quite untraceable since thousands of pple at that moment uses pos(clubs, bars, stores etc) and besides its Nigerian police in Nigeria we have not yet advanced to that traceable level
Are you in the banking sector? I am. And I am telling you what I know.
The accounting system and accounts has a Credit and Debit sides. You Debit an Account to Credit another.
There is always an audit trail. All transactions are traceable. It is much easier when an account is tied to a POS.

The people who cling so tenaciously to English in Nigeria are often those from impoverished socially disadvantaged karosin using backgrounds with little capacity for deep reflection
Where have I said English is "not effective"

My Language is not "native" ,whatever that means and your statement that I should post in it is foolish.
THIS is an English language website

What do I know is your language before I stat posting to you in mine.

Rather than spout ignorantly why not do some research.
Your own understanding of English is atrocious anyway
Did I say English is not "worth it" ? What do you mean by "worth it"?

I am saying we should formulate a strategy to educate ourseles in our own languages

This has already been adopted with Swahili in Tanzania ,Welsh in the United Kingdom and Maori in New Zealand.
The countries you mentioned, do they have same social and ethnic diversities as Nigeria?
You can't be comparing two extremes or expect that what thrive in one extreme can thrive in the other.
Nigeria is already too polarized along ethnic lines. The English language has always been a common unifying ground. Let's leave it at that. Pls shelve the clamour for ethnic languages for the mainstream. It will only divide us the more.
Besides, since you ascribe for native language can you do justice and experiment here and let's see how far it goes.

Is English really that dominant in Nigeria? I think you live in a make believe world.
The sooner you and folk like you wake up the better.

How many Nigerians do you think know the meaning of words like

INFECTION
INTERACTION
RECREATION
LEISURE
At best pidgin English may be dominant in PARTS of southern Nigeia. In the North Hausa is the dominant language
Very few Nigerians even at graduate level converse in English without reverting to pidgin English which is an entirely differentt language

We need to learn from countries like Tanzania that now teaches their school children in Swahili
I think it would be better you start posting in your native language to prove to me that the English language is not effective or should be dumped for our native languages.
Why then did you go to school? Were you taught in your native language.
OK let everyone of us start posting on Nairaland and let's see if Nairaland won't go down within 2days with Seun banning use of Native language on his platform.
How delusional of you to use English Language to tell me that English Language isn't worth it.

Sad.
But ironically in Nigeria, sometimes the youths get what they rightly deserve.
The same youths that are being shot at will be the same youth that will collect stipends and join "" paid" Pro - government protests to give solidarity to the same govt that shot at them.
The Nigerian youths are selfish and stand for nothing. They have sold their conscience for stipends.

But if finally he doesn't unveil a Statue of himself standing with one of his legs on top of the map of IMO state, ( to depict how he ran IMO state under) then he has missed out on the most important Statue.
Useless Politicians. All of them!!
Politics › Re: Nigeria Retirees And Her Counterpart From Other Country. Compare- Picture by CharleyBright(m):
Sad but True.

The difference can be attributed to many factors:
1. In these Countries, social securities facilities exists that are meant to carter for the aged and needy. No such thing exist in Nigeria.
2. In these countries, there are wide knowledge of the benefit of Retirement plans ( Pensions plans) and the citizens key into these plans to secure their future. And not to forget, the Pension Administration works effectively and citizens get what is due to them promptly. On the contrary, People are not widely aware of Pension plans, and worst still Pension Administration in Nigeria is a big Scam. People rarely get their entitlements on time.
3. In these countries where retirees live well, there is a good Public- Private Partnership in establishing Retirement Centres and Facilities for the aged. Huge investments come from both parties. There is also the awareness that the aged are better off when they live and bond together with their peers. Hence Homes for the Aged and similar facilities are established. On the contrary in Nigeria, there are no such things or awareness. Private funds ( mostly looted) are shipped abroad and possibly used to invest and establish these facilities abroad where the Nigeria looters retire to.
4. Proceeds from Taxation are used to establish Social Security Facilities and services, and in these countries people pay taxes. Infact it is a very serious offence to pay part tax , talk less of not paying at all. There are no such things as tax exemptions for foreign investors. In Nigeria, many people don't pay tax. And the most annoying is the tax exemptions granted to multi- National investments and do end up doing huge businesses here and don't pay a dime as taxes and good tax revenue that could have been use to provide social security services are not collected.
5. Lastly (and ironically), in these countries the aged and retirees are respected and treated as "Senior Citizens". They get special treatments and don't pay bus fares and enjoy free services. They live the good life. Hell No in Nigeria. The aged and retirees are shabbily treated as second class citizens and looked down upon. Worse still, the younger generation in Nigeria have a natural tendency to perceive any aged person as a likely " Witch/ wizard" and treated with disdain.

With my valid points, why won't there be remarkable differences between aged Retirees from Nigeria and those of other countries as the picture portrays??

You call someone who can't express himself in English brilliant? Isn't English the dominant language in Nigeria?

It is a booming business in Abuja. Armed gangs posing as drivers and passengers and robbing unsuspecting passengers.
But what I don't understand if true is the use of POS to rob. That will be a foolish thing to do, as all POS are tied to an account,- an account is tied to a name and BVN. If robbers rob and use POS to debit accounts, the account tied to the POS is credited. All police investigation requires is to trace the account tied to the POS, and the criminals can easily be identified irrespective of the fact that they withdraw the money.

The fundamental misjudgment we've made as a country is to assume everyone is cut out for the formal education. Some of these peeps up north will do well as semi skilled artisans.
And the North needs not compete with the South by forcing their people to be educated; they should concentrate on their strength and focus on agriculture.
I totally agree with you.
Education for an average Northerner is not neccessarily perceived as a means of self development or empowerment. By rather, education is perceived as a tool to effectively compete with the South.
During the colonial era, the Northern elites sponsored some of their kids to English schools not because they believed in Western education,( they never did and still dont) but rather they needed people to be better placed to compete with the South that embraced Western education.
That's why the Northern Nigeria still place premium on Islamic education over western education.
Education › Re: Teacher From Sokoto State And His English On Facebook (Photos) by CharleyBright(m):
Successive Nigerian Military governments headed by Northerners deliberately created structures to promote, protect and enshrine their Northern interests. They deliberately enshrined the Federal Character in our constitution which has permeated and bastardized the educational system in Nigeria. An average northern youth believes strongly in the Federal character as a guarantee to secure a placement in federal schools and employment in Federal establishment irrespective of his educational inadequacy as compared to his southern counterpart.
A system so flawed by admitting a dullard who scored less than 15% in an exams ( and who can't even spell or write his name correctly) into a Federal school should expect to churn out Students and Teachers who knows next to Nothing.
Little wonder El Rufai is bent on sacking over 22,000 teachers who couldn't even pass a pry 4 exams.
The backward North has always been a draw back to the contraption called Nigeria.
Same reason they told the Colonial Masters they weren't ready for Independence in 1957 and inevitably condemned us all to additional 3yrs of colonial rule.

He only had to sack Lawal following widespread clamour for his removal.

Politics › Re: GOSPEL FOR SALE?? Men Of God, Why Monetize And Sale Gospel Materials Online?? by CharleyBright(op): 2:28pm On Nov 12, 2017
GeeOh:
Gideon international has a lot of sponsors you can't compare them, pls read 1cor 9v13-14,may God give us better understanding of his words
Why don't you and many others like you for once tell yourselves the truth the way you see it??
Are you saying the church is Right to sell its Daily Devotional Online? Is the Gospel for sale?
You say Gideon International is sponsored. Aren't the big churches in Nigeria sponsored? What is the Tithe and Offerings meant for? Aren't they meant to take care of costs of spreading the Gospel?
It is people like you ( who are quick to justify the ills of church leaders) that is the real problem even more than the leaders.
The Church and some Men of God are milking the congregation because the congregation have deliberately remained gullible and refused to say the truth when it clear.

The church will request you and I ( the congregation) to sow into a church project of establishing a high brow expensive school / university that we cannot afford for our kids. Then the church will turn around to tell us the school/ university is meant to draw the rich and highly placed in the society to Christ.
Who is fooling who?
And the church rake in millions of naira (tax free) from these schools/ university and they bluntly fail to utilise such proceeds to build low budget schools for the benefit of the congregation that sowed for the establishment of the initial school.

Let the congregation see and say the truth, it will set us free and help our church Leaders to do the right thing!!
Politics › GOSPEL FOR SALE?? Men Of God, Why Monetize And Sale Gospel Materials Online?? by CharleyBright(op): 11:45am On Nov 12, 2017
I am very disheartened this morning (and am sure God is also angry) with the hypocrisy is Men of God by the way their have continued to monetized the Gospel of Christ.
I really got infuriated this morning when I tried to download a Daily Devotional of one of the Largest Christian Church in Nigeria, Lo and behold, after downloading the Devotional, it wasnt accessible unless downloders pay N500 before accessing the devotional.
Which means if you don't pay N500, you can't access the Devotional. It invariably means, THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST ( By means of the Devotional) IS FOR SALE!!!
Men of God and Church Leaders, how can that be WHY SALE DAILY DEVOTIONALS ONLINE IF YOU CLAIM TO BE SPREADING THE GOSPEL THAT CHRIST GAVE FREE?

" Go and Spread the Gospel to all the earth ". That was one of Christ's admonition to the church before his demise.
With these age of internet and technology, spreading the gospel and reaching out to millions of people in any part of the world is even made much more easier. With online Apps, videos, live streaming lives can be touched in any part of the world so long as people have access to internet. All it requires is to upload the Gospel on the internet and the Gospel is spread.
Today, Many "Men of God" with large congregations claim to want to spread the gospel to all part of the earth, but are doing the contrary be monetizing the Gospel and hindering spread of the gospel.
GOD IS NOT HAPPY WITH THESE ACTS COMING FROM MEN OF GOD.
Ofcourse in defense, there will be claims that the Church is not party to such acts. But the question is, can the church produce Devotional and it is Monetized and sold online without the Church's privy to it??
Christians let us for once tell our Church Leaders the truth. THE CHURCH HAS BEEN MILKING THE CONGREGATION, and this MUST STOP!!!
Men of God, if you claim you are spreading the Gospel, and you produce Daily Devotionals and it is being sold, then know that YOU ARE SELLING THE GOSPEL ( there is no other excuse you can give to justify your act.
And just to remind you: The Gospel of Christ is not for sale!!!
After all, a Christian Denomination ( Gideon International) has been incurring huge costs by producing and sharing Bible FREE all over the world. So No excuse for selling Gospel Devotional materiall online via Apps that doesn't incur costs.

GOD IS NOT HAPPY WITH THESE ACTS FROM HIS CHURCH.
