Putin ostracizing involves pain, he arrests and jails them, threaten them with violence. Jehovah's witnesses do not threaten or harm ostracized members. So your logic doesn't stand.
More so, the fact that Jehovah's witnesses are not resulting to violence despite the hatred and violence against them but seeking redress in the same Russian Judiciary should tell you a lot.
They are being imprisoned and yet they are seeking redress from the same government that imprisons them, can you imagine the level of their faith!

But rest assured, Jehovah's witnesses in Russia won't be facing such in Russia for the first time and I know that most of them have been prepared for what is currently happening over there.

I can go on and on about how they are extremist. But, let me just list few points that made me see them as extremist and unfriendly. I don't blame Putin for shutting them out.
1. Very disrespectful of other people's belief. I have read their watchtowers, I know what I am saying.
2. Ex believers are segregated from their family members, what a wicked thing to do.
3. A pregnant woman died while while giving birth just because the religion forbids giving of blood. I always maintain, humanity before religion. No difference between those Islamic extremist that stoned Deborah and Jehova witness.

These are civil and personal matters, remember even the UN advocates for choice of association that is, you are free to decide who to associate with and the reason for them choosing to not associate with non witness is because of spirituality because they don't want to be tainted with other religious doctrine. This doesn't make them unfriendly because they are being taught to be kind to everyone - not just their members. Although I agree that due to human imperfections, some might err.

Just like you mentioned in your first point, they don't respect other people's belief, but it seems you are also on this table. You see, Jehovah's witnesses have their beliefs regarding some spiritual matters so they might be baffled why others choose to believe differently WHICH IS WHAT YOU ARE DOING AS WELL, you don't understand why Jehovah's witnesses make some decisions AND IT SEEMS YOU ARE NOT EVEN RESPECTING THEIR CHOICE because it your comments shows you detest them.

Secondly, if Jehovah's witnesses ostracise disfellowshipped ones not out of hatred but out of love. The general thought being that, they might come to their senses if they see how much they are missing.
It has been repeatedly preached that ALL MEMBERS SHOULD EMBRACE DIS-FELLOSHIPPED MEMBERS WITH OPEN ARMS IF THEY CHOOSE TO RETURN TO THE FOLD. But on the other hand, if they choose not to then they should be treated as non-witness SO THEY WONT TAINT THE CONGREGATION (AND THE MAJOR REASON FOR DISFELLOWSHIPPING IS USUALLY MURDER FRAUD AND SEXUAL IMMORALITY).

THIRDLY, Jehovah's witnesses have a scriptural reason for refusing blood and it is a matter of faith AND NO ONE WILL EVEN BE DISFELLOWSHIPPED FOR TAKING BLOOD, choosing not to take blood is a matter of faith BUT IT DOESN'T MAKE THEM AN EXTREMIST.

EXTREMISTS ARE KNOWN TO HARM PEOPLE, JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES HAVE NEVER ADVOCATED FOR VIOLENCE NOR THREATEN TO HARM OTHERS EVEN IF THEY ARE PUSHED TO THE WALL.

Forget religious/scriptural doctrines, if all humans maintains the view of Jehovah's witnesses on how precious life is and choose to eschew violence, don't you think the world will be a better place?
