Education › Re: FG Insists Federal Universities Not Allowed To Charge Fees by chaseblack(m): 12:22pm On Aug 16, 2023 |
FreeStuffsNG: FG is right to a significant extent.
Apart from the University of Lagos (UNILAG), no other federal university has increased its fees or permitted to increase its fees.
That's the status quo for now. It shows how smart and proactive the UNILAG management is; they quickly designed a template to help them recover the increased over head costs, went through the due process , defended it, got FG approval, took the approved adjusted fees to the university unions and got the unions on board. UNILAG gained the first mover advantage as the door is shut against other universities that came late after the HOR resolution. That's the signature brand UNILAG university culture benefit of having experienced university administrators. Great university with smart leaders. If you no attend UNILAG, the university of First Choice and the nation's pride ehn, you don miss something very valuable.Check my signature for free stuffs! What do you mean by no other institution? Don't wait for mainstream media to feed you with information before you know what's happening around you. Ask around if there was an increase in Unilorin Uniben etc before you start believing the government. |

People need to start facing full consequences of their actions in this country. Reports were that people had complained about the elevator before sometimes last year. Everyone in the building knew it had issues so it's definitely negligence. |

Politics › Re: Subsidy On Professional Bodies Removed by chaseblack(m): 8:44am On Jun 28, 2023 |
FreeStuffsNG: Nigerians are now seeing why and how everyone is just being hypocritical. We were each bleeding this welfarist state yet pointing accusing fingers at politicians alone. What is your level of education? Read, digest and comprehend before commenting. Do you want to say that you don't know that the subsidy enjoyed by the professional body ASUU is in terms of school fees which is being enjoyed by the citizens, the subsidy enjoyed by the medical profession is in terms of free and affordable healthcare so citizens won't have to pay exorbitant health care fee, this means that the hospitals can't generate enough from fees charged so the government helps by paying staff's salary etc. Do you want to claim that those subsidies i.e education, healthcare etc are enjoyed by the citizens just as is being done in every decent country in the world? Do you want to claim that you don't know that all the current set of politicians benefited from the said subsidy, even the current president probably enjoyed one form of subsidy alduring their age? How was Nigeria able to subsidized education during the days of Awolowo when we relied on only agriculture but fail to do so with the abundant crude oil l/gold resources? I still don't get why you are celebrating the removal of subsidies - which is the most easily accessible dividends of democracy enjoyed by the common man- over the reduction of the spendings of political office holders that have continually show themselves to be greedy and corrupt. Are you this gullible? Are you paid to defend this news or are you a politician? |

However I know there maybe bad ones bt I believe how u approach an officers matters.
Once I was held for a tint permit back then and I went to their office and settled it.
Why would the police harass people for no reason? I think they are profiled by certain codes or they are in a crime zone. I am currently at a state police HQ and I'm telling you because it hasn't affected you doesn't mean it doesn't happen. There are over 150million people in Nigeria and it's logical that not everyone will suffer this injustices. My eyes have seen a lot that you won't even understand, just in front of me is a guy who has just been released to his wife and mother with his neighbors, they were arrested yesterday and released today without payment, now the questions you need to ask is why were the arrested? Don't you think it's odd that you'll just be arresting people randomly? Some guys (butty type if you know what I mean), came to lodge, apparently they were going for a wedding and they deciding to sleep since it is late, my staff told them to go and withdraw cash from a nearby POS and two of them left while the other two stayed. Would you believe that those boys did not return till the next day and they slept in the cell? They Aunt that they would be visiting had to come to town to bail them free, the question, why were the arrested? What were they charged with? That's an injustice because you can't even begin to imagine what an innocent person will suffer in prison just because police are raiding. Observe people's grievance before always saying 'police has never harassed me before'. You are one of the lucky ones! |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: The Lack Of Adequate Employment In Nigeria by chaseblack(m): 8:40pm On Jun 09, 2023 |
SultanOfAbia: Nigerians are lazy.. With too much pride
There are many job sectors like . Cleaning the roads and collecting refuse Not body wants to do that Everybody wants collar job with office blowing A C
Agriculture sector is heavily lacking in youths. All youths want fast money and agriculture takes patience dedication and discipline which this generation lack
My point is that in reality There is no job scarcity . What we have in Nigeria is job saturation Youths have saturated certain sectors while neglecting other sectors. Tell a youth to go into carpentry in this Time too generation, they will call you evil uncle that don't want them to progress
There are job sectors that are avoided by the youths.. Due to prestige or ego. But when they travel abroad they don't mind washing dishes in restaurant and doing garbage man. Wicked human, how much do they pay cleaners? A paltry 25k highest 35k and you want people to work there so they can spend the money on antibiotics, abi? Start a cleaning company that pay up to #100k per month and see if your family members won't apply ASAP! Wicked man! |
