I've a story but the narration of events might be blurry because shit happened way back in 03 and I was still a baby. Yes, a baby

Loaded with my family and couple of other passengers, the white Toyota Hiace sped past the diminutive town of Ninth Mile, racing and overtaking other cars on the wet tar road as all the Onitsha bound passengers blissfully sang and clapped to the glory of God.

The going was good until we got to this hilly, busy and isolated section of the Highway...

I could still see the whole event replay right now in mind.

I can see myself seated right in the front row shouting on top of my lungs with my younger brother, as the short, black complexioned and fat driver stepped on the gas in a bid to outran them.

I was prettified, shocked and already crying like a day clown as I called the only one thing that mattered, my mom, to come and rescue me.

She was at the back seat with my little sisters and other passengers most of them traders who clutched purses, and bags made fat and bloated with naira notes.

I thought you should have guessed.

Apparently, from the side mirror you could see a red bus swiftly pursuing with its headlights blazing on and a guy was sticking out from the top and shooting not at us but in the air. He was trying to force our driver to a halt as the gained on us.

The modafucker, our driver who has 20 years driving experience under his belt was stubborn, furiously turning the wheels and with his legs stamped on the gas.

It was just like a scene out of a movie.

The atmosphere in our bus wasn't nice. Passengers were in a frenzy, utterly scared and the few brave ones torn the leather parts of this car which had more than 18 souls to hid there money...

A shout of " Blood of Jesus" from different mouths that ate Akpu and Onugbu soup some minutes in the Obollor Afor park, signified what stared us all in the far.

The bus has suddenly screeched to a halt jerking most of the passengers forward.

The way it happened I can only tell it vaguely...

The reason why the driver stopped was because these guys from the under world finally gained and overtook him.

But the captain of the ship left us to our fate.

There were gun shot every where while the operation lasted. We were robbed.

You might be in awe what's so special about this bus. Well, my family just buried our grandfather and the huge sum of money realized from the burial was in a Ghana must go bag with my sweet mom. When I say huge I don't mean millions of naira. But it was a generous sum and that's why we got chased.

How they knew? I leave you to your imagination.

Back in the bus. When the driver fled and left us, the king of the robbers moved briskly and collected our burial earned money. I guess they collected from those traders with fat and bloated purses and bags, because I could still picture how some of them threw themselves on the muddy ground and refused to be consoled as they sorrowfully cried.

Well, the ever vibrant and indefatigable Nigerian police came soon after the robbers were done... They told us that they were on top of the situation but I knew how it ended.

They followed a different route instead of riding the very way the robbers took after they were done robbing me, my mom and the passengers.

Let him be killed immediately.
