Greathand01: Hi, you can try other positions within the NHS. I suppose the advertised position for HCA already mentioned number of hours prior to applying. You may consider applying to band 4 positions to secure sponsorship instead 1 Like |

dustydee: Next time, call HMRC directly. I recently realised I was overtaxed for 8 months at my new job. I called HMRC and provided them the right tax code, and was refunded almost 2k. You should know your tax code and all these information are on the HMRC page, down to calculating your tax payment for the year. I have friends that overpaid tax and got refunded (without contacting HMRC) after the tax year. |

bigtt76: He will need to switch and the UKVI page said dependent can apply same time as me or at a different time before their current visa expires. Since he is out of the UK before I switched, I want to confirm if he can use his BRP which has student dependent to enter the UK. Yes, you can PM me |

Hello house, I have switched from Student Visa to work visa and notified my uni about the change. They have also notified UKVI they are no longer my sponsor. I wanted to ask, can my dependent still use his student dependent brp to enter UK? Is his BRP still valid even after uni withdraws sponsorship? He's planning to come next month to switch his visa status and live in the UK permanently. Thank you. |

pretty1986: Yea sure if it's a Dom account regulated by CBN cos according to UKVI page, you can only use account that is regulated in the country you're applying from. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/financial-evidence-for-sponsored-or-endorsed-work-routes#how-your-finance-requirement-is-worked-out 1 Share

hustla: No o. You can only apply for reimbursement every six months as you will be required to upload 6 months payslip to evidence your claim. I should add: you get refund for dependents too. |
Travel / Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by CheesyTee(f): 4:03pm On Sep 16, 2022 |
hustla: You can only apply for 6 months reimbursement at a time. Since the IHS fee is dependent on the length of your visa, you can't get more than the initial amount paid. Also, once you switch to another visa, you will not be able to claim old IHS fee. Unless of course if you paid IHS on new visa and have worked 6 months in healthcare with the visa 2 Likes |

ugoonuoha: When you reapply, you will be asked if you have a pending application awaiting a decision and prompted to provide UAN/GWF number, if you select yes. The old application will be nullified, I am not sure what happens to the previous IHS after biometric as I didn't pay (applied for Health and care visa). But the visa fee for old application will be forfeited. |

Can I still drive for 1 year with Nigerian driving license since I switched visa, although i have never used it to drive before now? I have provisional license and passed theory test. I am taken classes and I have 8hrs training already. I am considering driving with the Nigerian license for a while before I take practical test |
