Did you apply for PSW? You can submit your visa application as an evidence to your employer... The delay is not from you. Pogracious: Elders, please am in a dilemma and need your advise. I work for a company where I got a permanent role as a student.I finished my study and I continued with the work but am expecting my visa from UKVI.Old BRP expires Jan 31 and for whatever reason my employer has not made my payslip available to me Though the contract has clause of termination at brp. shouldn't I be paid for my toil this January especially with all the hassles and high transport of Yuletide season.Pls advise me what to do because the only thing that is coming to my mind is 28days notice if I am leaving and I have not written that I am leaving they are the ones that say I must get new brp to continue work.Help sirs/mas |

Here are the list of people that UK mentioned can earn below minimum wage but the proposed amount is way too low as most pointed out. https://www.gov.uk/national-minimum-wage/who-gets-the-minimum-wagegeekseventplace: I dont know where you driving at. I know people who have operated this for the past 10yrs. They usually get an employment solicitor to draft the agreement required. Its more or less like an Au-pair program which allows people legally earn below minimum wage. I would have posted the link but i dont want nairaland axe but below is a snapshot of what the average earning of aupairs look like - feel free to verify if you want. There are people who are actually looking for opportunities like this, may seem exploitative on the outside but this is certainly not the intent. Plus i really cannot afford a full time nanny hence i am going for this. THe only reason i am not going via an aupair agencies is because the earliest they say they could get someone was in May but i want someone quicker.

Keysafetv access? That is odd but i found this, might help explain better https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/experts/article-9354735/amp/Do-share-bank-statements-KeySafe-new-flat.html . eyesaswide: Hello everyone, I have come for advice….again
I’m trying to rent a new apartment and part of the requirement is that I fill some forms providing my employer reference, previous landlord references, a guarantor etc etc including allowing the company keysafetv access to my account. Now I don’t have a problem with providing all the details,,,,, but allowing a company have access to my account and that of my guarantor(even though they said it’s “view only” gat all my alarm ringing.
Has anyone gone through this cos I’m already thinking maybe they don’t just want me to have the house. Ps.. I offered to generate the account statements but they refused |

I used to be a pro at knitting, thanks to my granny. But now, I think I've grown out of it or maybe I just lost interest. I've recently taken up slack-lining and I really enjoy it, except when the wind blows like crazy. And don't even get me started on cycling in these gusty conditions. One gust of wind and I'm roadkill. Maybe I'll take up fishing but not in this weather |

dustydee: Let me save this by quoting it. Dashed HMRC money when I was contracting until I realised after almost 3 years that I could have saved a lot more. To make matters worse, I paid the accounting firm thousands yearly for the priviledge. Next time, call HMRC directly. I recently realised I was overtaxed for 8 months at my new job. I called HMRC and provided them the right tax code, and was refunded almost 2k. You should know your tax code and all these information are on the HMRC page, down to calculating your tax payment for the year. I have friends that overpaid tax and got refunded (without contacting HMRC) after the tax year. |

eniola1010: This is gonna be long. For over 2 days i slept on youtube looking for that one video that will explain to someone how uk NI(national insurance) and income tax is being taxed.
I noticed a lot of people on the thread dont really understand the arithmetic aspect of how the tax works. Even if there are calculators online to do the whole thing for you, i'm sure guys like me are on the thread who loves hand on deck calculations just to see exactly how the system works.
This is also good if you want to compare different countries tax and see which country u wanna settle in.
First, the tax bands are as follows, dont let this confuse you. It is my examples that will give you clearer understanding.
£0 - £12570 is 12570 and 0% (personal allowance) £12571 - £50270 is 37699 and 20% (basic band) £50271 - £150000 is 99729 and 40% (higer band) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We want to know what your net pay is after tax have been taken from your gross pay. Your gross pay is your salary before tax. Your net pay is your salary after tax. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EXAMPLE1 Your salary is £60000 First and foremost, you are entitled to personal allowance of £12570 and this will not be taxed.
60000 -12570 ------------- 47430
This 47430 falls between band2 (37699) and band3 (99729)
What then happens is this.
37699 from your 47430 will be taxed at 20%. Which is 37699x0.2 is 7539.
When 37699 is taking from the 47430, you know it will remain 9731, now that 9731 will be taxed at 40%. That will be 9731x0.4 which is 3892.
Conclusively, it means if your salary is 60000, you will be taxed 11,431 being (3892+7539).
EXAMPLE2 Let us assume your salary is 52000.
First and foremost remove the 12570 that is not taxable.
52000 - 12570 -------------- 39430
39430 falls in the range of (37699) and (99729), which are 20% and 40% respectively.
So, 37699 from your 39430 will be taxed at 20%. Which is 37699x0.2 is 7539.
Now, remember that when 37699 is taken from your 39430, it will remain 1731. This 1731 will now be taxed at 40%. So, 1731x0.4 is 692.
Conclusively, on your salary of 52000, you are taxed 8231 being (692+7539).
Example 3 Let us assume your salary is 25000 First and foremost, remove your 12570.
25000 - 12570 ------------- 12430
Since 12430 falls on the personal allowance band. They'll just use the basic band. Which is 20%. 12430x0.2 is 2486.
Conclusively, your tax from 25000 is 2486.
Note i did some round up. This is not perfect. But near perfect. Let me know if u find this useful. Then i'll do the one with NI included. |

Hello house,
I have switched from Student Visa to work visa and notified my uni about the change. They have also notified UKVI they are no longer my sponsor.
I wanted to ask, can my dependent still use his student dependent brp to enter UK? Is his BRP still valid even after uni withdraws sponsorship? He's planning to come next month to switch his visa status and live in the UK permanently.
Thank you. |

If it is what you said it is, can I ask you for the NHS concession for those waiting for visa but still working? The concession detailed in the "if you applied for a Health and Care Worker Visa and are waiting decision on your application" section will end on 4th of October 2022. Applicants with Certificate of Sponsorship assihned after this date cannot begin work until they receive visa. |

This means that all concessions in the section you posted will expire on 4th October. Yes, that part is for people waiting for visa but still working while they wait for decision not for students working in NHS list profession |

Thanks for the clarification! No o. You can only apply for reimbursement every six months as you will be required to upload 6 months payslip to evidence your claim. I should add: you get refund for dependents too. |

hustla: Is it possible to get more than that? I'd like $1K+ if possible You can only apply for 6 months reimbursement at a time. Since the IHS fee is dependent on the length of your visa, you can't get more than the initial amount paid. Also, once you switch to another visa, you will not be able to claim old IHS fee. Unless of course if you paid IHS on new visa and have worked 6 months in healthcare with the visa |

I have also just got a COS for the H&C visa from my employer.. plan to apply soon. But I would like to know if I can use the immigration checker app instead of booking a date and also is priority service available for this visa route as I am in the UK currently.
Thanks Yes. You can use ID app for biometrics and do priority service. |

I would like to know if I can use the ID Checker app also for this visa route and how much did the super priority cost?
Thank you I did priority and used ID app checker. I got decision after two days |

If you have not done biometric, both payments will be refunded. Using my case as an example, I used the ID app check and made payments on the 1st of September and and got decision on the 3rd of September. |
