Hi CheesyTee I’m also waiting for a decision on my tier 2 application, mine is 12 weeks already. Do you mind sharing the email used in contacting UKVI? I also sent you a pm

The wait is tiring. But i suppose they've got backlog.

I used UKVINHSteam@homeoffice.gov.uk (dedicated email for nhs staff).

I just realised delay of my visa decision may be due to wrong occupation code use on my CoS.

I have notified my employer about this and hopefully it can be resolved. Even though it is most likely they will need to apply for another CoS and me, another visa.

The delay was not due to wrong occupation code. The MP nd my employer contacted UKVI and they replied they had technical issue and they're resolving it but the wait is tiring.

This is the 17th week..

Please has anyone switched from Student Visa to work visa recently?

My application is now 16 weeks since biometric and UKVI keeps saying they're having technical issues. The MP also got same response.

This is tiring cry

Good morning house,
Please for those that have made visa application from inside the UK, were you able to get free biometric appointment time, if yes please any tips?
Have been trying to book appointment but can only see paid ones, heard free appointments are released every 9:am but nothing was released this morning

Please help
Thank you

If you filled application on the phone, it will prompt you to use the app to capture.

You have to keep checking for free days. I paid biometric fee of £75 per applicants.

Refund of IHS payment

Good morning house i don't know if this is the right place to confirm this information. If not kindly direct me to the right group.
pls i am trying to assist my friend working in health care to get refund of his ihs. i was told that when one work for six months one can apply for refund of ihs. i am trying to apply but is saying that if the application is successful it will be send to the bank or card used to pay the ihs. i am confused because my friend used his dollar account and card from Nigeria to make payment. How can this be transferred to Nigeria account??
why not our account here in the uk. how can one take the money since it will take years to go back home.

please is there anybody in the health sector that has successfully applied? kindly put me through pls. see attached . Thank you

You can withdraw in the UK if you used Dollar card for IHS payment.

Please I need advise oo...I am a student that is about to switch to tier 2 healthcare visa. I came in Sept 2021 do I need to use a bank statement for my tier 2visa application? Also is there anyone that has switched from student to tier 2 without completing their course?

If your employer ticks Yes to providing maintenance fee, you don't need pof. If no you will have to provide bank statement since you have not spent 1yr in the UK.

Standard visa processing period is quite longer you may pay for priority servi e if you can accord it.

shocked shocked Na wa for ds delay ooo. It’s 15 working days ( 3 weeks) for me today since biometrics and I’m thinking visa should be out by now. T4 dependant to T2

It's 8 weeks for those that apply within the UK. So you have 5 more weeks of waiting (hopefully).

Abeg who has successfully converted to a tier 2 health care visa from a tier 4 despite still been in school. I want to know if I can apply ASAP becos passport will expire in NOV

I switched from t4 to t2. Although, I am still waiting for the decision since I didn't pay for priority. It's been 10 weeks since biometric, moving to week 11.

I am only battling with the dissertation as we are in term 3 while working.

PS: my place of work and uni are hundreds of miles apart.

My people, please help chook mouth for this matter.

The current place we live in is not suitable for kids. Although the landlord came to fix some of the things we complained about, he only comes when it's almost time for the next rent.

Why not move out you may ask. Especially when we didn't sign a long contract. It's really tough getting a house to rent on the island as most house owners either do short-let (Airbnb mostly) or put the property up for sale.

We have been applying for houses advertised online and have no luck securing one.

We recently found out the reason through this potential landlord the reference provided by the previous house agent. The agency said we left the property dirty and they had to professionally clean it. Even though we cleaned the property ourselves and sent images as proof but they still charged us £200 for cleaning and repainting.

I am so down and don't know what to do cos this place is quite expensive and not suitable at all.

Update!

The new landlord is ready to rent to us after calling the agency to clarify. The landlord said that's a petty thing the agency did. The complaint was we didn't clean the skirting area of the house well and also the washing machine tray.

She mentioned she asked if the charge they took off our deposit covered the cost of cleaning and they said yes.

She said it won't affect her renting to us and it's normal to experience such.

This is worrisome. So sorry that things are happening this way. While you sort this one out, I'll advise you do not use this agent/landlord as reference in the future. Look for any other references if possible. It's good that this prospective landlord revealed this to you rather than just ghosting you.
Good luck.

Definitely! Thank you for this. I was also happy the landlord mentioned this to us and this must have the reason why we weren't considered for the houses we previously applied for.
