Good day people,

I bought Zenith bank shares last year and I've my share certificate but I've not registered it with CSCS yet. Please how does this affect my chances of getting my bonus (as recently declared) and other benefits? How do I go about registering it? Where and How do I do that? Please fill me in pals. And please keep up the good work!
@obasanjo2
The fact that you have not lodged in your Zenith bank certificate into your cscs account will not affect your dividend and bonus you are entitled to. The only thing is that you can't sell the shares until you lodge it in. If you want to lodge it in, all you have to do is to go to your stock broker(this is assuming you already have one) and give them your certificate, collect your receipt from them and tell them to lodge it into your account. Thats all

@Atam-man,
Japaul should be out between September and October. I am saving big time for it. Personally, I wouldn't touch Access with a 10 meter pole cos it is first of all, a bank and secondly, i think the offer is just based on hype.
Any news on Dangote Flour?

@all,
Who has noticed that Japaul has been on 6.02 for about 3 days? What is happening? Are they on technical suspension already? This is because i heard that they are going to have a public offer in september.
Anybody with gist should please fill us in.

With all the accolades GTBank has received on this thread, I went and opened a saving account for my wealthbuilder scheme because i wanted to stop using my diamond bank account  and i must say, i am feeling them. The customer service and professionalism is superb.

@newbies,
If you are cool with online network marketing, you can go to this link
http://wealthbulder.goattale.com/cheexy. It is a very cool website. You register with 3000 naira and earn 2000 naira on everyone that registers through you except the first person (your 1up)
Imagine referring 4 of your friends, that is an automatic 6000 naira without even stressing yourself and the money ispaid right into your bank account if you use either UBA, GTB of Diamond bank. Then imagine 4 of those your friends getting one friend each, that is 12000 naira. To me, that is more 100% returns on your investment and it is so easy because all you need is 3000 naira. I earned over 20k between monday and friday and if i could do it, anyone including you can.

I think it a very wonderful developement by GOATTALE NETWORKS COMPANY

remember, the link is
http://wealthbuilder.goattale.com/cheexy.
You can reach me on chikamso@yahoo.com.If you don't understand anything but i bet you wont need to because the site is very self explanatory

BusinessRe: If You Are Overpaid By Your Bank by cheexy: 10:49pm On Jul 07, 2007
To be very sincere, it depends on the bank and most especially, my mood. If it is diamond bank, where i come in contact with friendly, fast and nice tellers and superb customer service, then i would definately return the money but if it a bank like first bank and uba where their tellers are so nasty, slow, plain frustrated and the queues are unbelievably long,

back then i 2004 in Ado Ekiti was still in school, my account was dry but my bro was supposed to send money into my account, as i went to the bank to cash some money i decided to check myt bal before wasting time on the queue, there were loads of people from school to cash or check bal only for the stupid girl to read out my bal of 1,250 loudly, it was embarrsing, i know its against the law i felt like walking straight to the manager or atleast make noise but i knew people would rather laugh at me because they will just think am frustrated.
National Bank now WEMA
in Ado Ekiti as well, they were never on line they were alwys nasty bunch of indigines, there was a day a friend of mine went to confirm my account number and they gave her my bal as well, can u imagine and it was their operation manager Olumide can't really remember (2004) insyead of him to accept his mistake he threatened my friend that he will lock her up, had to make calls to another branch before he was called to his right senses. Bloody Nuisance, he was thesame guy that when he makes calls to other branhes to confirm customers bal he waste time by toasting the girl on phone first. i remember he shouted on a customer once asking him how much he had in his account and if it was up to one million so he should not disturb him, very rude guy

Hi All,
I heard that Skye bak is starting an REIT(Real Estate Investment Trust) fund and i want to know if it is a good idea. They say it will be listed on the exchange and investors will get 80% dividend if they don't pull out in a year. Its offer price is 100 naira and the minimum is 100,000.I am kinda interested cos they will invest strictly in real estate and it will give me a chance to diversify a bit. However, i want to be sure that i am not making a mistake. Any useful insider info will be appreciated.

@ CrazyT,

The closer I look at this market, the more difficult it is to pick stocks. If I can't pick holes in any company, Frank, wanaj0 or Wendy can. If I must pick, I like GTBank.
@All,
My strategy is to chill for zenith bank to issue to rumoured bonus afterwhich the price will be adjusted. If they don't issue the expected bonus, people will drop it like it is hot! GTB seems cool but i will wait a bit because once the FBN offer draws to an end and dangote flour comes out, people will offload and prices will come crashing (except the PFAs aka money miss road come in). May and Baker and Japaul seem good for medium term. May and Baker because of the vaccine thing and Japaul because they will float a public offer in september (naija lo wa,  if you get my drift) and they are the only quoted company in the maritime subsector. Please what do you guys think of ABC transport and GREIF?

HI peeps,
Please i need this info urgently. Is dangote sugar shares certificate out. please respond
Yes it is. I got mine a month ago but there is a delay in verifying the certificate as zenith registrars is stalling with the excuse that "they are verifying signatures".It is just a plot to ensure that the price doesn't dip and too many people don't sell too many shares. If you have not seen your certificate, then go to zenith registrars.

@all,
What do you think about ABC transport, GREIF and GTB?

my worst bank experience was with UBA (former STB). I was a student back then and the bank raised its minimum bal. to N2000. i casually made a remark about it to the teller lady, that it wasn't favourable for students and to my shock she said i should endeavor to close the account as the are not interested in customers like me. The sloth was so unapologetic and rude about it! angry

for me now, its GTB or nothing. they av issues once in a while but overall, their service delivery is top class compared to other banks.
What? shocked That is gangsta shocked
I went to First Bank at customs street marina lagos (near stock exchange building) today and asked to check my balance as i don't use that account often and the customer service woman totally ignored me. It was so obvious that it was beef. I just started laughing and glided to a younger customer service officer and that one was so nice. I even chatted briefly with her. When i was about to leave, i smiled, turned back and saw the older fatter lady staring at me in shock shocked. I guess she expected me to be angry and when i did the opposite, it totally through her off balance.

BusinessRe: Bad Experiences You've Had With Your Banks? by cheexy: 3:12am On Jun 19, 2007
I had a very bad experience with UBA Oyingbo and Ojuelegba today. Can you imagine a bank that posts a very impressive report with all the noise could not afford to back up their network. I went to Oyingbo first of all to cash a cheque issued by a customer, the crowd i saw there was terrble. I then decided to go to Ojuelegba branch and stayed there for hours and kept getting the same story that they had network problems. The people still expected me to put my life on hold by switching off my cell phone? I just sharply got a seat, rested my back and calmly put my phone on silent and kept clicking away and conducting my business.
I had earlier made the mistake of switching off my phone at first bank and lost a hot deal. Since then, my eye clear.
Anyways, I still love my diamond bank.
