FOR the past few years President Goodluck Jonathan has publicly shrugged off the deaths of thousands of people, mainly in the north-east of his country, portraying them as the unfortunate but unavoidable result of a fanatical insurgency for which his government cannot be blamed. But in the past few weeks the plight of 200-plus girls abducted from a school by Boko Haram, the extremist group chiefly responsible for the mayhem, has put Mr Jonathan and his government under an international spotlight, exposing them not only as incompetent but callous, too.

Final remark, The whole argument of foreign debt is a non-issue. Thailand has more external reserve than UK, Brazil external reserve is equivalent to that of US and UK joined together. Nigeria is 45th in term of country with highest external reserve.

In terms of external debt, the likes of Ghana, Tanzania are owing more than Nigeria.. we are 89th in the world.

Argument should center on the development of this nation than stockpiling fund in reserve (except the ECA or SWF for infrastructure investment). Get the damn money out of wherever it is and use it for the development of this nation. Until then, Jonathan till Buhari stop contesting election in Nigeria.

When oil price was $120 pb, and above wetin we get from it or from 9ja?
Of what benefit is it to ordinary man who had never for once felt the impact of it in their lives?
Do they fund our schools with oil money, or was it our roads that are tarred with it?
What about health, or do we not deserve social security by reason of being an oil producing nation?

Members of the the tribunal set up to exam veracity the result of the last governorship election in Osun State have denied reports that Iyiola Omisore outshone Aregbesola in the alleged counted results.

According to them, the report was false and was circulated to the media via a forged electronic mail of the electoral commission.

One of them alleged that the result was purportedly masterminded by the mbers of the Peoples Democratic Party.

While speaking on the telephone, he said, "The report is false. We have just been notified. I suspect that may be from the opposition party."

They, however, vowed to punish perpetrators of the act, saying such act could lead to violence in the state.

Corruption has been finally legalised in Nigeria courtesy of FG. It is unbelivevable that Nigeria can be rotten to this level; extorting and deceiving poor graduates for unavailable jobs. All FG agencies had perfected this trick and now try to compete with one another on who is smarter. It started with military and paramiitary (all over the world it is free to join military), now NYSC and unbileveable NDE. Nigeria youth wake up you are sleeping, before they were stealing our money we said no problem, we paid tax but no amenities, no electric supply and we paid mandatory fee for darkness now there are ready to steal from jobless youth sweat and labour; and we are laughing. However, the percentage of recurrent expenditure to total spending increased significantly. Recurrent expenditure has been a larger component of Nigeria's annual national budgets as it has averaged c.69.51% of aggregate expenditure in the last seven years.
