I’m beginning to see even my own pastor, and most of the pastors in Nigeria as common rogues, criminals and scammers who won’t even put financial gains at hold even when it could lead to the death of their followers. Jesus was a selfless man who had nothing yet gave the world his life. I seriously think it’s time I reconsider my faith. Something is wrong with most of pastors and we so called Christians. I seriously think we are just dummies following some Satans parading themselves as MOgs. And I think the Corona virus is Gods way of exposing these fraudsters. I’m done with church and will never kneel before any more pastor in my entire life. May God forgive me Incase I’m wrong
please, please and please don't go that way, I was once like you. In fact, I became agnostic, but I was found. You see, don't let anybody, I repeat, anybody determine who you are in Christ but let Christ be the determinant of your faith. Believe me, I don't pay tithe but give willingly to anybody be it church or individual. In fact, I rejected tithe card in my church. And I promise that the day I will be personally attack in that church will be the day I will leave the church but not leave Christ. And I have never been attacked on personal ground though Malachi 3 is always our text when it comes to tithes.

So bro, never leave Christ.

It pays to serve Jesus, I speak from my heart;
He’ll always be with us, if we do our part;
There’s naught in this wide world can pleasure afford,
There’s peace and contentment in serving the Lord.

in as much I respect some of your submission, I could remember Paul (a junior in rank - although by our "own" standard) calling Peter an hypocrite to his face.

You see, protection does not shield us for saying the truth if it is in line with the scripture. And the theory of touch not my anointed is really doing a great damage to Christianity in the sense that we succumb to whatever 'our daddy in the Lord' do to us.

Let us stand for the truth no matter what.

Was Akintola representing Fulani herdsmen?

How would Akintola have responded to that issue?
Would he have gone there and asked
"Where are the cows?"

If any future Yoruba space is to survive we must resist the tyranny of one narrative or coerced deification. We can see the results of that attitude in Borno

Akintola was no villain he was a politician who dared to differ and was demonised.

We must interrogate history and shun zealotry and fanaticism.

Yoruba should be proud of Akintola because he stood up for them and was not politically correct

Wrong and wrong. If Ojukwu wanted to attack Yorubas(Lagos), would he have made a Yoruba man- Banjo, the commander of that battalion? No. A Yoruba man led that expedition towards Lagos and the aim was to drive the northern soldiers out of Lagos and expectedly the whole western Nigeria. Awolowo initially complained to Ojukwu about how northern soldiers dominated his region. Read history books again. Igbos had no problems with the Yorubas up to the time of that expedition.
Oga you funny die ooooo

Yujin:
No learned Igbo man will fault this post of yours. That's why Zik despite his achievement for independence is not celebrated in Igboland. As for Obiano, he's doing it perhaps to curry favour with the government at the centre for his personal ambition. Zik I believe was a man that was sincerely wrong. I wish people could understand him. He never wanted to see a divided Africa even if it means selling away his family or even ethnic group. Awo and Bello were never like that. The British saw this and played him very well because it was him they feared most. Even in the thick of the war you could see him stand for a United Nigeria by calling Ojukwu - a dictator. Using words like rebels for his own people who are suffering and dying hoping that others could see what he had in mind but they could see nada. All they saw was a people including him that should be defeated and silenced. I would have believed in Nigeria and their narrative if they had supported Zik to be the President having sacrificed all these but alas, it wasn't to be so. This message should sink into the minds of all Igbos and other Eastern ethnic groups who think going against the consensus of your people to prove your loyalty to a Nigeria before the Hausa/fulani politicians is all a waste of time. You will be disgraced if not killed at the end. Didn't it happen to Isaac Adaka Boro? Didn't it happen to Gowon himself? Why did Dimka kill Murtala? Why did Gideon Orkar carry out the coup? What was his speech like? Obasanjo himself was almost killed despite his sacrifice for Nigeria save for providence. His presidential emergence was a trade off for the fulani led north to remain in power not because they loved him. Why is he complaining of recent? What about T.Y Danjuma? Is he not lamenting today? Biafra became a necessity today for most Igbos because they see Nigeria as hopeless and irredeemable. They don't have to hate anyone for that. We don't seek the failure of anyone. We just seek to be able to control our destiny in a country that we can plan ourselves. How calling Biafra translates to war beats my imagination? Did we declare war before? NO! The only thing we are saying today is that fulanis will not import their people from other countries to come take over our lands and they won't cage us as they're doing to others now. As for those aiding them despite how clear their evil plans are, we say; watch it. Time shall tell.
I don't think a sensible person will go against biafrans leaving this SEEMINGLY hopeless country but you cannot leave by unleashing a lot of hatred on other tribes.
Truly, a call to leave the country is NEVER a call for war but when lace with hate speeches will make it tantamount to a call for FIGHT.
everybody is fed up with the country but that is not an avenue to be throwing stones at others.
Thanks bro

Nnamdi Kanu will forever be rich coz he will continue to have a lot of sub-optimal brain humans to brainwash.

Let me cure you of your innate ignorance and you should accept my words and replies as a service to humanity.

Firstly, Gowon released Awolowo in August 4, 1966. That is almost a year before the Biafra war started.

Lieut Col. Gowon was the head of state of Nigeria at that time and he superintended over all the lands and seas of Nigeria in 1966 including the eastern region.

If you had a normal IQ, you would have known that Awolowo was a federal prisoner. Had it been Ojukwu released him from prison, he would have been picked up by the federal troops the moment he set his foot in Lagos. To give you an example, If Ikpeazu releases Nnamdi Kanu from prison in Abia, won’t the FG police and DSS arrest Kanu the moment he sets his foot in Abuja?

Also, Biafra war started in July 1967, that is only the time when Ojukwu has maximum control of the defunct eastern region. If Awo was released during this time, then we would have said Ojukwu masterminded his release.

I have tried my best to educate you, if you still remain adamant after this, then your case is beyond redemption!
honestly, you plagiarised my mind undiluted

Awolowo was never a regional prisoner but a federal prisoner and think of it this way, ojukwu released him yet he went back to gowon to work in his cabinet

It is very obvious Nigeria can never be that Nation we all would be proud of. We are more than 50 years old. I live in Lagos and it's a shit hole just like every other state in Nigeria. Compared to countries like SA ,Egypt,Kenya etc. We cannot manage ourselves it is evident. Let's all agree for a separation so that we can move at our pace. The Northerners and your people have occupied all federal government agencies, there are no Jobs but you only protest when an Igbo man is caught for fraud not minding the fact that his Homeland is deliberately made unconduicive. We are our own problems. Kanu speaks you lots criticize him to death but do absolutely nothing afterwards. Is that a curse? I won't mind what tribe you are from.
inasmuch I am falling for your submission, Kanu starts his secession campaign on VERY wrong footing. I ASSUME most Yorubas like me wouldn't have gone against if not for his anti-yoruba crusade of his campaign. Thanks

Just analyse what you said. How can ships sail into Biafra? Which sea port in Biafra would they come to? The only sea ports Biafra had at that time was port Harcourt and Calabar seaports and had been captured by Nigeria

What Ojukwu agreed to was that relief supplies would be shipped by aid organisations and also distributed by them. The problem was that Gowon insisted that it would be his military government that would conduct the distribution themselves and Ojukwu could not take that risk. It would have been suicide for Ojukwu to have allowed armed Nigerian Soldiers into Biafra under the guise of food distribution, those Soldiers could easily have launched an attack on Biafra its self

It was the government of Nigeria's duty to see that aid gets into Biafra as it is well known that aid organisations such as red cross and the United nation will not smuggle weapons for nobody.
uncle, where are you getting your info...
What Gowon want was inspection of relief materials going to biafra land not helping to distribute relief materials.

You have listened to the Biafran propaganda for so long!

The FG allowed for a safe land corridor for humanitarian aids to pass to Biafran CIVILIAN population but Lt Col Ojukwu rejected the offer but instead insisted that the FG should allow free passage of Ships (used to smuggle weapons) to Biafra.

Without the total blockade, Biafran Civil war would have lingered till 1975-1980 , causing the deaths of more people.

Now, answer these questions;

1) Which Government said no? Was it the Government of Biafra or the Federal Government of Nigeria?

2) Why did Biafra allow Nigeria to determine Biafran access to the sea?

3) Did Biafra consider how she will feed her teeming population during the war without relying on the cooperation of Nigeria?

4) Did the FG have right to determine what come and go out of Nigeria?
You should not have given him expo, he needs to thank you for this.

...and the food supplies managing to come in were diverted/waylaid by their soldiers for their own upkeep.

You seem to be the only person who does not know that the federal government of Nigeria blockaded Biafra from air, land and sea and prevented aid organisations such caritas. Red cross and the UN from shipping in food.

Infact, the red cross got so frustrated at the Nigerian government that is started flying in food at night into Uli Airport.

Unfortunately, airplanes cannot carry as much load as ships so the little that was flown in was not enough so people starved to death unnecessarily.

It was the duty of the Government of Gowon to have opened the port to aid shipment to Biafra but he didnt
Thanks so much jare, but what brought about the blockade? what are they shipping into Biafra. And don't forget to add Awolowo policy to the excuse of hunger in the land.

...but Biafra soldiers were growing fat while the children were dying of hunger... how do they get their own food.

gidgiddy:
The video is Banjo saying that he was arrested while waiting in the ante-room to see the "supreme commander", the title Ironsi went by while head of state. Banjo was arrested by Lt Col Kurubo and Major Anwunah on 17th of January, so obviously, the letter was addressed to Ironsi since that was the same day Ojukwu was appointed Military Governor of Eastern Nigeria. Banjo was in jail throughout the 6 months of Ironsi's regime.

What some people may not know is that Ojukwu actually helped Banjo, and Banjo repaid Ojukwu with treachery. Ojukwu ordered Banjo's release after Ironsi's death, gave Banjo an apartment at Government House Enugu. When Ojukwu declared Biafra, he promoted Banjo to Brigadier in the Biafran Army and charged him with the task of capturing Lagos

Banjo, Ifeajuna, Alele and Abam all plotted to remove Ojukwu. What Banjo did not know was that one of the people he recruited into the plot, Major Bernard Odogwu, was loyal to Ojukwu. It was Odogwu who recorded Banjo and other plotters in a meeting where they were putting finishing touches to their plans and took the evidence to Ojukwu. All 4 men were arrested and faced a tribunal where the tape was played. All 4 men were found guilty of treason and executed

Bernard Odogwu survived the war and wrote a book called "No place to hide: Crises and conflicts inside Biafra"

In this book, Odogwu detailed not only Banjo's plot to overthrow Ojukwu, he also included the transcripts of Banjos trial
Hello sir, are you sure of what you heard or read? And till date, no video or audio of the said plan to overthrow Ojukwu. God dey oooo
