It was not Gowons job to collapse the region's into states. The Region were negotiated by representatives of the people at independence. Gowons job was to hold elections and return Nigeria to democratic civil rule.

you should have filled and submit the indemnity for on time and you should have used the original date of birth. It might affect if details of your documents contradict the detail of your post utme.

I haven't changed it on Jamb portal yet,hope this won't affect my chances of getting admission?

To the best of my understanding, It won't affect you now but the implication is that you are not given admission by JAMB but the school but if the school eventually give you admission and you graduate you may not be mobilised for NYSC as you don't have any record of admission with JAMB.

The election was free and fair not because Prof. Nwosu was clinical but because Abiola was popular in the entire country hence there was no need for any friction. There was no violence nor fighting nor ballot snatching, it was a seamless exercise. It was only in the East that he didnt get enough votes (which is expected because he was Yoruba and automatically an outcast), even at that he still had a close margin to his opponent in that region. It had nothing to do with Nwosu's courage or wisdom. It was visible to the blind and audible to the deaf that Abiola was the winner.
