I was with an Ibeno man and Ijaw man right there in Uyo and this topic came up. Ibeno is different from Ijaw but are related to Andoni in Rivers and some Igbo/Akwa Ibom tribes. They trace their origin to Cameroun.

all the ijos do is claim clans whose origins are yet to be known. they did that with the ogoni ,now its clear that ogonis are more related to mmoños than ijos.

Nigeria was structured as a biz contract by the Brits.. in order according to Lord Fredrik Lugard to use surpluses of the South to correct the deficits of the North. that meant that if the North was viable alone without running on budget deficits, there would've been no amalgamation!!
I, in the name of all sane southerners hereby oppose the continued existence of this geographical expression and therefore demand its complete destruction
we the southern nations gave the North 38yrs out of 5 decades of corporate existence to rectify the country but they wasted it.therefore its pertinent that they leave the political space for the South while they reflect on another 38yrs for their wrongdoings against the Nigerian federation.
