You do not appear to understand why Ndigbo or southeast leaders ask for sixth state in SE.

If you ask a northerner today, he would want even 20 more states created in the north, ditto for a Southwestener.

Equity in Political representation in Abuja as well as in distribution of federal allocations are reasons why SE merits and asks for a sixth state.

The two most populated SE states of Imo and Anambra with the largest numbers of LGAs deserve to have the sixth state carved out from them.
Broz, even though I live in Imo and am well aware of state agitations for the SE,I'd rather go with Anioma state as the next Igbo state.
its a pity that while perspicacious fellows are looking at the problems of Igbos macroscopically, you chose to look at it microscopically angry

the old Magi bore Yeshua gifts of gold, frankincense & myrrh... and we're bearing to Nigeria gifts of industry, entrepreneurship & national development.
anyway I think we should save national development for Igbo land,at least till we see what plans our dear good Lord has for Nigeria undecided

Xo read again and dont be confuse dis time....
its good to know kos I've never supported that system of states left over from Hausa balkanization of Igbo land.this is the model we should work with...
the LG system of govt
Abia 17LGs
Anambra 21LGs
Anioma 9+1(igbanke)LGs
Ebonyi 13LGs
Enugwu 17LGs
Imo 27LGs
Rivers 13LGs
CRS 1LG
AKS 1LG

and all these gives us a total of 120 provincial districts in Igbo land. we need to deemphasize on state boundaries

No wonder the isreali ambassador to Nigeria was astonished the last time he visted Enugu. Enugu in over a century of existence has accomdated generations, seen developments and war, and several govts. Enugu with one of the best planned network of roads with paved pedestrian walkway, sports arenas, shopping malls with one of best working utilities in any Nigerian city- excellent refuse disposal, traffic/street lights, police vehicles etc when you are in Enugu never miss the sight of the rolling hills you will definitely love it
what did Moshe Ram say about Enugwu?

When you point it out on here dat fashola is overhyped some peeps wud want to feast on you. Sullivan did a lot in transforming Enugu considering the little federal allocation coming to the state. He transformed Enugu without borrowing $1b from world bank like one governor from the south west. Enugu abulugo obodo oyibo. Ala igbo adigo mma. Long live Nigeria
it doesn't really matter smiley
chime had a vision.. he took it and ran with it and now people are praising him.he saw that Enugwu would become the capital of an imperial state, that's why he played his part in the realization of that vision as it concerns the city on a hill.
more grease to his elbow and when the time comes,he'd be awarded with the order of the rising Sun smiley wink

if it were in the 18th and 19th centuries, Chad and Cameroon would've made an alliance and jointly invaded Nigeria, seizing born, yobe and CRS. cheesy
but on a serious note,if Nigeria can't defend the NE,they should simply cede those areas to BH

LORDI:
The way some ignorant people will foolishy come unto nairaland waiting for nigeria to collaspe,if nigeria should divide I tell you even biafra will find it hard to survive,..and a time will still come, those states making up biafra may still want to go their seperate ways..I can't imagine applying for visa before I'll travel to the north or the east or even lagos...ONE NIGERIA,every country pass through challenges,it's these challenges that make us more stronger..ONE NIGERIA,
my friend stop talking shyt!!
Biafra is an Igbo project so there's no how an Igbo state would decide to secede from its kinsmen..just like st Petersburg or Nijny Novgorod waking up and decide to break away from mother Russia. yes we would've problems but threat of secession isn't one of them.that you should talk doesn't mean you should talk nansense!! angry

In Igbo language? Now you guys know why you lost the civil war so badly. You thought we the Ibibios, Efiks, Annangs and the Ijaws would STUPIDLY support you so you can lord it over us? You must be dreaming.

You can have Biafra but we aren't going along with you. Remain in your landlocked enclaves. You want our oil and ports? Never!
grin grin cheesy grin grin cheesy grin grin
am sorry dearest brother we don't need your oil nor neither do we need your ports.I've the feeling that you..as an mgboko/mmoño should know that Ala mmoño hasn't enough oil nor good natural harbors, even the ijaws know that we're not interested in their lands.. as a matter of fact who would want lands destroyed by oilhuh
the first war was fought together with you guys and we appreciate especially mmoño contributions to our state smiley
we're not landlocked.. as a matter of fact we've 4 ports viz PH and bonny/igbani on bonny river and obuaku and opobo on Imo river.all we've to do is pay the ogonis and andonis handsomely for overland services.. or even incorporate them into our state if they so wish cool.
as ijos would've their NDPR so also I think you mmoños would be better off in Ambazonia wink ...
