new2020: Good one! Ikwerre chose to disassociate themselves from the igbos because of OIL. Now that oil has served them no good and oil prices falling/monthly allocation, they are now regretting this. We in Cross River and Akwa Ibom have never and will not deny our Igbo brothers. We stood with them before the war, during the war and have maintained a cordial relationship with them. Ikwerre can keep living in denial; they have no importance whatsoever to the Igbos. The Igbos already have a powerful house in Delta called the Aniomas. Aniomas have never denied thier igbo heritage and brothers. They see themselves as Igbos. Today, they control the banking and financial sector of this country. thanks my Mmoño brother... when the time comes, the SE,Anioma and AKS would form a tripod that would rule this country.let ikwerres for now continue making noise kos of PH that was built by an Igbo and a few oil wells that would soon be useless. Rivers must be forced to return these areas 1]oyigbo LG to Abia 2]ONELGA to Imo 3]andoni,bonny & opobo LGs to AKS when this is finished, ikwerres and ogonis would've no option than fight on the streets of PH for governorship of Rivers state. |

barcanista: On one hand you yell that they are Igbos, on another hand you call them inferior genes. It is a shame on your part because I know the Ikwerres very well. Their land is blessed, they are peaceful with neighbours and are not covetous. They have never schemed to be Igbos. In fact, it is the other way round. It is funny how you guys say ills of Ijaws, Ikwerre, Yoruba, Hausa, Fulani, Igala etc and yet you will be the one to cry that nobody likes you. no dey misyarn abeg |

OdenigboAroli: Ide nna,I get your reasoning but I belong to the school of thought that states that money is power...We dont have to become Nigerian President in order to dominant the Nigeria economy and dictate its pace. There are things we need more than uniting all Igbo...Think jews,brother.....If only Anambra can get their house in order others will follow suit. Seriously,we dont need them! Lets build a strong industries, market and economy and call the shots from our living rooms. I agree with you brother Anambra should lead the way in agriculture and industrialization of the SE. we should also endeavor to ensure that Anioma state is created and that Rivers state is cut to size! that state must return to the SE,areas that were fraudulently carved to her just bkos they had oil. |

Ikwerre this Ikwerre that..what tha hell wit you people!
Calculate your level of embarrassment, add 10 to it and multiply the total by a billion..Thats the number of times i am embarassed whenever Ikwerre is referred to as Igbo.
I wouldn't even have the time to trouble your mentions if u dint quote me.. pazienza is an idealist and moreover Ali ikwerre is landlocked! ala Igbo has a traditional seaport which is at bonny and also at opobo.we can also augment with seaports domiciled in ala Mmoño so I don't see where ikwerres feature in the scheme of things! |

Deltagiant: Funny turn of events indeed. At the end of the civil war in 1970, the victorious federal vandals led by General Gowon set a pre condition for the Ikwerres to be admitted in the newly created Rivers state. And which was that Ikwerre must renounce their Igbo ethnicity. Led by their highest ranking politician, Dr. Frank Ekeh, the Ikwerres of the former Owerri division did just that.
Now, exactly 45 years after, the Ikwerres led by another highest ranking political office holder, Chukwubike Amaechi, are in a new drama. Today, before another Northern civil war officer, Gov. Amechi has denounced the 1970 affidavit to mean that they are now Igbo.
Amaechi, you're welcome, but not without due respect to other proud Ikwerres that are true to their Igbo roots. BTW, what qualifies someone as an Igbo is not limited to speaking the language. IFE EJI ABU IGBO ERIKA! And GEJ the Ijaw is very much Igbo than you today. Nevertheless, you're welcome. this is what the likes of berem, obiagelli and other APC Igbo traitors fail to understand! |

What's the big deal about speaking the language?? Okrikans, Bonny Opobo etc speak igbo, does that make them more igbo than GEJ. By virtue of marriage the President is Igbo; Mama Peace is indeed igbo not the Okrika she claims elections can make people tell useless lies! barcanista, come and put this guy in order oo |

HopeAtHand: Amaechi is just catastrophic..How could he possibly have insinuated that Ikwerres are Igbos because he intends to canvass support for Buhari..This is an affront on me and other Ikwerres past and present who have over time, painstakingly defined Ikwerres as a separate entity from the Igbos.
Igbos shouldn't become gleeful over Amaechis outburst cos we all know he has a penchant for controversy..Ameachi could turn up tomorrow in Osun or Ondo or whatever Yoruba state and claim to be Yoruba as he bears Rotimi as his name..
This particular controversial utterance, should like others, be taken with a pinch of salt. don't worry Mr hope kos we Igbos ve rejected him and his claims! its better I've neighbors like the Mmoño of AKS than ve brothers like the ikwerre who'd betray me in time of trouble. tell your governor to face front and stop spewing lies to score cheap points! |

akpumping7720: When Ojukwu fought d civil war, he didn't have so many supporters because Gowon created states out of the then Eastern region. Most of those states that were under Eastern region has been looking for a way to pull out of Eastern region coz dey believe they are not of d same tribe. So when Gowon created d states, Ojukwu was left alone with core Easterners... And when u talk about those tribes dat wanted to pull out of the Eastern Region u talked about Rivers and South Eastern States. Gowon did this so as to win the support of the minorities. So, the SS cannot win the battle alone even if they trade all their crude oil for weapons, how many people can they shoot at sight? So, if they win the support of the igbos they will have many combats on their side... Boss hope I made myself clear. Pls note: am not trying to promote war but am only trying tto explain what is obtainable. And the summary is this: u can't expect the minority to go into war with the majority and expect the minority to overcome except with the intervention of an external force. ojukwu had minority support.. but only from the Mmoños of present day AKS.moreover the SS hasn't recovered from the Biafran war hangover. the SE presently is on its own..apart from Aniomans, they don't givva damn about the SS or Nigeria. the SE helped the Igboid groups in old Rivers expel majority of Ijos to bayelsa,so Igboid groups in Rivers like ikwerre,Ogba,Etche,Ekpeye and bonny/opobo now constitute a majority in the new Rivers state. when the time comes, the SE would also help Anioma become a state... and by then rivers would also be forced to return oyigbo LG and the egbema and ndoni parts of ONELGA to the SE which they stole from it in 1976. I've digressed,Sir.. but I believe the SS should show some spine on this issue! |

WhiteTechnology: Ojukwu failed because he refused to trade oil for weapons
Despite that, his boys killed at least 500 thousands soldiers
Now imagine if he had traded oil for weapons yep...Ojukwu refused the Soviets.if he had agreed to them, biafrans with T55 tanks,MiG & Ilyushin fighter jet and avtomatov Kalashnikovas in addition with their determination that's evident in the present day Igbo would've captured Lagos and overran Nigeria. but am happy the Generalissimo refused the Russians |

akpumping7720: Ok. I hear you. I just pray the SS shouldn't start what they can't finish. They don't need to start trading oil for weapons, we already heard that ur GEJ is sponsoring some Snipers for training outside the country secretly. We shall see the outcome of everything. Ojukwu who tries secession the other time would have been the one to tell u how far.... Coz I believed you should know d difference between Majority and Minority. The worst that could happened is if the Igbos supported the SS. pls Sir can you explain the bold part |
