Politics / Re: Presidency Remains In The North –sankara, Pdp National Vice-chairman, North-west by chidichris(m): 1:38pm On May 19, 2010
pdp is just a group of irresponsible criminals. it has been the order in pdp that is zoning. just for personal interests now, few ppl are out to destroy that.
i see nothing jonathan(obj boy) been the president come 2011. what tangible thing has he done with the little time he has now apart from chassing ibori out of nigeria?
abeg let them give the northerners their position for the next four years before obj will give it back to his pals.
Sports / Re: Mikel Obi Vs Alex Song by chidichris(m): 1:19pm On May 19, 2010
right on time! i was waiting to see how long it would take you to return with your usual song. by your reasoning, based on the african cup, yakubu aiyegbeni is a better player than didier drogba. nuff said. i dint tell you that i wanted to be a footballer and my dad said no. a scout spoke to me about going for trials in the states and my dad advised me to finish school first. no regrets there for me and i dont see why you keep bringing it up, i even regret sharing such intimate details of my life on an internet forum but whatever. could you stick to the topic??

@kgdavid,
tell me any good player and i will outline his achievements for u.
henry was enjoying his days in arsenal until dry season of trophies came around and he had no other choice than to leave for barca. fabregas believes he is a good player and he knows that the taste of the pudding is in the cooking hence he wants out.
the last time i checked, good players prove that by what they achieve and this achievements are mostly based on trophies and medals.
don't regret sharing an intimate details as u claim but begin to regret this great lies of all time.
did u hear mikel was taken to usa by a scout for him to become a super star? why did u choose the wrong step for ur journey? if u had any scout wanting to take u to the usa, it means u are tall and can suit in for a basketball player.how many useful players went on trail in the usa? no wonder ur father never believed in ur abilities and sense of judgements. how old are u and how old will u be at the end of ur education for u to start ur football carrier? do u want to join football when quality coaches like ferguson, hiddink, mourinho, ancelloti etc must have ended their coaching carriers?
with mikel's dirty role at chelsea, he did not get even a red card throughout the season coupled with his achievements trophy wise in the season, u don't consider him great, could u pls name those things a player will do for u to recognise him as a soccer super star.
when u start ur intended soccer carrier, do u wish to be like song who is trophiless or mikel whose second name is trophy? pls make a wish and that will be ur portion.
Sports / Re: Mikel Obi Doubtful For World Cup? by chidichris(m): 12:59pm On May 19, 2010
Wow! My first topic and its making it to the front page?

Thanks guys for all the responses. Guess its a moot point now that Mikel has started training.

@blanc,
are u surprised? don't be. as long as you have any negative news about mikel, u will remain in the front page.
Politics / Re: In Defence Of Ibori: The Maximum Force Is Uncalled For! by chidichris(m): 8:17pm On May 17, 2010
i am begining to feel i am in a kiddies avenue otherwise matured people will know that uk has one of the world's highest level of human right activists.
what is the uk govt working towards? the seizure of whatever funds ibori must have brought to their country.
how many of our governmental officials are sevring or have served jail terms in uk?
why and how did alams leave uk? whatever means that was done is still possible in case ibori goes there. by the way, why was alams not extradicted to london if he really escaped from there?
children, grow up pls.
the main purpose of this noise is to keep ibori away why the election lasts to enable them take back delta state.
Sports / Re: Mikel Obi Vs Alex Song by chidichris(m): 8:03pm On May 17, 2010
dont be ridiculous. nobody is bringing anyone down here. we are simply talkin football not politics. if by stating a preference for song i am bringing mikel down then by default you are bringing song down by stating a preference for mikel.

true true but does this mean that enyeama is a better keeper than say essam el hadary(egyptian goalie) or carlos idris kameni? does this mean odemwingie is better than drogba? it certainly does not make mikel better than song. lets keep things in context

@kgdavid,
it is very very fortunate that both playesr are from africa and they participated in the same tournament - african cup of nations.
again both players are playing in english league and participated in the same competitions - carling cup, fa cup, epl and champions league.
what are their achievements at the end of the football season?

it simply means our best players are not good enough. they came third in african cup of nations but the other good players came out empty handed.
players are judged on their achievements.
don't be arsenal that are good but have nothing to show for their goodness.
the problem here is envy. u have two legs that are not useful to u, ur family, ur community and nigeria as a whole yet u are this shameless as to run-down guys with useful legs.
have u ever stop and think about it for once, mikel just with the same two legs u have is always a subject of discussion earning good living via legitimate means. google his name and his personality will show.
mention him to 100 reasonable soccer analysts and they will discuss him with different adjective. say his name to quality coaches and they will tell u how they will use him to achieve great things.
bbc, cnn and other world class media houses will be greatful to have him in their studios.
of what use are u to urself, ur immediate family, community and nigeria as a whole.
change ur behaviour as u may not know it, envy and jealous is written all over u and that is the begining of failure for every youngman.
learn to appreciate what u have. bring drogba and the best players in the world to nigeria today and u will say the same.
u told me on this forum that u wanted to be a footballer but ur father said no. that simply means u are not old enough to take ur decissions what more someone else's decission.
Politics / Re: In Defence Of Ibori: The Maximum Force Is Uncalled For! by chidichris(m): 2:19pm On May 17, 2010
many of us here are too young to understand the country, i mean too young in reasoning. bode george is in jail but he is living a better life more than 90% of nigerians outside.
bode george stole ovr N100b and is serving a two yr term when millions of nigerians will ask for n1m to go for five yrs.
who among these celebrants is living a better life than alams? we are been used by these criminals.
the battle is not about corruption rather it is supremacy.
we all know how much pdp wasted in their efforts to take over anambra state via soludo. anambra is ojukwu's constituency while abia state is for orji uzor kalu. ibori is on his way to stabilize his ownership of delta but they can't let him be.
the idea or move here is to get nigeria under one unbrella and make it a one party system of govt in practice while on the pages of the newspapers, it will remain a multi-party system.
the only move by the efcc to the north met abokis on rampage and since then, who have heard a corrupt northern gov?
we claim a one nigeria but we have more than 100 constitutions.
Politics / Re: 2011: Nigeria May Break Up If Jonathan Contests - Pdp Elder by chidichris(m): 2:03pm On May 17, 2010

if for real or for sure his contestng will bring about this break up, i will ask that the election take place this week.
Politics / Re: Nigeria May Go Bankrupt As Crude Oil Price Falls by chidichris(m): 1:59pm On May 17, 2010
my prayer is that it comes to $20 per barel. who knows, that might be the miracle or turning point we have ben praying for.
at least all professionals will go back to their professions and no one will kill, die or commit funny things to become a ruler because oil is the root of all evils in nigeria.
if the price comesdwn to $20, no one will have the mind to give out $16 b just for no reason.
Sports / Re: Mikel Obi Vs Alex Song by chidichris(m): 11:12pm On May 16, 2010
It's all about math, people. All about math.

Simple equation:
Chelsea > Arsenal thus Mikel > A. Song

Haha, well that was for laughs. But in all honesty I have watched both play in several matches this season and all I can say is that their roles are quite different, even if they play in the same DM position.
Arsenal's tactics on field aren't the same as Chelsea's. Song has more pace that's for sure. Mikel is more powerful and has better passing qualities (no, not just side/back passing, he's better than that and YOU know it ¬¬).

Anywhoo, I'd pick Mikel in my team over Song.

@Iyineda,
u are right. if anyone picks a looser over a winner, that one needs to visit yaba mental rehab.
mikel has done double this season and song did only running. with his pace, he could not help cameroun in african cup of nationas and arsenal cld not get anything so what is the need for pace if the needed results refused to come,
Politics / Re: In Defence Of Ibori: The Maximum Force Is Uncalled For! by chidichris(m): 9:16pm On May 16, 2010
is it not a normal thing to ask questions when u don't understand.
obasanjo is a criminal - he is involved in harlibuton scandal, he is involved in the atiku/ptf scandal, he is indicted in the power probe, he was n20k rich in 1999 but today i hope no slowpoke will convience nigerians that he is this rich with his salary.
obasanjo's daughter is a criminal wanted in the usa in a kidnapping case while indicted here as a criminal in the medical funds scandal.
charity begins at home. can a man with dirty in his eyes clean someone's else dirty.
jonathan's wife is involved in a scandal under efcc file.
tony annenih, n300b. ibb, someone help me name that, atiku - wow, tinubu, odili and other govs - states'head criminals, bode george - jail bird, andy uba and chris uba oh my GOD,
mourise iwu - i no fit shout,
can someone tell me who is not a criminal in nigeria from professors to illitrates?
we are talented and natural criminals and we do that with ease.
Politics / Re: I Will Be On Facebook — Jonathan. To Do What? by chidichris(m): 8:52pm On May 16, 2010
this is another stupid idea and topic.
what are u expecting to hear from nigerians on facebook? that there is no light? or that kidnappers are on rampage? are we going to remind jonathan through facebook that aso rock is full of criminals?
will jonathan go to facebook to hear that pdp is based whatever they are doing on selection which is against the principles of democracy.
jonathan, pdp and this idea of facebook is rather a square peg in a a round hole.
Politics / Re: In Defence Of Ibori: The Maximum Force Is Uncalled For! by chidichris(m): 8:46pm On May 16, 2010
So basically my deduction here is that you think Ibori should not be arrested because he is not the only thief?

@sagamite,
wether u deduct or add, we are natural criminals and stealing is a way of life in nigeria and it shld be made a generally acceptable way of life in nigeria.
arresting ibori will destroy ur deduction so let ibori be free.
it is a stealing galore as has been declared by those at the helm of our affairs.
coming here from time to time to rejoice over who is arrested in dubai or london makes no sense.
after all, andy uba the then special adviser to obj was arrested, and indicted in the usa over a money laundary case. he was sentence to jail with option of fine which he paid and came back to meet nigerians who ribadu told it was a civil case.
our useless and shameless senators shld enshrine it into our constitution that stealing henceforth is nolonger a crime.
in a corruption fighting country, a senator got married to a 13 yr old baby. in a corruption fighting country, a ruler slept with his daughter inlaw. in a corruption fighting country, a whole ship disappeared over night. in a corruption fighting country, bola ige a seating attorney general of the federation was assasinated without trace. oh, we are fighting corruption.
today we believe the interpol and metroplitan police but let us wait till hilary comes back to tell us the undiluted truth. let us wait till cnn makes a documentary of niger delta. let us wait till bbc makes a documentary on lagos state.
we are deciet to ourselves.
corruption fighting my ass.
if all these resources are wasted on just one ibori, what happens to the millions of iboris in this god forsaken jungle called nigeria.
is it not shameful that nobody is talking about the pressing problems of this country.
Politics / Re: In Defence Of Ibori: The Maximum Force Is Uncalled For! by chidichris(m): 8:27pm On May 16, 2010
it is always the case. many are here to jump because others are jumping.
leaders are those who have responsibility to make rules and regulations guiding the actions of others. leaders are suposed to live by example.
aso rock is the headquatters of nigeria and how clean it is? what examples are the occupants of the so-called aso rock are showing to followers?
whenever a leader is corrupt, there is no magic or miracle anyone can do about it.
nigeria including each and everyone of us are included in this corruption galore.
we are all guilty of this same crime for which we all want ibori to be killed.
in a very plain language, we have criminality as our national symbol.
we have crime as our second name. in fact, the law of the country shld make crime a way of life.
if there are few clean men in nigeria, ibori must be among them.
if ibori stole in delta and for that reason , delta is not working what about the other 35 states in nigeria and what about nigeria herself?
it is high time we told ourselves this bitter truth.
aso rock and it occupants are corrupt and we the followers have no choice than to make corruption the order of the day.
as soon as nigeria get a clean man as president, he will need no ribadu to make this country clean and if anyone doubts me, let him find out from jerry rawlings of ghana.
is anyone here part of the buhari/idiagbo govt that made nigerians stay away from indiscipline. we must know that the idiagbos never last.
like i said, we are doomed with bad leaders.
with this pdp in govt, we will not lack ibori rather there will be multiplication of iboris
Politics / Re: In Defence Of Ibori: The Maximum Force Is Uncalled For! by chidichris(m): 6:13pm On May 16, 2010
what is hard for the average nairalandwr to understand is your specious arguments. according to you, unless the alpah criminals are punihed, all lesser criminals should go scot free. that is the crux of your argument, not so? ibori is a 'small boy thief, and until we go after atiku, he should be left alone.

i guss you know the 'our son' wont wash here so u are gin for the - but he only stole 100 billion - others stole much more

@oyb,
what is ur answer to the question(why is atiku not in jail?)

chidichris,
you really amaze me with your warped arguments. i guess growing up in a dis-jointed society like ours is to blame.

@george p,
there u go again.
why wasting all these time insulting me rather than answering a simple question(why is atku not in jail)
assuming this is an exam question, will u turn and starting insulting everybody like u are doing to me?
the dis-jointed society is a function of ur darling rulers who are fighting corruption and this dis-jointed society has given me the brain to ask this dis-jointed question of which i expect a dis-jointed answer or a dis-jointed quietness.
oga dis-jointed, if u lack dis-jointed answer to my dis-jointed question, kindly and dis-jointedly go over to another dis-jointed topic as this topic has been dis-jointedly locked under dis-jointed lock and key - WHY IS ATIKU NOT IN JAIL?
Politics / Re: In Defence Of Ibori: The Maximum Force Is Uncalled For! by chidichris(m): 5:49pm On May 16, 2010
chidichris,
you don't have to be so full of yourself.

@george p,
u can call it whatever name u like but the topic is about the war on corruption.
u must learn to choose ur topics. on nairaland, it is not a must that u engage in every discussion.
what u saw was an act of getting involved in what i have knowledge about.
refer me to any topic on this forum where i run away from questions.
that sagamite made me thought he was a man but one out of about 100 questions dis-stablized him so he is only a boy.
make it a point of duty from today, anywhere u see me get involved, come up with ur questions and i promise to answer them to the best of my knowledge.
obj is a joker. this same ibori will turn out tomorrow in this same nigeria and pdp to be the chairman as all it will take will be a phone call across to obj to announce his loyality.
don't be decieved, under the administration that claimed fighting corruption, the highest level of looting took place. if u doubt this, see our banks.
all of us wanted iwu out and that was done but what punishment was given to iwu for playing with our minds? how do u want to discourgae future inec chairmen from acting in the same ways?
we are doomed in the area of leadership.

Politics / Re: In Defence Of Ibori: The Maximum Force Is Uncalled For! by chidichris(m): 3:59pm On May 16, 2010
some peeps just like to argue with the wrong side of their brain!

@george abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz,
this is not time to speak in parables. it is time to provide answer to a simple question.
there has been an active war on corruption headed by obj/ribadu whose main objective has been to clean nigeria up of all unclean politicians.
atiku was confirmed by these men to be a criminal under a proven and detailed circumstance. we all know that atiku is now back in pdp and a loyalist.
the simple question is, is atiku no longer the criminal he was called? if he is still, why is he not in jail?
pls if u or anyone has answer to this simple question, say it now or forever remain silent.

oga, do u know the litrary meaning of key? this question is a key.
answer pls.

So what is your argument? my arguement is that ibori is part of the group decieving u.

Ibori should not be arrested? yes, he is working with them and they are birds of a feather.

We should not be happy Ibori is arrested? no because u are been used and will be dumped as usual.

Or you just want to whine about who has not been arrested? no, just making u realise it is selective and will lead us nowhere.

WTF do you keep asking ME about Atiku?
the Bleep is that atiku used to be guilty until he became loyal and is now innocent.

@sagamite,
u made me answer u a question here and i ask just one simple question and u are replying me with legon of questions.
pls answer now or forever keep ur mouth shut.
WEEL, IN THE HABIT OF FAIR PLAY, I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PROVIDE ANSWERS TO UR IMPORTANT QUESTIONS SO PLS ANSWER ME JUST MY 1 AND ONLY QHUESTION.

KEY: why is atiku not in jail?
Politics / Re: In Defence Of Ibori: The Maximum Force Is Uncalled For! by chidichris(m): 3:29pm On May 16, 2010

I wonder o.

He keeps on asking my why Atiku is not is jail, why OBJ is not in jail, why IBB is not in jail blah blah blah.

Is it suppose to stop us from celebrating Ibori being caught? Na wah.

@sagamite,
u see how a very simple question has weakened ur muscles if not destroyed them.
many are here just shouting because others are shouting.
ibori in jail will still be better than 95% of nigerians and u call that war on corruption?
the alams that was jailed and released is still a big boy to the extreme.
if ibori decides to play along today, ur celebrations will be cut short and u and i will remain in this endless sufferings occassioned by devils in the name of rulers.
what is the importance of celebrations that will not lead u anywhere? the ghanians of 80s celebrated once and today we know how it is with them and i tell u, soon, nigerians will be on long ques to get ghana visa yet u celebrate ibori.
what is the relevance of celebrating one ibori when 149.99999 million iboris are out there?
u are celebrating lost.
let me say one thing clear here, i don't get involved on topics for the sake of getting involved. i answer questions and do that to the best of my knowledge. again, i am not that type that will go by the wind. i am a realistic man with points, facts and figures ever ready to to illustrate so u always get prepared before u get involved.
most importantly, before u make urself a voice, u must be informed and today, u have proved ur lack of information.

WHY IS ATIKU NOT IN JAIL IF HE WAS INDICTED BY RIBADU?

uncle, this question is the key with whcih i lock u.
Politics / Re: Nigeria And China Sign $23bn Deal For Three Refineries by chidichris(m): 3:18pm On May 16, 2010

What are u ranting about. .
Do u even know what international Finance means?

This deals will be Financed by International Banks
Nigeria doesnt have $23billion dollars to spend on something like this
Nobody spends their own money on things like this

What u do is get long term financing and pay back after u start to make profit. .
so pls no beed to get emotional. . . U are outside the country so u know how things are done

@philidaphia(aka paddy lo),
is this the first time nigeria is engaging in this kind of deal? how many times have u seen nigeria make gain and pay back?
do u know about the harlibuton scandal?
i don't know how many years u have been there but be reminded that this is nigeria and one day, we will wake up to see a chinese president as result of this $23b deal. china even is not the best of countries if this transaction is a genuine one.
my other fears is that this jonathan of a man is not moving on his own as he has decided to work with the devil.

Why should I explain anything about Atiku to you?

Did I tell you he did not steal?

@sagamite,
like i said, am in a very happy mode.
if atiku did steal as u said and was indicted by obj and ribadu, i ask u again, WHY IS ATIKU STILL A FREE MAN?
who is decieving who here?
what most of u do not know is if ibori tomorrow will accept their terms, become loyal and give up his position as the man in charge in delta state, he will become an innocent man again and non of u will care to ask why.
u are the tools with which these guys achieve their political aims.
ibori is just a stronghold in delta and these guys finds it difficult to break hence the effective tool(efcc via the masses).
most of us here are dying to protect an unknown course and that is a shame.
sagamite, if atiku is a criminal, confirmed and indicted by the most dedicated administration, WHY IS HE A FREE MAN?

THIS WAR I TELL U, IS NOT ABOUT CORRUPTION RATHER IS ABOUT INDUCTRINATION.

i will wait till one of u answer this very simple question: WHY IS ATIKU NOT IN JAIL?
Politics / Re: Babangida Will Not Be President - Abiola Family by chidichris(m): 2:50pm On May 16, 2010
Chidichris,with all due respect,you should stop insulting the Abiola family and their late brother's/father's legacy.His brother has said nothing wrong by opposing IBB,he is simply saying what so many Nigerians have been saying since we all heard that the retired Military man had intentions of running for president.Practically everybody is saying that it would be unaceptable and a moral hazard for IBB to run for president,so why should it be any different when the Abiolas say it? In a democracy , every man is free to speak his mind,so why not the Abiolas whose father and brother was the matyr of democracy in Nigeria ?

And stop insisting that Abiola was a thief and "was part of the cause of our present suffering as contributed by his criminalities".What concrete evidence do you have to prove that Abiola is a person of questionable character? a thief? No disrespect,but you have none ! The only "evidence" you have are old rumours that were created to stigmatize the man.What public office did he ever hold to steal from? We all know about the lack of accountability in the government as government officials are able to steal public funds and are not really answerable or accountable to anyone.But do you really believe that a manager of a multinational firm can get away with embezzling company funds on the scale you claim Abiola did ? Would he not have to answer to the firm's shareholders? His superiors in the company hierarcy in the USA? Would he not have been sent to jail? Please think about it.Let's talk like educated people.

Even with the glorified Obama of the USA, when he was running for president,speculations of him engaging in money laundering arose.But were they true? Such stories are regularly made up to taint the reputation's of public figures.

The only possible truth in all the critisms of Abiola might be his sponsorship of coups in Nigeria.But even this is unproven.There is nothing to prove this.So let's stop making claims and statememts for which we have no evidence.Abacha is a thief,Obj is a thief,ibori is one too etc , there is evidence to this effect. So Pls do not categorise the Late Legend MKO Abiola as one of these people.

For example, if i call you a liar , then it only makes sense for me to provide good evidence to back up my claim.

Thankyou.

@mue2,
i am sorry if i offend u with my post because u sound too innocent to be provoked.
i am delighted that many nigerians are doing what they can to see that nigeria is working.
u mentioned prove, every nigerian would not like ibb to come back to power, why? because of unproven allegations. but u and i know the truth.
u asked me which public office abiola had for him to steal, the same question was asked but not answered when ribadu arrested the man contesting the same senatorial position with iyabo obasanjo.
if u know about the abiola's involvements in all coups in nigeria, are they good enough reasons for us not to allow him to be the president of nigeria? do u know about nemesis? how many elections were aborted in nigeria under the military men and why is abiola's case a different one?
abiola was close to the military men and they killed him so it is a just death and killing to me because those who live by sword are to die by sword.
do u know about the ITT saga? pls find out more facts about that and know ur abiola very well.
like u said, in a democratic setting, ppl have right to air their views which the abiolas have done but the same constitution says u will not do that while infringing someone else's right or freedom.
ibb has never been disinfrachised by any law court here in nigeria hence he still has his right to vote and be voted for. the abiolas by this call are not acting in any different manner from obasanjo who says, who contests and who will not and i tell u, as long as our constitution is suprem, ibb has right to vote and be voted for and that is democracy for u.
come to the think of it, can u eat ur cake and still have them? the yorubas were compensated with obasanjo who in turn declared ibb clean of all accusations hence ribadu did not find anything worth incriminating ibb so why the noise?
until someone tells me what i don't know, ibb is a star in the making and if he has his ways, he will become the next president.

@Chidichris,

You have started again. This your blind defence for Ibori, holds absolutely no water. I asked you a simple question some time ago, which you have failed to answer. I will ask again for the benefit of this particular thread.

Did Ibori aka (Ogidigbodigbo) defraud Delta state, in plain english did he steal money from the state coffers? If the answer is yes, then what is all this defence? and believe me the answer can never be no. Visit Delta state and see.

Now for anyone who wants to know more about Nasir, please find below a link to his public facebook page. Sign up and tell him excatly what you think, but most importantly follow his trend of thought, and then arrive at your own decision if he is actually guilty of all the things ChidiChris accuses him of.

ChidiChris, you can also sign up, and pass all your ugly accussation to him. The good Mallam is civil enough to respond to your well proven cases of corruption against him.

@monkeyleg,
ibori is a criminal and he stole heavily. i am sure this great answer of mine will make u happy.
now tell me, who among the 36+ govs during the time of ibori that did not steal? pls how many of the federal govt contracts were awarded to ibori and how many of those federal contracts starting from refineries, roads, power supply, security, npa etc paid for were completed and how many ppl are standing trials or are being chased arround like ibori?
again, atiku was confirmed a criminal by obj/ribadu in 2007, what punishment did he serve?
if u think ur el rufai is on face book to listen to u and i, i then have to look at u with suspicious mind.
if u think el rufai is not guilty, can u as well inform us on why he ran alongside ribadu only to come back after the death of yar adua?
is this el rufai the same man that confessed his regrets over helping yar adua to become president?
the bible says; for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
do u know any of our politicians that did not steal? have u read the story of the adultrious woman in the bible? when they have all gathered like nigerians have gathered today to stone ibori to death, Jesus arrieved the scene and he said to them, what did she do that u want to stone her to death? they responded with one voice and many of us are doing here, she committed adultary and the law says, she will be stoned to death. Jesus was aware that they were right and the woman went against the law, he said unto them, yes u will stone her to death according to the law but he or she that has never done what she did, let that one be the first to cast his or her stone. uncle, they all left the place dropping their stones unconsciously.
who among these politicians that has never done what ibori did let him be the first to cast his stone and u will see all disappear.
did u follow the case of atiku? ribadu said to atiku, mr. man, u have been stealing with so so so and so accounts, and atiku said yes, and i have been doing so with my boss - obasanjo.
atiku accepted his criminalities but insisted he was not in it alone. he wanted to go down with his boss who was part of the deal. what happened. well, well, well, u can go but be careful.
uncle, today, atiku is a pdp member and is no longer a criminal - can u in a simple english explain that?

Chidichris let me educate you despite this your usual colossal junk opinions.

Yes, corruption is rampant in Nigeria. And yes, people throw accusations freely at will which quickly turns into public "facts". An intelligent mind needs to be able to identify clues that are indicative of which "facts" are true and which is not true.

When I hear some of you throw these silly facts around I shake my head.

To look at the indicatives:

First of all, look at their history

It is suggestive that Ribadu and El-Rufai are being set up because they ruthlessly set trends in stepping on toes based on superior moral principles that run in their bloods. Ribadu arrested and charged almost any foool that stole and even said he was looking into IBB. El-Rufai demolished multi-million pound homes of the powerful that were built illegally in Abuja through bribes. So they do have vast powerful enemies.

Secondly, look at the regards they are given internationally after office

Let me tell you that when people steal money in Nigeria, they normally ferry it to Banks in the West or through Western Banks. Hence, most western governments are well aware of who has stolen and who has not, especially the big thieves.

I am yet to see a Nigerian thief (bar maybe the one appointment of Abdulsalami Abubakar back in 2000 when he was still on a high) being given recognition by giving them international posts (usually influenced by the West).

I am sure that if Ribadu was corrupt, he will not have ended up in Oxford studying and then moving to a firm in US earning $120K per year.

I am sure that if El-Rufai was corrupt, he will not have ended up in Harvard as a Fellow.

You think if OBJ stole £16bn lalala that is rampantly thrown around here on NL, he would be a UN envoy, invited to key world events and appointed as a director by the G8 to the Africa Progress Panel? You tell me ONE international position or regard that has been given to IBB?

Did you even see OBJ's name on the Halliburton list?

http://www.saharareporters.com/reports/exclusive/5800-how-halliburton-bribed-top-80-nigerians-report-shows-ibb-abacha-shonekan-abubakar-and-scores-of-eminent-nigerians-took-halliburton-bribes.html

I knew before it came out that he would not be on that list.

That is not to say that corruption did not take place under these people given international recognition, but to say they took part, I will question it.

You think Iyabo Obasanjo or Ibori will smell that kind of regard?

Thirdly, look at their will to face the press/public

Ribadu, Obasanjo and El-Rufai have BOLDLY over and over again, been in front of TV cameras to answer questions from INDEPENDENT, unmanipulative news agents.

How many times have you seen IBB, Ibori or Iyabo coming to answer questions to defend themselves? Or you think releasing statements is the same thing?

So this your lame comparison of Ribadu to Ibori that is charged even in the UK, is laughable. The indicative approach is not fail proof, but it makes more sense than the conjecture throwing jargons of Nigerians. OBJ stole £16bn my arse! He might have mismanaged it in my opinion.

@sagamite,
i am really in a very happy mode hence i take all insults with happiness.
please, if u have been following the politics of these wars on corruption, could u pls explain in simple terms why atiku is not in jail after he has been indicted by the most intelligent and didicated nigerian police man (ribadu) in 2007?
these same bold men in the name of ribadu and obasanjo told us boldly in 2007 that atiku was a criminal and ribadu proved that beyond every reasonable doubt so my question is this, why is atiku still a free man. i will be greatful for answer(s).
Politics / Re: Babangida Will Not Be President - Abiola Family by chidichris(m): 10:46am On May 16, 2010
why are we leaving the object for shadow?
obasanjo has refused us democracy. the abiolas are in no position to say who will or who will not rule nigeria after all their father was part of our present suffering as contributed by his criminalities.
it is rather unfortunate that most of us here are not even interested in our constitutional rights to vote and be voted for.
the abiolas and their supporters shld tell obasanjo to allow the amendments of the constitution that will allow the senate choose the inec chairman and institutionalize our inec. a well organised election will see nigerians choose their representatives instead of obasanjo handpicking practically everybody for every post and impose them on us.
as long as obasanjo remains the sole decission maker in nigeria, our coming here to argue these issues will remain useless.
like i said, the most undemocratic thing to do will be for the abiolas or the obasanjos to have the responsibilities of selecting and imposing rulers of their choice on us.
Politics / Re: 2011 Elections: Don't Contest For President, Obj Tells Ibb And Buhari - Latest by chidichris(m): 10:30am On May 16, 2010
OBJ has said it like it is anybody who dont like it can go hang himself.

The man has said it before that at his age he has fulfilled all he can fulfill and so he is not scared of death because Iyabo and her friends will always rally enough cows at his burial.

I agree with OBJ.

Gusau, Buhari, IBB, Atiku etc let them go and rest.

Anyone of El-Rufai, Donald Duke, Jonathan Goodluck, Fashola, Sulivan Chime, Soludo, Babangida Aliyu, Gen Martin Luthar Agwai, Adamu Mu'azu or anybody of the current generation will surely do it.

They will surely be better than the sum of IBB, Gusau, Buhari, Atiku. I have said this before. We are no longer fighting civil wars anymore. We need fresh ideas, ability to keep Nigeria one is no longer enough.

This is 2011 and not 1967.

@mikeansy,
it is u, ur father, mother and ur generation that will go and hang.
nigeria has a constitution that is bigger than obj. there are provissions as to who and who that can context elections in nigeria be it 2011 or 2050.
it is never a democartic move anywhere in the world for apes like obasanjo to select and impose his candidates on the population of over 150 million ppl.
obasanjo has been arround for tens of years and the country needs change. we need to move forward. it is not even important how great and wonderful he has been ruling nigeria all these while but the constitution makes provissions for change.
it is time nigerians chose their representatives.
the era of one man deciding the fate of over 150 million ppl is gone. if u don 't have brain of ur own others do.
if u are not bored we are. let this old fool go and enjoy his loot and let this country to be.
we all know about the mandelas, the clintons and the julius nyereres all great leaders yet they made ways for change. if obasanjo has turned to be a god to u, what happens when he is gone? maybe u will stop existing. he ruled the best way he could, it is gentle for him to allow others to contribute in their own manners and not controlling from the dark.
the key word here is change and that is the only constant thing in life and not obasanjo. obasanjo can never be constant.
whosoever will rule nigeria is supposed to be the choice of the majority and not obasanjo or anyother beast in the manner of human being.

if he comes arround, we will advise him to go back home and discuss the issues of his criminal wife.
Politics / Re: In Defence Of Ibori: The Maximum Force Is Uncalled For! by chidichris(m): 8:04am On May 16, 2010
IBORI should not run if he a sinless man, U talk about odili, ribadu,el-rufai,ibb,obj etc, ull do more than them if elected into power, coz people like u r easily bribed,

@emvick,
this where u get it all wrong.
iyabo obasanjo ran and later showed, true or false?
your ribadu and el rufai all ran out of nigeria until their godfather(obj) take over power again, true or false?
the idea of running in nigeria is a style through which negotiations are done via bluetooth.
are u aware that we have gone through all these in the past? during the 2007 elections, it was atiku and we were all shouting, kill him, kill him and as soon as the elections were over, atiku became the free man he was. the elections are arround again and pdp cabals must take over delta hence the chase for ibori. let us see what happens after the election especially if they get what they want by planting their own criminal.
did u watch the show of shame displayed in abia state where orji uzor kalu's candidate was kept in prison while the elections were on? kalu still got his hands over them and the man in prison won over the pdp projected candidate and nothing has happened in abia since then. the case i know will come on again as 2011 elections loom.
these are bunch of deciets. they are fighting nobody rather they are fixing their paths.
do not be decieved. bode george stole over N100b and is serving two years. why not give me N1b and sentence me to ten years? who said this is how corruption is fought? look at china, N10,000.00 of govt and u are hanged, pure war against corruption and they don'have untouchables.
in ur understanding of nigeria, name one politician that is not a criminal. i mean one.
can a blind man lead a blind man, if yes both of them surely will fall into a ditch and that is the exact situation in nigeria.
el rufai after running for several years is back to face the law. his godfather is in charge so wosrt come to worst, he will go in for 1 yr and the trouble will continue.
we are doomed.
Politics / Re: Nigeria And China Sign $23bn Deal For Three Refineries by chidichris(m): 7:44am On May 16, 2010
the same old stories.
obj signed the same type of deal both on power supply and refineries.
the truth of the matter is that this pdp led administration has proved that it has nothing to offer the ppl of nigeria.
sign $23b deal and take $20b.
why refineries when there is no steady power supply?
jonathan, jonathan, jonathan, how many times did i call u?
this is the long awaited opportunity, divide this shit and let every man go back home and manage what they have.
stop following the devil who have killed many who followed him in the past.
if u refuse to listen, we will soon be here to discuss ur end. the ogbulafors shld be in better position to explain what it means to work with the devil.
Sports / Re: Mikel Obi Vs Alex Song by chidichris(m): 7:16am On May 16, 2010
wow, gentlemen and ladies,
the season is over and we are about taking stock.
the so-called alexender song and mikel obi have been in a busy long season with the duo also in the african cup of nations.
in his words, our reporter who spoke to both players has this to say.
mikel so far won the community shield, the african cup of nations bronze, the epl as well as the fa cup while when we contacted song, he told us he was able to win the emirates cup.
both of them are in the world cup and we don't know who will carry the day. so far so good, mikel is on top while we wait on sa 2010 results.
with the results so far, it has been agreed that mikel is a better player compare to song and this is chidichris reporting from fifa headquaters.

Politics / Re: Obasanjo Wants To Rule Nigeria "Third Term" Through Jonathan by chidichris(m): 6:51am On May 16, 2010
@kobojunkie,
assuming obj has done much to the development of this country under the military as well as his two terms as an elected president to earn him the best president nigeria has ever seen, don't u think it is time this gentleman quit politics and give chance to the new generation to try.
the world has seen the likes of clinton, mandela and bush who were once the topic of the whole world. at the end of their tenure, they left giving chance to the new generation of politicians to come on board.
are in the believe that obasanjo is the god of nigeria? do u think without him, nothing will happen? do u think apart from obasanjo, no other person of nigerian blood has what it takes to lead this country? what happens if obasanjo eventually dies? maybe nigeria will sieze to exist?
it is very simple, as long as this man is alive, he wants to remain relevant just for the single reasons of covering his corrupt tracks.
can't u see all corruption cases that has obj's name in it will die a natural death.
even in our families, one gets to a level where an old man does not take part in certain decissions. obj is this old that he can seat back and act as an advicer but what do we have here, a decission maker whose intention is always to impose his old wills on the new generation of nigeria.
at this stage of his life, he is not expected to be at the forefront of this country.
look at other progressive countries of this world and see how they are moving and then compare it to the one man govt we have here.
jonathan and yar adua came with a purpose otherwise a party manifeto of which the death of yar adua shld have seen jonathan continue from where yar adua who was his boss stopped but what do we have here, bring back ribadu, forgive him all his sins and make him this and that. bring back el rufai and let him be our spokesman.
have u ever stopped to ask, why are all these obj boys coming back now?
obj definitely is using this light weight jonathan to achieve his aborted third term projects.
