I hear the crap that people are saying SELECTIVE JUSTICE,must you arrest all the thieves in this country before we begin to try them one after the other?Surely,YOU CAN NEVER BE EFFECTIVE IF YOU ARE NOT SELECTIVE,you can't be a jack of all trade and expect to be master of all, people of purpose don't run helter scelter. So whatever you call it,whether selective or massive, lets try the thieves. My heart bleeds for this country when we see wrong and fail to condemn it.Lets encourage the people that are arresting those that have stolen the future of this country.Stop hailing Ibori as if he is a hero.
@Aderupoko2,
the ball is in ur court.
remember we have no powers rather all powers are directed towards the arrest and persecution of ibori so let us see how far those efforts can go.
for those shouting for extradiction, iyabo obasanjo has been wanted in the usa over years in relation to a kidnap case so extradiction is also applicable.
do not forget that this whole nonsense have been taking place since 1999 and nobody cares how far we have gone with this.
change gthey say is the only constant thing in life.
the funds they claim to have recovered from abacha's family is enough to give nigeria steady power supply so why are we still in darkness?
we are been decieved by those who claim to be fighting corruption.
why are u paying our foriegn debts when we have no power supply?
why pretending when u know everything is not okay.

ancellotti and his boys finally break the club's history by doing double this season( epl and fa cup)
this was confirmed by didier drogba's free kick this evening.
to my chelsea brothers and sisters, i say, congrats.
on the other hand, mikel has added another feather to his cap by winning the epl and fa cup this season.
the sky is blue, epl trophy is blue and fa cup is blue hence i say, BLUE IS THE COLOUR.

Nigeria is a country between the devil of corruption and the deep blue sea of hypocrisy.
We have the corrupt rulers and their beneficiaries and the masses of hypocrites who are even worse, they are the whited sepulchers.

Among those casting stones at James Ibori on this topic are cheats, hypocrites and parasites.

You are not better than James Ibori if you are among those who have also stolen by over invoicing, doctoring documents, exploiting their poor employees and engaged in numerous vices.

A thief is a thief, whether you stole N1 or N1 billion.
99.99 % of the adults in Nigeria are corrupt.

The gambit President of Nigeria, Mr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is doing his best to sweep the EFCC case of money laundering against his wife Mrs. Patience Jonathan and those of his sponsors in the monstrous and notorious ruling People’s Democratic Party, the most corrupt political party in the history of Nigeria.
@Orikinla,
i am happy that at least some nigerians can reason with their brains. it is really unfortunate that most ppl hear are not informed hence they go with the crowd.
last time it was alams and that became a topic for the whole nigeria. later it was orji uzor kalu's mother and everybody was shouting, then it came to kalu wow now it is ibori, it is looking as if heavens will fall.
the same atiku we were told was a criminal today is in pdp and he has seized to be a thief.
how stupid is nigeria and nigerians.
gov deriaye of platue state was arrested by ribadu and he told us that he invested the state's funds in third term agenda and that was the end till today.
marwa was under investigation of efcc until he dropped his presidential ambition and become a free man as well as an ambassadore.
odili was to face ribadu before he accepted to drop his presidential ambition.
who is fooling who?
among those calling for ibori's head, let us pray that all those in govt that have in one way or the other stolen from the public fund die unfortunate death. let someone say amen.
pdp is the worst thing that has happened to nigeria. ribadu thought us that the best way to behave is to run away whenever u are invited by efcc and come back whenever the coast is clear.
jonathan is nothing but a script interpreter and has nothing of his own to offer.
he is athe greatest fool of our time for bringing ribadu back to nigeria after running away from justice.
the act of revoking all the democratic settings of yar adua makes me suspect this govt.
obj has been longing to take back the power because yar adua left powers in the hands of the constitution and the judiciary regained her constitutional rights unlike under ribadu obj madness where powers and constitution belongs to the duo.
it is believe in political science that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
what ribadu and his boss had were absolute powers and they were absolutely corrupt.
today,. jonathan and his god(obj) are weighing absolute powers and absolute corruption will definitely be their case.
a man whose wife is facing corruption charges shld start from his house in the cleaning.
PoliticsRe: Igbo Extraction And Leadership Problem by chidichris(m): 9:20am On May 15, 2010
@poster,
u are very correct and i must add here that the inability of the igbos to rule nigeria accounts for why nigeria today is among the greatest countries of the world developmentwise.
the high level of civilization and developments in this country maybe because the igbos are not in power.
those wonderful ppl who have been in charge of nigeria are too wonderful to be compared to anyone else.
what i still can't reason to is why the igbos cannot be allowed to be on their own.
we can't afford to live together with animals. ur tribe will either be represented by obasanjo or ibb. i am restricted to my opinion because i can't say exactly where ur dumb ass is from.
PoliticsRe: In Defence Of Ibori: The Maximum Force Is Uncalled For! by chidichris(m): 8:42am On May 15, 2010
My heart bleed for you poster - IN DEFENCE OF WHO?
@xammy,
ibori did not serve the federal govt of nigeria rather he served delta state govt. my worries here lie on the fact that the pdp led federal govt is making this case a federal one while there are millions of unresolved federal cases eg harlibutton, tony annenih and federal roads contracts, obj and the power probes, ogbulafor and federal govt, atiku and the fg, ibb and the fg, ribadu and the fg, el rufai and the fg and host of other unresolved cases at the federal level.
again, most of us here calling for the head of ibori are not from delta and they have their own state govs walking tall and innocent just because they are loyal to the power that be.
this type of war on corruption(selective justice) has been in play for the pasy 11 yrs and u will agree with me that it is only yielding little or nothing hence the urgent need for change.
ok, assuming they arrest ibori tomorrow, what do u think will happen to him? alams had a 2 or 3 yrs there and come out very rich and more influential. bode george stole over 100billion and is serving 2 yrs. soon he will be out and you call this war on corruption?
99.999% of nigerians will prefer having 1 billion and remain 10 yrs in prison.
we have to be reasonable.
the war is just a political arrangement to silence oponents and look at the nigeria of today, it is slowly becoming a one party system and one man has taken over the control of everyother person, systems and even our constitution.

the gap between u and him is like from here to australia.

Ebere Goodluck Jonathan versus James Onanefe Ibori equals niger delta vs niger delta. It's only a niger deltan that can catch a niger deltan cos they both know wots up and where they are coming from.
@hameet,
nice one just that u forgot to tell goodluck jonathan to thread with caution.
i cld see beyond a president and a nobody.
jonathan has outstanding problems with the militants but chose to overlook that for ibori.
it is obvious jonathan is acting out a script but the end will tell.

SportsTogo's African Cup Ban Is Lifted by chidichris(op): 1:06pm On May 14, 2010
Togo will compete in the next African Cup of Nations in 2012 after having their ban lifted with immediate effect.

The decision to reinstate Togo was confirmed, as expected, by the Confederation of African Football (Caf) executive at a meeting in Cairo, Egypt.

Caf banned Togo after the Hawks pulled out of the 2010 Nations Cup in Angola following a deadly attack on their bus.

Caf were furious that the decision to leave the tournament was taken not by the team but their government in Lome.

The Togolese were then suspended and excluded from the next two Nations Cup tournaments in 2012 and 2014.

But Togo appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, with Fifa president Sepp Blatter subsequently stepping in to mediate.

A statement on the Caf website read: "Following the lifting of the sanction, Togo is now reintegrated in the preliminaries of the African Cup of Nations 2012."

Caf has yet to release details of how they will draft into Togo into the 2012 Nations Cup qualifiers.
i still would not want this to end here rather togo shld go ahead and seek compensation from both caf and angola.
it is absolute madness that u invite a team to a tournament, hijack them, attack them, kill them and at the same time ban them.
it is unheard of in the history of man.
africa will not stop making themselves objects of mockery.
PoliticsRe: In Defence Of Ibori: The Maximum Force Is Uncalled For! by chidichris(m): 12:58pm On May 14, 2010
@sagamite,
i will suggest u stop wasting ur time on ibori and start thinking of why nigeria is still in darkness, our roads in poor conditions, our secuirty has no meaning, our educational systems, electorial systems and generally nothing is working in nigeria under this pdp led govt of 11 years.
if delta is not working, ibori is responsible but if nigeria is not working, who is responsible?
the question of who is responsible for nigeria not working shld be more important to nigerians than delta not working.
it is not how many times u post on this topic that matters, but what are the relevance of ur posts?
nigeria is far more important to each and every one of us but it is embarrassing why we all over look nigeria for abia state and delta.
how silly is it for us to always behave the way our destroyers want us to behave.
in thailand today, the people are revolting against bad governance but in nigeria, we celebrate bad governance.
gj is in line to waste another four years and it is surprising that the most important achievement in this four years will be the arrest of ibori. another four years will be used to arrest orji uzor kalu.
what are we celebrating as a ppl?
how is this govt(pdp) helping this country in the past 11 years? is this the type of progress we have been praying for?
i feel the shame of being part of this group called nigerians.

wether he play for nigeria in sa or not, mikel is made for life.
somewhere else, world class players like zanetti of inter was left out so if nairalanders will drop mikel, he is still mikel.
if mikel not going to sa with the eagles will bring home the cup, let it be so.
but check him out on his champions jersey.

SportsRe: Adebayor To Partner Fashola On Academy by chidichris(m): 11:26am On May 14, 2010
Uhm, well it's a good thing, but how many does he have or help in Togo?
@honeric01,
analyse this brother.
u wrote; BUT - HOW MANY DOES HE HAVE OR HELP IN TOGO?
the truth of the matter is that u can be a saddist without knowing it.
the most outstanding character of a saddist is that he can never find anything good in other people. what u wrote above is a product of condemination.
if i may ask, have u ever found a togolese complaining about adebayor not helping others?
why must u bring in the question when the topic is a joint move by fashola and adebayor to have an academy here in nigeria.
when patrick viera built a football academy in senegal,m did ppl turn back to ask how many he had in france or how many ppl he has helped in france b4 coming to build the academy.
zidane has something like that in algeria and no one questions that so why are u raising such question at this point?
what have u done to nigeria and nigerians?

PoliticsRe: In Defence Of Ibori: The Maximum Force Is Uncalled For! by chidichris(m): 9:02am On May 14, 2010
the knowledge in display here represents the real situation in our society today and that accounts for why nothing is moving forward in a country based on deciets.
what did hilary clinton tell the federal govt when she visited? no one is interested.
what did cnn say on their documentary on niger delta? no one is interested.
what is stopping nigeria from having a stead power supply even with all wealths? no one is interested.
what other things are the federal govt doing well apart from the chase for ibori? no one is interested.
african china made a song to show us how these politicians are behaving and he said, poor man wey steal maggi they go show am for crime fighters while these politicians that steal big funds ,
how much did ibori steal compared to what tony annenih stole and is now the chairman of nigerian ports authorities(npa)
how much did ibori steal compared to the amount obj gave out for power supply? why is the power probe committe not making much noise on their findings and why is nobody interested in the finidings of that committee?
why all of a sudden ibori is now the problem of nigeria?
the major problem of nairaland and nairalanders is lack of information. many here will wait to see where others are going and they will follow suit. ask them a question and they will result to insults because they have nothing to offer.
odili has been arround and nothing is happening. out of 36 govs+ only ibori is taking all these attention so what about the other 35+? this is a shame?
if this war is of genuine reasons, ibori will be arrested by an ordinary dpo. we will not laugh if at the end of the day, this pdp criminals tell us how much that has been spent on the chase for ibori.
on this same forum, we all discussed in the same manner, the cases of orji uzor kalu's mother, orji uzor kalu, atiku, iyabo obasanjo, mrs. etteh and a whole lot of them. where are they today? and what happened to them? the answer is nothing.
if nigeria is looking for who to fight in the war against corruption, the harlibuton scandal is there, power probe is there, police funds, roads reconstruction cases are there, we have the ibbs, obasanjos and a whole lot of other federal criminals.
if i were ibori, going to dubai will not in my agenda. i will be in my area to fight back. after all, atiku did not travel, orji uzor kalu did not travel and his mother did not travel. they all stood their grounds and see off these intruders.
PoliticsRe: Ibori In Defiant Mood As He Is Released On Bail! by chidichris(m): 8:38am On May 14, 2010
i wonder what goodluck jonathan has to nigeria and nigerians in his fortunate tenure.
i wonder why ibori has turned out to be a national problem instead of delta problem.
this jonathan of a thing acting out the script of his father(obj) shld concentrate of solving immediate nigerian problems rather than boring the masses with ibori.
is it possible that among those politicians calling for ibori's head, there is any innocent among them?
the truth is that they are now using ibori to divert the attention of the ppl.
why can't this jonathan work on the programmes of his dead boss find a lasting solution to the militants in his home land.
it is mad how we all get decieved always.
sometime ago, it was the mother of orji uzor kalu and we were all here shouting at the top of our voices and all of a sudden no one of us asked how far with the woman. again, it was orji uzor kalu and we all shouted, crucify him, crucify him and later on as usual no more news. it cam up to atiku, wow, the highest criminal nigeria has ever seen but at the end of the election in 2007, no one cared again. harliburton, power probes, lagos benin express ways contract awards to tony annenih and today it is ibori. how many of these cases have been handled and ended well?
are we not just like ballons in the sea moved by the directions of the wind? these same criminal minded ppl using our minds at will.
compare to the real situation in nigeria, compare to what is happening at the federal level, ibori is a saint.
i am from imo state, my former gov has been made a minister while ibori who was there with him is facing the fg so what difference does it make probing all the govs since we all know they all steal?
selective justice is more destroying than the corruption itself.
PoliticsRe: Ibori Arrested In Dubai by chidichris(m): 8:22am On May 14, 2010
I hate what is happening in Nigeria today? How much did Ibori steal, compared to what IBB, OBJ, Lucky, Andy Uba, etc stole, that will warrant this? I abhor corruption, but selective justice will never go unpunished, by GOD. Let there be a blanket corruption war in Nigeria. These thieves are just too much in Nigeria.

Anyway, there is no point jubilating. JAMES IBORI IS OUT ON BAIL IN DUBAI. He is a free man again!.

That is the latest!
@our-turn,
don't join issues with them. all u need is join them in their unnecessary celebrations.
why is no one asking what happened to all the federal contracts awarded under obasanjo's administration?
ibori looks like the problem of nigeria.
if ibori was arrested in dubai, i wonder why ribadu and el rufai were not arrested in the same manner when they ran away.
all the same, nothing i mean nothing will happen it ibori as the noise is all about the next elections come 2011.
atiku had the same problems during and before the 2007 and was made a free man immediately the elections were over.
pdp is out to destroy anyone that stands on their while uninformed fans celebrate unknown victory.

PoliticsRe: Ojukwu Backs Babangida For 2011 Polls by chidichris(m): 7:09am On May 08, 2010
the half baked yorubas on this forum must be the under bridge yorubas.
obasanjo have never won any elections in the yorubaland.
tinubu has refused obasanjo to be a factor in lagos state.
obasanjo killed bola ige and i will say it till next year, obasanjo is just another madman let loose by circumstances.
if ibb is as corrupt as the so-called abiolas and yorubas are saying, why did obasanjo(another yorubaman) not probe him?
the death of abiola was appeases with the selection of obasanjo hence the power thirsty fools went back to sleep.
obasanjo
bode george
borrishade
kayode
late adedibu
mrs.etteh
iyabo obasanjo
late abiola
etc
these names above represents the yoruba political ambassadores while u can also address them as the great criminals in the country.
look at nigeria and see how it is in the last 11 years of yoruba/obasanjo madness.
how many billions were spent on power, roads, security, education and all that. which aspect of our economy is presently reflecting the amount of money spent on them?
like i said, with the type of injections given to soldiers, 99% of them go mad at old age and i tell u obasanjo is not an exception.
it is possible that this country is under the leadership of a potential madman in the name of obasanjo.

@topic,
the only way not to be tribalistic with a yorubaman is to always vote them in. let us out of fear, vote them first term, second term and then third term.
it is possible that these ppl have refused to see the kind of mess that dog has put this country through.
a man who sleeps with his daughter inlaw is not qualified to be the head of a family talkless of nigeria.
the dead ones like adedibu and abiola were so useless that they became more useful as dead ppl.
their white hair criminals prefers to enjoy their old age in jails as we see in the shameless bode george.
at what age is obasanjo planing to retire like other normal past presidents of other countries?
he was in the millitary and from the little i know about old soldiers, they grow in madness as they grow old. there is no way i will believe obasanjo is not mad at his age because i have seen other old soldiers.
who made the abiolas our spokes ppl?

can anyone in this forum remind me of any crime ibb committed that obasanjo did not commit double.
i do not know about others but i also plan to vote for ibb as long as obasanjo is in charge.
all i want for nigeria is an independent man. a man that will not depend on obasanjo to win and rule nigeria.
as for the igbos, i think the devil we know (hausas) are still better than these angels (, ) we still cannot predict.
for those of u shouting tribalism here, the political history of nigeria from time has it that the yorubas are very very tribalistic that they are used to one party.
it is only an igboman that has refused to depend on herself and has been working for a one nigeria that can never be.
it is only the desperate and inordinate ambitions of obasanjo to rule that divided the political history of the yorubas.
like i said, as long as these other candidates are going to be obasanjo shoe lickers, i will reserve my vote for ibb so those who are not comfortable with this can go to hell.

2. he gave the constitution more powers than the godfathers and the cabals
3. he slowed down the looting madness that characterised the past administration hence he offended chronic looters
4. he wanted to institutionalize efcc and the likes instead of the personalization on which it was built on.
5. he was more democartic than the pdp

these and a few other crimes were the faults of yar adua which pdp and their criminal leaders could not cope with.

at least, he has created over 10,000 ghost jobs that is on sale as we talk now, these ghost jobs are available for purchase at various banks in the state at N2,000 per piece and over 100,000 job opportunities have been sold.
pls be reminded that the N2000 of a thing is non refundable and victims are mostly graduates in the streets and villages of the state.
i hope with these few points of mine, i have been able to convience everyone here that my able state has succeeded in producing the worst gov of our time.
