Good luck to them......let's see how S-Easterners play opposition politics.
south east has always been in the opposition. It is only in the return of democracy in 1999 that south east became part of the ruling party. We are used to being opposition.

South Easterners dont speak with the two sides of their mouth. We know what we want & we always go for it. Even if we fail, we know how to begin afresh without stress.

We know how to kll fish, roast fish & east fish. We are not babies that wait to fed by their “leaders.“

So proud to be a SOUTH EASTERNER though not a member of PDP... But strong & SERIOUS suppoter of my HERO... Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (Ph.D) GCFR.

what other choice is open to them?? They couldn't grow either of APGA or PPA, wouldn't be caught dead in the company of the "amala eating set/supporter of APC crowd"and are the only ones left in the almost capsized PDP.
was South west able to grow AD? Were they able to grow AC? What of ACN, did they grow it...? The answer is NO!

Was the north able to grow ANPP? What of CPC, did they grow it? the answer is another NO!

Or do u think APC is a product of a grown political party? Not so sir. APC is a product of 3 parties coming together to become one. That is not growth, it is synergy.

Which people formed PDP? am sure you dont know how PDP came into existence. Or do you think PDP is a northern party? No sir it is not.

The reason why OBJ was manipulated into being the president over Ekwueme in 1999 was to apease the yorubas over what happend in 1992 & the death of Abiola that followed after.

So please dont even go that side you are going into.

Check well since 1999 till 2015 Igbos have been very visible in PDP government.

This is an opportunity for the southeast to own pdp. If done right, Southeast will be the new PDP primary region.
well it all depends on what happens on saturday in the north. If PDP governors regain their states & win more states, it means PDP will maintain with their structures but if APC wins northern states then it means SE/SS will systematically restructure PDP. Then own it. Because for now PDP is the only party that has strong grassroot unless things turn the other way on saturday. Because it is saturday‘s election that will really show the true strenght of APC & PDP especially in the north. If you judge with the presidential election you will get decieved.

But all the same, an Oba is an Oba, treat him like one even if he doesn't deserve it.

There is nothing wrong if he goes to the NHRC just to clear his name...

Politics › Re: Nuhu Ribadu Dumped 2 Days To Poll by Chigold101(m): 10:03am On Apr 09, 2015
bettercreature:
Nuhu Ribadu’s chances of winning the Adamawa governorship election was left in tatters today, following the desertion of his Peoples Democratic Party by party bigwigs to the All Progressives Congress.

Leading the defectors was former Deputy Senate Majority Leader, Jonathan Zwingina. Othes were a former Minister of External Affairs, Idi Hong, and two serving Senators, Bello Tukur and Ahmed Barata, as well as Sadiq Haske.

They announced their defection at a press conference in Yola today.

Zwingina, who spoke on behalf of the defectors, said they decided to pitch their tent with the APC to support the party’s governorship candidate, Bindow Jibrilla.

“We are positive of the change going on now in the country; we believe in the candidacy of Bindow,” he said.

Zwingina and Hong lost in their bid to represent Adamawa Central and Southern district in the National Assembly elections held on March 28.

Earlier in the day they met with the president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, who was in Yola to campaign for the APC.http://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2015/04/09/nuhu-ribadu-dumped-2-days-to-polls/

Wot abt high costs of productn expecially due to lact of electrity and also 'crazy' taxes nd levies meant to cripple entrepreneurz.
If u cn survive in Nigeria, u cn survive anywere else in d world.
well i dont know how many countries you v lived in & how many you have started a business in. However, from experience not minding the challenge of electricity depending on what you are going into, Nigeria is still the easiest country to start up a business or SME.

The major problem facing Nigeria small business owners is how to manage finance, PERIOD.

Because it easier to run a business here without being heavily taxed or u even paying tax at all. Many people tend to spend money & prove themselves to be “big“ girls or boys. They end up eating part of their start up capital.

As bad as Nigeria is, it is still better than any other country I have been to.
No country in Europe & Africa can compeet with Nigeria in SMEs. Nigerians are so so enterprising & if we can get some little financial management brain, we will go places.

Listen to the audion of the response of the Igbo leaders to Oba and you will know that sounds like friends joking around . This is after Obas comments, obvious this is some sort if swearing between leaders who had a pact
well APC big wigs thinks differently even the whole world know that what the Oba said is not a joke at all except Joke Silva & Pat Utomi.

You could have just answered the questions without adding 'owing rent' part.. How come leaving our lands is the last option for u even when provoked ? The answer is obvious, isnt it? Yorubas relocate more to places like Abeokuta and Ibadan than Ibos do to the east, whyhuh Admit it; You need us and as such should respect your hosts.
I have no problem with people hustling anywhere but i had to reply that guy cos saying a particular state is a no man's land is a grave insult to any Oba in Yoruba land. Things may change but as it stands, Ibos have more to lose if everyone is asked to return to their regions. Its not rocket science, is it ? * I have an Ibo babe and wont want u peeps to return though..Love you all!
well I added "the rent thing" so that you see it is not only Igbo interest Igbos pursue where ever they live.

Igbos live everywhere in the world not only in Lagos.
Yes Igbos have more to lose if Nigeria decides to divide. Now if yorubas live only in yoruba land and hausas live only in hausa land and Igbos live in all these places, that will tell you that it is only the Igbos that believe and promote "one Nigeria." Also it will also make you to understand why they want to be part of the process that will produce who will be their governor or Assembly men.

My point is that they are getting their priorities wrong. If they can mobilise this sort of mass action against the SE governors and force them to deliver on their promises, and with the gift of an average Igbo man to create wealth out of thin air, the SE would have been a Dubai of sorts in Nigeria today.
sir you are wrong. Their priorities in this case is set in the right direction. These men and women are people that spend at least 300days of lives in LAGOS. They make their money & buy properties with what they made from Lagos. If they dont vote right and someone goes in their nd make policies that will effect their daily endevour badly... Humn!

They should vote in someone that will consider them a major contributor to lagos economy not someone who wish they are all sent parking without any property.

As for making SE Dubai. This sounds very funny sha.

To your first question- NO! We dont prefer anybody‘s land more than our own. We travel all over the world & make our wealth then take it back to our land to build mantions, and develop our land more and better.

We make our millions in ur land because Igbos see gold where your people dust. When we look at garbage, we take it & turn it into beautiful things that is just our simple secret.

I have more than 5 relative in your land & if my people gets angry and leave your land, landlords in your will all go banckrupt because only my people can pay house rent your people always owe house rent. You see that is just that.

These men & women live & dine in Lagos. Most Igbos in Lagos are more Lagosians than their state of origin.
