I bought the land half plot at 4m ajah 2018 and fence it round with gate with about 700k dec 2018 and keep hustling .

Out of the 10m I did foundation , you know Lagos is water land so the foundation takes like 2.5m with Germany floor all solid materials bought myself and setting of blocks don't take much till linted and finally decking , that consume like 4m because, plumber , electrician, carpenter, and welder will work .

That's one of the stage that takes much money cus I bought only iron like 1.5m .

After that stage you will set blocks base on your plans mine is 4bedroom , 2 palours , 4bedrooms , kitchen, store, dinny and all duplex need .
After setting of blocks u will so another linted and if you like you can include paraphet that may cost u nothing less than 500k or more .

Since I used Gerald, carpenter will buy a lot of wood and it's must be hard wood cus gelrad is heavy and base on the square meter , mine is around 283 , all I spend for roofing was around 3m . So I spent like 11.5m to 12m to roofing , what I spent not someone's project .

It seems you know a lot about the oil industry. Please permit my ignorance, i am an accounting student currently in 300level with a good CGPA and I have this desire to one day work in an oil company and even intern but the issue is I do not know how to go about the interning aspect.

Before the advent of the ASUU strike we have been told by my school management that the Accounting student currently,which is my set would undergo an internship program and as such we should start looking for a company to intern.any advice from you would go a long way

PS i school in Bayero university Kano located in Kano, Northern Nigeria. Part of the internship condition is that we are only limited to companies located in Kano as anything outside Kano,the student would be the ones to bear the full cost including supervisors transport and logistics of which I can bear the finance tussle.so I had no choice than to look here in Kano. And I doubt if any oil company both oil servicing company is located here in Kano.but nonetheless your guidiance is all I need.

There is no limit to who can work in the Oil industry. The career field is very open & many accountants work here, one of the big supervisors in Chevron is an accountant but he works in warehousing & logistics department. In my own place of work, I have an accountant friend too, who is a well trained fluid auditor & has never worked in accounting. Many of them in other companies, some work as accountant, as auditors, others in other departments. The main thing is to show your ability to be trained, get some certifications if you can, get the job or use the connections you have.

For your internship, I'll advice you to focus on Kano there since that's your school requirement. I don't think there is any Oil servicing company in Kano there, I know NNPC might have one subsidiary there or depot, but you have to find out yourself.

My brother let me advice you. I know students build themselves with big dreams, but here's the reality in Nigerian Oil industry;
If you want your purpose of internship is to build your skills as a driller, geologist, mud engineer etc, and probably get big jobs in the future in big IOC's, then listen carefully.
1. Focus more on Oil servicing companies, forget Total and Exxon for now. Concentrate on working for drilling companies like Schlumberger, halliburton, Nest oil, Oilserv, Hamilton, Mi Swaco, etc. They are the companies doing these jobs from survey to drilling till the well produces. Not Total or Mobil which are the clients to the service companies.

2. Your question n0 2 shows you don't know how the field plays. For any Oil company to give you contract in Nigeria you must fulfil the local content requirements. Which requires operating a registered company or working under a registered company, not as an individual.

3. n0 3 question, they can employ any body and train you in any field of operation. Where I work, most mud engineers studied either chemical engineering, geology or petroleum. Even chemistry. Just get ready to be trained or get a certification.

4. For the last question, anyone is needed, your course doesn't matter that much, this is Nigeria, if u have connections, you can get job anywhere.
But professionally, Petroleum engineers has an edge over others because they can work in every aspect of the Oil industry. I mean every operational field from geology, as a driller, as mud engineer, as mud logger, in labs, refining etc. Chemical, mechanical and electrical engineers too have great chances.

Lastly, I don't know the Exxon Mobil you wanna work on, cos the present one is leaving Nigeria & has been bought by SEPLAT. All there contractors has been fired & they're concluding the takeover as I speak. You can try Shell, Total & others,...

Most of these big international Oil companies don't employ inexperienced engineers, unless it's a trainee program which is contract. There main staff are largely highly experienced people from oil servicing companies. Thank you

All bushes surrounding Portharcourt and whole of Rivers state from Eleka to Oyigbo to all Eleme forests, Nchia forests, Omok, Borokri, Abua, Ahoada, Ogoni, Onneh, everywhere u can think of around Portharcourt is dominated by bunkerers, they don't hide it in anyway, they boil the crude with firewood, bring out the diesel and kerosene and still boil the bitumen and sell. These ppl has gained so much ground that they supply to oil companies and even filling stations. 7out of every filling station in Portharcourt here sell these fake diesel and u can never get a good kero in Rivers state. In the area where I stay, only one filling station sell good kero, others will even tell u that it's kpo fire kero.
The worst is that the air has been badly damaged and dirty now in Rivers state here. In the morning hours, everywhere the dust, air, wind will be smelling like raw coaltar, it takes about 8hours into mid day for the thick black cloud of spots to clear a little and can never clear well till the end of the day. I've vowed to quickly leave this town as fast as possible. If u sneeze here, the stuff that comes out of it nose will be thick black, especially in d morning hours. If u paint your house, black soot will stain it in 4 weeks, if you spread clothes outside, when they're dried, black dusts will fill around it, if it rains, all the floods are black. And you'll always wake up to see cloud of black soots saturate the sky with no place to escape to, they're trapped already & can't disperse anymore. I heard even their governor empower & hail them, some are working for the politicians and chiefs here. Too bad.
Warri & Akwaibom has Oil as much as Portharcourt has, warri too has refinery & any gas plants, they do bunkering too but is still very much controlled. pH own is the worst in the world.

1. Go to pharmacy & buy a card of erythromycin antibacterial drugs,, also buy a card of doxycycline capsule, take the dosage 1 tab each for morning & night... It must disappear before the 3rd day. Trust me, this is how I treated mine twice. Forget about all those their prescriptions and mouth wash, they don't work. Do what I told u bro, You have chronic sinusitis, and only antibacterial drugs can eliminate it.

Bross, it has happened to me, the truth is you'll have to manage it. It will disappear. I will advice you to fill the anyone that has a visible hole, if anyone has hole and is shaking from d root, pls uproot that one. But if not shaky, just fill, and treat.
Try and use tumeric, ie. For treatment. Peel off the bak and place it on that part of teeth that is paining you every night if u wana sleep, sleep with it on ur mouth, then brush off in the morning using Agnes nwanma tooth powder or sensodyne rapid tooth paste. Try this, I promise the pain will disappear before 3days. Continue till about one week. Then keep using d tooth powder or paste. Pls don't uproot more than one teeth, or two to save ur face from collapse. This treatment is what I used. I uprooted the bad one, filled the down one and used turmeric on the others. Since 2011. The filling is still there, its cleaning though, and I'll refill it later this year. The pain only appeared once during lockdown, I used turmeric again, it stopped. This will cost you nothing.

Forget big water heater for now, look for cheap ones on Alibaba, buy sharp clippers and aprons
Don't go for big televisions, medium sized tv of 25 to 30k will be ok for now.
