Same happened to me. Interview July 2nd, received email for passport august 23, got it back two weeks later. Sending them an email bounces back on auto reply, so there is really nothing you can do for now.

This your 3 months wait is a lot tho. Mine was 7 weeks even tho it still felt like a lot anyways.


In my case, passport was never collected after interview. Also, no documents was asked.

Trump placed my previous graduate school in the technology alert list in his first tenure.

So in my case, I knew why, even tho they didn't tell me. So maybe this helped me calm down.

I understand if you don't even know why but it's still a better place to be than outright rejection.

Try and look at previous posts to check people that had the same issue. Though, alot of people
filled Abuja on the Ds 160 and late chose Lagos and there was no issue but try and confirm.

If you check this thread, you’ll see people that got their visa three days after applying. So that is not an issue

When did you get the email? Morning ? Did you also get an email when they transferred your application to the embassy?

If you have not been rejected an F1 within the last 6 Months (according to the embassy policy) then your emergency appointment as a first timer will be granted .

Don't rely on what you are hearing , everyone knows that the population of applicants going to Abuja are lesser than the Lagos Applicants, therefore , Abuja will grant your EA if you do the needful.

If you still have the emergency option in your CGI portal and you have not cancelled an appointment before , and you have a longer months ahead of your resumption, you may go ahead and cancel Lagos and pick Abuja.

1. Your SEVIS payment receipt with your I 20 are the two documents the embassy requires for emergency booking .

I want to think that the payer bought a US drawn check or coupon worth of $350 and send it via ORDINARY MAIL (USPS) to SEVIS office . He should have even used EXPRESS DELIVERY .

In the future , try to persuade the payer to use WESTERN UNION ONLY because western union payment is almost instantaneous .

Your SEVIS payment coupon should deliver next week Tuesday (just guessing ) and it can even take SEVIS another 2 to 3 days to input your payment in their record .

Call or email SEVIS by next week Thursday , they will tell you if your record has been filed . Did the payer not snap anything like payment slip or the coupon to you before he or she dispatch it ?

Hi everyone, can i get information on passport renewal? Has anyone recently collected their passport at the embassy in Berlin?
My partner was told to come to Berlin but it’s a ten hour journey and we want to make sure the journey wouldn’t be in vain. They say there’s no booklet but we should come on a Friday (meanwhile it was supposed to be sent to her, she paid for delivery and everything)
