How did you come about this your conclusion of no DIT masters applicant?

Have you read through the past 10 pages to check?

Do you know DIT applicants have a WhatsApp group of almost 30 members?

But as you did not read through, I wasn’t expecting you to know!

Happy Sunday!
why do Nigerians like complicating issues for themselves? My comment begged a simply answer of yes or no and not a sermon on reading previous posts. You probably didn't know about Nairaland when I joined and read posts back to back. All these post police sef! Happy Sunday to you too.

People residing in Abuja I just got information that someone was posted to the Abuja consulate for interview. All he did was to put his location as Abuja when booking.
Edit: He later said he booked under category A and and said yes he has scholarship even without scholarship, hoping to explain to the Vo on the day of his interview
hahaha, he is on his own!! It was written in RED on the website that without the requirements for category A which he obviously doesn't have, no entry for him..na for gate em interview go end.it beats me when people can't play by the rule.. really does.

Good morning Fam.
I had a Skype interview this morning for Global Change Ecology at University of Bayreuth.
My interviewer was a Prof, can't remember his name.

He asked questions from basic knowledge of ecology, Global warming, To environmental policies, Social and economic impacts of global change, What is biodiversity, Policies made by Nigerian government on global change. He also asked about atmospheric chemistry and its relation to ecosystem.

I observed that he uses statements /facts/words that I say from a previous question to frame the next question. So be prepared to further defend whatever you say.

Meanwhile, village people almost got me.
I didn't notice that part of the mail that said 11:00 CEST, My mind was on 11am Nigerian time.. Only for him to message me by 10am when I was still digesting facts. Had to quickly clear table and get set.

He said result of the interview will be communicated in a few days. But didn't state when admission letter will be issued. Although their website says July.
Dude abeg when did they send you the initial mail to send Skype ID and email details. Received a mail from them to send Skype details since may7. I did immediately and no update since then. I applied to msc biofabrication.

Smiles...Relax bro, not a problem atall. I had a similar issue then. What you do is to DISABLE the auto translator on your browser.
Reload the application page then select the 'English' icon on top. You should be fine. I think that's where you upload your bsc or so.

If your load no dey too much, you fit carry ecolac or any other luggage bag but if you wan carry enough items with you, i suggest you carry ghana must go grin

Me i no care.. Na ghana must go i go use grin
lol, remember most airline only take 2 piece 23kg plus hand luggage 10kg or so. Any other addition you go pay extra luggage and believe me the price no be here. But like you said u can put food stuffs inside one bag and the other for clothes if ur not the cloth type.
To me, any amount of foodstuff u carry will one-day run out, so it's better to get used to there food from day one. As na winter I de target God willing, I prefer to carry more clothes, winter jackets and shoes as against food items.

They don't weigh handbags. You can put Maggi and other ingredients in the bag.

Also, it's advisable to use ghana must go instead of ecolac.
Bros Ghana must go bag again? There are good travelling bags for market na, after spending 4.3mil for the whole package nobe 15k bag go kill person. Personally I won't like to be seen near any international airport with a Ghana must go..chukwu ekwena. When boys de roll luggage, the person will be struggling with bag wey fit tear any moment..lol. my thoughts tho.cheers.

I am greatly pleased to be on this thread and actually read from the very first page

Quite educative and brings back a flood of memories. We thank God for grace.

All questions asked and answers given (sliding tackles and all grin) are great learning curves for all.

My summary....

Landed October 3rd 2015.....Digital Communications in CAU Kiel. Took the first lecture and knew it wasn't for me. Told the profs so and opted out of the program (was still registered of course and was attending the german class provided by the school and intensive language class with VHS at the same time (register with VHS in your city within your first year to get a good rebate (up to 50% off) you can select a start date months away).

Switched to Information Engineering in FH Kiel the following summer (March 2016), did multiple jobs while studying (Printing presses, Cruise ships, Umzug, Chinese Restaurant. etc. cry cry cry Man hustle oooo....days of 12hrs straight jobs 4 times a week and top it with a 13hrs shift on Sundays embarassed
I was actually doing good in school but learning the language suffered as I couldn't fit it in the calamitous schedule I was running (I did attend intensive classes later though).

Then I got a rude awakening grin grin grin, I visited my naija university mate in Berlin working for Bombardier at the time and immediately knew I was wasting my time with the lager jobs I thought was giving me money. I needed to look at the bigger picture. Got back from Berlin and applied to Allianz Technology in Munich for internship, I got in and all of a sudden was making more working 9-5pm (own office with perks, fantastic international team and exposure into the professional world in Germany) than i was doing working 12hrs (4times a week) plus 13hrs on sundays. All, while doing professional work and improving my professional profile.

I was at Allianz Technology for 1yr & 3months (finished my master project and thesis) and got 2 full time offers before I was done with my master study in October of 2018.

My advice, do what you have to do to survive out here (legally of course). Make sure you pick the right course and if you find yourself in a jam with your choice course, be open to changing. Do not worry about hustling, it is not going to be at the top of your priorities when you actually settle and draw those priorities. Especially if you are looking at the bigger picture. Work will always be available, whether in your city or outside but believe me when I say you will be alright and find a way as everyone before you have done.

Learn the language grin grin

Before you leave Nigeria or wherever you are based, set your goals (minimum and maximum), have unbelievably high expectations but also psych yourself up for the very worst case scenario so that wherever you find yourself, you would be mentally grounded to face the music and sing out loud because darkness lasts just the night, light comes with the break of dawn.

God bless our dreams and make our strives abundantly fruitful...
this piece is lit!! You just reinvigorated me 100%. Thanks for that, cos what I've been hearing probably not lies, shook my legs.but this your story I claim. Shebi na Germany..we die here!

It's not enough.

He's right, one needs at least 1000 euros to use for expenses until they can be able to access their BA.

And you forgot that finding an apartment is a herculean task if you are heading to a big city. Before you can get your semester ticket, you have to pay for it and it's not cheap.
hmm, the way you guys mention this 1k euros sha. After hustling to fund BA of almost 3.7mil now, na God go help us o. Then there's the issue of flight money again. Ok oo. And hadampson keep up the good work bro.
