It's obvious you are delirious when I saw your epistle comparing MJ with Celine Dion and Westlife. Before his death, MJ had fans all over world and guess what there was no internet. My grand ma God bless her memory, knew MJ. She died at the age of 99. Ever seen anyone comparing Ronaldo, Maradona and Pele with MJ in terms of popularity, cos it's insane.

Even Tupac is more popular than Ronaldo.

I rate Ronaldo high. Hes good.
But unfortunately he no reach to lace MJ shoes..
Its the bitter truth.
CelebritiesRe: Between Michael Jackson And CR7 Who Is More Popular? by chimex38: 3:35pm On Sep 21, 2024
There is no human dead or alive in the past 19-20-centuries more popular than Michael Jackson..

Ronaldo isn't even close.
Even Queen Elizabeth or Pope John Paul II could beat CR7 in any list.

Without social media!!!

Can't even begin to debate this..

A newspaper even mentioned hypothetically that if MJ performs by a graveyard, he could raise someone from the Dead. grin
That's how musically powerful he is..

Lol.. I personally don't like the too much acquisitions..
Make ee no enter acquisitions paralysis...increased risk of huge loan default
(like GTB in Ghana).

But it's still a good sign that despite acquisitions since Diamond bank in 2021 they still consider shareholders and always try to increase their interim and overall dividend yearly at least, though at a snail increase in comparison to their peers.

Once a stock is listed .It can be traded.why I accepted that of japaul not being traded is the price at which it was bought and the current market price. Thr is no much incentive to sell now.If it is preferred shares. It will be stated and does not mean it can not be sold via arrangement and be seen as crossed deal too.My Street sense believe is not the 8B being sold.I thought the 8B was bought at about #2.00 or below .The bank and breweries new listed shares can be traded immediately once you have it in your cscs account.
OK.. Good to know the banks n breweries PP shares can be traded. Thank for enlightenment.

Well, u may be right. it wasn't directly stated as preferred shares, I only assumed so.

Is the private placement for japaul not now listed on nse.The people who took it up can now redistribute it if they wish.Thr is no law that says they cannot sell. And since they are not recognised management. The public disclosure is not mandatory .Os of 14B anyone can be selling at this time ...my opinion
Someone mentioned here that the private placements(PP) are non tradable.. I think it was The Rugged Prof.

Does it mean Bank shares for recapitalisation through PP will be tradable so quickly?
Or that of brewery sector?

I think they will be categorized as preferred shares not common shares of you and I.

And even if tradable, not this quickly.. I suppose there should be a time-frame contract to it before being traded...my thoughts

If PZ are selling their Nigerian subsidiary, then after post-sale, what does it benefit a foreign company with better Forex to still be listed on NGX and yet have no physical presence In Nigeria? lipsrsealed

Probably, they would still delist in the near future

But on the long-run after a sale of an entity, compensate shareholders handsomely in your next dividend after sale.
Or pay dividend twice.🤷

Tpharell:
Africa and the rest of the developing world cannot achieve the level of industrial revolution the west experienced in the 19th & 20th century without fossil fuels. The power requirements of a large scale car plant can hardly be generated by today’s available renewable energy sources. Haven’t heard of one powered by windmills or sunlight.

It is almost inexplicable that the same west that used petroleum and coal to catalyze its industrial revolution are now preaching climate change and green energy to those on the cusp of industrial development.

How can Nigeria generate enough power to boost it’s abysmal wattage and overcome it’s crippling power challenges, if not by a source even more revolutionary than fossil, a source like nuclear?
Even if there are solar powered.. They are either few or just prototype makes for large scale industrial companies. They aren't so much commercially available and even affordable for the developed world not to mention being easily integrated by companies in Africa without Govt support.

Nuclear is a sure way to go..
Even France (70% total energy-deoendence on nuclear)
test-ran a new nuclear power plant just last month-August.

But our high temperate region,
Maintainance issue, and a bit of unavoidable carelessness makes it a no-no for me in Nigeria.

We will need to be colonized by expert foreign firms for like 20yrs or more grin before being left alone in generating and maintaining a nuclear power plant..

Hiroshima and Nagasaki no be joke.. I hear say na dessert those 2 cities be up till now.

You can't compare Africa continent to other part of developed world where they have great alternative sources of energy. In Africa which remains a strong hold of dangote, we are still going to be relying on fossil fuel for atleast another 15-20 years which is a good PBP for dangrefinery.
Exactly my submission.
Na For countries wey get 24hrs/day, Average of 300/360 days of electricity per year. Not Africa yet. even at that, I think to power Manufacturing Equipments to meet their high capacity and efficiency, you just need fossil fuel--Coal, diesel, petrol, Gas, kero, etc.

Rnewables of Solar, Wind, biowaste are niche specific and tailored to particular equipments..not flexible for dynamic situations.

Will Fidson enter my calculated value zone, or will common sense prevail, bringing it down to N3.30? Well, let's allow Mr. Time to tell. By the way, MC stands for Monte Carlo, referring to my small simulation engine. grin grin shocked
In addition to your valued submissions, I think this is also what is fueling the price..
A proposed JV manufacturing Pharmaceutical plant with Chinese firms in the Lagos Free trade zone..

https://stocksng.com/fidson-signs-partnership-agreement-with-3-chinese-firms-to-tackle-hiv-in-africa/

They ve been trying to carry out heavy capital Investment that will begin yielding value to investors btwn 2-5yrs.
However, I don't also think it will get to 3.3 In the near term of 1yr+(ceteris paribus).

From OS, to critical needs, brand, consistent dividend and now almost the defacto leader in the industry on NGX with wide regional coverage with GSK exit, amongst others goodwills may keep it at +-30% within the year.

There will always be exceptions to every method.

But they are all welcomed and have been proven in some stocks.
Just my opinion.

Lol....@emmanuelewumi &
@BabsO2 yet again. grin

U guys remind me of Football fans with their affiliation for different clubs and their supposed healthy rivalry amongst them.

Somehow, likeness for some players cut across these club affiliations.
These players defend their clubs where necessary according to rules of the game with little-or-no-->
purposeful rough tackles, field insults n fights, media banters, mischievous attack, indirect comments and mind games. Yet still cheerfully relate with same opposition clubs/fans because in the end, it's just a game.. grin smiley

These players win the hearts of about 95% of many soccer fans across club-lines effortlessly despite such players being in opposition/rivalry clubs..
They have also proven to be good in their position of play as well.
-Ronaldo(Delima)
-Beckham
-Vanpersie
-Ronaldinho
-Markelele
-T. Henry
-Zidane
-Kante
-Pirlo
-etc
(there could be others)

Don't be surprised if the government refineries suddenly start functioning and producing PMS. It's all good sha
Kaduna n Warri are mulled to be privatized.. Their turn around maintenance hasn't even started yet.

PH-Refinery is the only tiny bit of hope in the short term (but for sabotage n politics) added to the proposed 100,000bpd refinery to be built by NNPCL just beside the PH-refinery in the Long term..

So I will definitely be surprised if they "suddenly" start functioning not to mention PMS production.
