Family / Re: Marriage Has Failed Me! by chinchum(m): 3:16pm On Apr 12, 2023
BrighterThanDay:

Thank you. On God, all I wrote is what transpired between I and my in laws, in fact I haven't even gone into details on the humiliation I faced. I also mentioned my fault in sending her a warning message when she insulted me and asked me to pack out of her brothers during the burial of my father in law. I shouldn't have done that considering we were all mourning, that I accept but I was pushed to the wall. I am working on a new job already. Thank you once more for the advice
your spouse need to show more effort in standing up for you. I see no reason he should blame you for the behaviour of his siblings. I do not have the full details of the "warning message" you had sent to the sister, however i can infer it was a reaction. Siblings who cant congratulate their brother for a new born are not genuine, i can understand if they don't call or visit to congratulate you as a person, but i will never understand such attitude to their brother.

It's a demonic spirit of wanting to control and manipulate others that has taken over your hubby's sister, that is why she shows an improved attitude when you lost your job and your spouse had to depend on her to meet family needs. I wont be surprised if people like that lady embarks on spiritual means to ensure you are not doing well as a family. The extent people go when they want to keep people in their control box is typically shocking. You dont live in the same compound from your narration and the extent of involvement in your husband life should be minimal( occasional welfare checks via call and rare visits). Getting too involved is not how to show love to a married sibling, it is a toxic control tactics.

Your husband need to realise his immediate family is yourself and daughter. When push comes to shove, the sister will prioritise her kid(s) to him. Show him my message.

Most marriages will survive other issues if the financial health of the home is good. Get a job fast. Stop regretting current or past relationships, work on your current relationship with your spouse and you will be fine.

I kept asking the same question, but got no answer I even asked lp adherents to mention at least 7 states in the North obi will get 25%, while still taking in to account he will not achieve 25 % in some south west states. Obi needed 24 states and there are 17 states in the South versus 19 states in the North

I predicted Obi will get 6.5 million votes 3 weeks to the election. I projected he would win Plateau and FCT, for Nasarawa, i knew it was a possibility and gave him the highest vote with other 2 contenders. I was proven right. If the election is conducted 10 times in 2023, he will lose. He did NOT have a national SPREAD A rerun with either Atiku or Tinubu will mean he suffer a heavier loss as his best performance can only happen when all the other strong contenders were on a ballot.

This election showed the hollowness of the so called educated youths in the South who do not understand the peculiarity of Nigerias geographical spread. I gave all of these projections not with a foot in Nigeria for some years now.

Obi got a lot of traction more weeks to the election due to money and fuel scarcity as his supporters were more likely to come out and vote inspite of the scarcity compared to APC and even PDP. Obis campaign was also layed heavily on a religious divide since CAN took a position.

The 8 years of Buhari have witnessed the biggest road infrastructure growth since 1979 3rd republic. If the next govt. Sustains and increase the tempo for the next 8 years Nigerias highways will be one of the best in sub saharan Africa.

The pressure on the highways will also reduce If the connecting railways across the nation are also completed. The good part is some of them like the Lagos -Ibadan and Abuja-Kad, Itakpe- Warri e.t.c are now completed.

I was trying to board a bus for my NYSC trip at Oyingbo and these fools dragged my bag and refused to hand it over trying to force me to join their preferred bus. It happened twice.

The yoruba agberos, i ask them for destination direction and they are willing to help.

You are wise..

Most Igbos I am sure never thought of the fact that Nigeria could have poisoned the foods and drinks going to biafra in a form of Chemical and Biological warfare that would have killed them all.. afterall all is fair in love and war.

They go about spreading lies that Nigerians hate them bla bla bla whereas they were the ones expecting their enemies to continue feeding them in an ongoing war.

Some are very helping e.g. Awolowo while some are known to despuse and kill other tribes like in the first coup
it is why i believe we must not allow logic turned on its head.

In 1967, less than 1% of ibos could have afforded to bank their money. In 1967, with over 90% illiteracy rate and poverty rate, pray tell how many banks were even in Nigeria in 1967? I don't want to believe this truth is not known. The 20 pounds policy a good will gesture to all adult ibos was criticised because all ibos lost their money in banks.

Biafra leader had a chance to surrender when access to food to feed his people were blocked and there was potential mass starvation, he fought on and later blame the death on Awolowo. It could have been a different twist if the food were poisoned. Awolowo prevented a war that could have lasted over a decade with the food blockage.

If i twist your hand backwards in a physical warfare and expect you to surrender in seconds and you in stubborness refuse to surrender for hours, you can't blame me if your hand needs to be amputated thereafter.

Omokri is right. Those of us who were old enough to witness military regimes would never wish the country should go back to that dark, draconian era.
it would be worse now. Military ruler will have to shut social media to be able to breath and rule , also civil protests would be met with violent resistance. I witnessed a bit of military behaviour in early and late 90s even though i am less than 4 decades old. I can not wish military rule on my enemy, even though i sometimes fantasise about Nigeria governed by a smart benevolent dictator, i quickly jolt my self to reality.

Legal "carelessness" by PDP. I think APC was 3rd and not 4th. AA was the biggest opposition. Pdp legal team had won against AA, and i believe it did not focus on the APC side.

APC team presented a voting result that was not challenged via the court process, the supreme court ratified it since it was unchallenged and the rest is history

Something is not adding up.
1.Someone came 3rd and he is seen as the major threat to the president elect.

2. Someone came third but while the party that took second was trying to prove that the election was rigged, they made mention of the fact that LP got over 900,000 votes in Lagos specifically, without mentioning there own case from their situation room.

3.Wike was know to have frustrated LP and ensured that APC won in the presidential election in his state, only for him to recently claim that " He knows that OBI won the election"and that he is not saying it to make anyone happy ,but let the court decide.

4.Only recently,ATIKU ordered his representative through Chidoka to work closely with LP.

5.Only recently RENO (of PDP) Obi's number 1 critic and attacker apologized to OBI for saying he rigged in Anambra state claiming that he has confirmed that Obi is loved in his state and subsequently went ahead to suggest how Obi could reclaim his mandate .

6.Though,PDP (2nd) and two other party took their case to the court ,it seems to be only OBi's case that is making wave ,Infact,it's only his petition that seems to be on the front burner .

7.There probably is something that both PDP, and others are seeing that most Nigerians have not seen.
Could it be that the situation room collated result and other empirical fact has suggested LP as the winner ?
To your number 2, it is a cunning strategy by PDP, they have noticed that LP has a very noisy /lousy minority but in control of the internet waves, they came up with a bogus number at the lagos presidential election that only a kid should believe. PDP is waiting to take advantage by the sideline. Even if LP had placed 4th in the election, it would have alleged it won, that is the nature of its mob followers with no far reaching spread.

Things you see, things you feel, and most importantly how the Yoruba’s stabbed the Igbos in the back. Kindly list them here for everyone to see and let’s introspect.

I will also list things I have seen, things that have opened my eyes pre and post election regarding you Igbos.

I’m waiting sir. Especially that “I told you part” what was that thing told about Yoruba’s that you have confirmed?? Let’s dissect pls. If it’s about voting Tinubu, well %97 of Igbos in Anambra voted Obi, each voted their own, that shouldn’t be an issue, you are the masters of the game when it comes to clannish and tribal issue, I’m surprised you are surprise embarassed

very clannish hypocrites. They are quick to accuse others of what they are the main culprits.

An Anambra ibo man believes an ebonyi ibo man is inferior and Wawa. Many times Anambra man do not even want to marry another ibo woman from a different state. They leave the log of wood in their eyes and start spotting speck in others.

Religious bigotry is all time high in ibo land. In Anambra, it was reported that catholic ibos sidelined Anglican ibos in Anambra civil service. Catholic priest from another ibo state or community is rejected vehemently. During Biafra war, it is documented how the minorities under biafra were treated badly. How can you be killing yourself in a quest for self determination? How can you be destroying your economy in quest for self determination?

I always pity them when they request for Biafra, it is like an 8 year old asking to be provided drive access to a 10 wheeler truck. Ibos are the most vested all over Nigeria states and wants to leave Nigeria on a NOT friendly note. No be juju be that

Don't infect him with your hatred, I was once like him, can you explain what happened on 18th of march in Lagos?
Stop running away from the truth because it's only thing that can revive this country

Igbos are not the cause of what happened on 18th of march 2023
i have not encouraged hatred at any point, i advocate self preservation and circumspection.

March 18 lagos election was a reaction. A reaction to the ibos boasting they will prove a needless point, they were reined in by Yorubas cautiously. There were over 13,000 polling units in Lagos, how many ibos were prevented from voting?. The press and the elites made a mountain of a mole hill. It was over reported. How many gun shots were fired to prevent ibos on election day? Yes, i agree some ibos were caned on election day for acting garrulously and boasting they were going to take over Lagos largely because it appealed to their typical vain glorying of dominating and sense of control. Also, that their preferred candidate is half ibo and a biafra apologist was a catalyser. That caning of very few ibos is a slap on the wrist, it should call for sober reflection.

The Lagos state Governor

was made butt of jokes predominantly by ibos days to election and the gentleman did all sort to appease lagos ibo electorates even doling out 100 million naira to market fire victims in Ajegunle, writing letter to people of Eti -Osa after the presidential election. Sanwo olu is a performing governor that did a lot of projects even a bit skewed to areas predominatly occupied by ibos e.g the blue light rail completed axis, the badagry express way, the connecting bridges along the festac axis to save travel time.
Can you try that stunt with a governor like Wike? The similar attempt to call rivers state ibo land and trying to enforce biafra sit at home in port harcourt was met with a BRUTAL crushing of unguided actors in Oyigbo with aid of army personnel by the order of Wike.

They made you believe Lagos governorship election was a disaster, however they rigged brazenly in SE states, the only state LP won last week was in Abia, this was almost rigged shamelessly by one LGA producing over 100 000 votes for PDP. Brutal political killings that rarely gets reported in SE, but to the unsuspecting you believe SW is the epicentre of political violence. I do love some outsanding Igbos like late Dora Akunyili who survived several assassination attempts from her kinsmen, and even Prof. Soludo who i believe will be outstanding compared to the failed project Obi they sold to unsuspecting Yorubas.

My name is Ayomide ,obviously a Yoruba man. I’m a Christian and I have no political affiliation. This should not be important to clarify but that’s the current state of the country nowadays. I’ve spent most of life in the southwest , so my opinion will be shaped only by what I’ve experienced in the southwest alone.

I’m utterly disgusted and disappointed with the current state of affairs in our country today. How did we get it so wrong ? We’ve decided to pick sides and fight each other based on affiliations that mean nothing in the greater scheme of things for politicians that look at us as statistics and not people.

I supported Peter Obi because I wanted a breathe of fresh air , because Tinubu is obviously too old and physically unfit to withstand the rigors of being president. I’m not sure he can steer us in the right path in this ever evolving world as befits a country as great as Nigeria. He obviously belongs to an older generation and he doesn’t seem to have the capabilities to “converse” ( for the lack of a befitting word )with other world leaders of the world. That is my personal opinion that I’m entitled to, my constitutional right. I did not vote Obi because I’m Igbo or because I’m a Christian.

But Tinubu has won.

I’ll say this to the Igbos that are justifiably angry and bitter and have been insulting Yorubas ( I know a lot of Igbo people that have not insulted anyone and they have my respect and thanks and such people is exempt from this) , They are bad , tribalistic people in all tribes. Painting us all with the same brush will only create enemies where they was previously none.

I’m Yoruba. And when you attack the Yoruba tribe as a whole , you attack me as well and my natural inclination is to pick a side. Let this narrative that all Yoruba hate all Igbo die and let us all move on from this. Old people fight is not young people fight. Why are we inheriting our grandfathers beef ? The people that did evil against the Igbos are long dead and facing their judgement. This generation is meant to be different. Let it be so and let us have one Nigeria instead of a divided one
Peace
The problem with people like you is that you feel you are suing for peace with like minded people, but reverse is the case. I used to reason similarly like you some years back in my early and mid 20s. Read history books and understand who you are dealing with. Nothing has changed. At first, i thought they may be suffering post war trauma, but check their actions pre biafran war. University of Ibadan anf University of Lagos first Vice chancellors were not ibos by just mere circumstance. Azikwe did not almost become western region premier by mere circumstance, western region did not split and have mid western region by mere circumstance. Ibos were not mass sacked from Northern region civil service by mere circumstance. Ask yourself why Lagos Ibos (overwhelming majority)vote one way in the local elections?

The general majority of ibos think differently than you assume they are. Ibos like to dominate and control others, even though they dont have the intelligence and also engage in vain glorying, so it is more brawn with little brain. Their hypocrisy stinks to high heavens and this applies to sizable majority of ibos and they accuse you of the same thing they are primarily guilty of I really feel sorry for Yorubas that were won over with propaganda and gaslightling by the obidient movement, i know it could have been me some15 years ago.

Remember this "you cant be liberal minded with someone who is not liberal minded; you will lose"

If i come to you asking you to lend me money and in my heart i believe you are a dunce if you lend me the money and i possibly don't plan to pay back, You have done no wrong wanting to provide me the loan. However, if you figure out my agenda and still proceed you deserve to be punished.

We had no reason sacking Gernot Rohr.. I was proven right when i stated after his sack that we wont be at world cup and achieve at best a quarter final showing at the African nations cup. Nigerians overrate their abilities and use less common sense. A typical Nigerian will sack a C performer to replace with E performer just to prove a needless point( we show this tendency in electing political leaders). I knew super eagles was not going to get a world class coach and Rohr was doing great to the best of his available resources( unpaid allowance, average quality of players, continuous pressure to test new players, poor logistics ahead a game e.t.c)

Talking technically, the super eagles does not play as a team yet and a lot of work is needed at the midfield. There is too much attrition in the team coupled with trial and error of any flash in the pan players.

We need to build a team that can be assured of 9 out of 11 starting line up day in day out. Without a team formed, we will have individual play to dazzle that will rarely provide result.
