I am happy Obi and Atiku are going to court, now we can expect the court to help decide who truly came second!

Dear God,

If Tinubu truly won this year's presidential election by people's mandate, may he be sworn in come May 29th, and may he finish his tenure successfully. But if he stole another person's mandate through the help of INEC, may he never sit on that presidential seat.

Please say a loud Amen!
Amen. You can not sit in Enugu or Awka and assume that 95% vote of Obi is automatic victory for Obi.

He performed consistently in at least 31 states, except for the 5 SE states. In states where he lost, his margin of loss were not significant losses. To an untrained or unaware mind, he lost since some people are angry. Ever heard of noisy minority? Tinubu won by simple majority votes even though almost 14 million votes were against him, about 9 million votes were for him
Politics / Re: God, If Tinubu Actually Won D Election May He Be Sworn In May -honest Prayers by chinchum(m): 7:18pm On Mar 03, 2023
Amen. He won without any iota of doubt by close to 2 million votes over his immediate challenger Atiku Abubakar

This election is the least rigged election ever with realistic number of voters. The numbers are usually inflated in the past. The online transmission that is causing so much noise of alleged rigging were never in the equation in the past years.

At the final analysis, his looks will not be the determinant of his output. I can bet he will perform. Youths all over the world want a president that is pleasing on the eyes. What is necessary is that his policy is pleasing to majority of Nigerians.

Politics / Re: Tinubu: Nigerians Wanted Lesser Of Three Evils But Got The Best - Seun Kuti by chinchum(m): 5:47pm On Mar 01, 2023
The problem with people who believe election was rigged is that they have conditioned the expected result to the performance of their immediate environment. Many voters in SE may think the election was rigged because all they saw around them on election day was people voting labour party and the party winning landslide. It could also happen to certain section of the state, a particular local govt residents begin to think in fallacy, election results in the whole state must mirror the performance of their LGA.

I believe there must be a name for this bias. Apart from Rivers state which i believe was significantly compromised, there is very little malpractices that would have altered in large measure the overall winner. The BIVAS worked to reduce large votes , especially in the North. The Incidence form was used to great effect prior to advent of BIVAS to perfect large scale rigging. The naira scarcity also helped to reduce vote buying, many will agree it was an own goal by the APC. This election would have been a higher margin win by APc due to vote buying.

Get off your bias, it was a largely free and fair election.

This election reflects Gods choice, it is obvious there was confusion in the camp of the enemies for Tinubu to emerge. Obi, Atiku and kwankwaso broke the PDP. Then G5 governors gave the simplest request by impressing on Atiku to let the Northern Chairman step down, but like biblical pharaoh he was stubborn. Their eyes only opened after votes counting and they started merging after the red sea had been crossed.
Politics / Re: INEC Declares Bola Ahmed Tinubu President Elect by chinchum(m): 4:26am On Mar 01, 2023
It is time to close ranks President elect.

My guts rarely fails, i predicted victory for you in a competitive election. I am also predicting resounding success particularly in the area of economic growth and prosperity to many Nigerians via a largely increased revenue base, cut on oil subsidy wastage and aggressive infrastructural development.

Many Nigerians underrate your abilities as a development centric politician and no politician ever have had so much aspersions casted on him/her. You easily forgive your enemies. You apply a lot of common sense , a rarity amongst politicians.

Your first 18 months will be your toughest battle as you begin to set the tone for a prosperous nation, but your biggest critics will turn around and acknowledge you thereafter.

For those wishing you death, i am asking God to make them live long to witness you in good health and positive transformation of the nation. Forgive those who wish you death.

In Lagos, Obi won in 8 lga vs Tinubu 12 lga . obi won the overall votes.

I agree that Rivers state result was compromised in favour of Apc by wike. That would not have changed the tide of the election though. Tinubu won the simple majority vote even if all Apc votes is given to labour party.

Wike did similar in 2015 and 2019 elections in favour of Pdp.

Pdp did not rely on result from social media, they know the truth and can tell they have lost the election, but still want to cause confusion with social media results. Pdp had agents in 99.9% of the polling units.

Nonsense. Obasanjo the sanctimonous man. The worst elections ever were in 2003 and 2007( Maurice Iwu comes to mind). Late Yaradua confirmed his election that brought him to government was a rigged election and he will embark on a reform. The worst human rights violation were during his reign( zaki, odi biam). The worst intertribal wars were during his reign( urhobo vs itsekiri) aguleri vs umuleri. Sagamu riot vs northerners, mushin riot vs northerners, kaduna riot, Kano riot e.t.c Most youngies dont know he is a divisive and self centred fellow who like situations that fans his ego.

At the 1999 presidential election, he lost his polling booth and Ogun state MASSIVELY. He was not a candidate yoruba wanted.

I think social media has elevated a lot of atrocities of politicians.

Shagari had 25% and above in only 12 out of 19 states in 1979 and was declared president. The 2/3rd rule was contensious in that election. The supreme court was the final arbiter. The judge in his final ruling stated "my hands are tied....."

Edited: 12 out of 19 states

While we Yoruba are supporting Obi and praying that if Obi will lose, then Tinubu can win, but you guys want another Fulani that they reject Obi totally in the north. Shebi you voted everywhere in Rivers. In Lagos, they were jubilating over early results in a few polling units, forgetting that Lagos is made up of 20LGs.
over 13000 polling units o. Because they won few polling units landslide within their stronghold, to them they have won😏 Critical reasoning is lacking with this people sha. Badagry for example has 2 local government, it used to be a Pdp stronghold, but apc made in road in the past year. They are not different from the riotous mob that went on a killing spree in 2011 because they felt Buhari won the election since he won on a landslide in North west.

What Nigeria needs so badly is someone who can exponentially increase its finances. Tinubu is guaranteed to do that. I am absolutely sure.

Nigeria has to implement smart ideas to generate income and execute sustainable projects. As long as we practice democracy , Nigerian politicians will always steal, don't deceive yourself with a belief otherwise. Those who can generate enough money faster than they steal is better, and use that money to get tangible projects done. Lagos is a model of such.

wonder233:
Nope, the race is between APC and PDP. With APC slightly having the advantage.
By failing to penetrate the core muslim north, LP has no identifiable path to victory.
This is a neutral realistic poll. By seeing the percentages I allocated to LP in its strongholds, you immediately jumped into conclusions. But if you can be open minded, you will see the larger picture predicts an APC victory
but allocating 0% to a ruling party in any of the 36 states automatically makes me question your understanding of Nigerian politics. There is no chance in hell that a ruling party at the centre will have 0% votes.

The bolded is so true

I once accommodated a new colleague, that was in 2017, after a month or so he got an accommodation and moved out. Do you know that today when ever I go to the city for some stuffs, because I have since relocated, I spend the night at his place.

it doesnt always apply. People who are sensible enough like your colleague to know when to leave are usually appreciative.

The moment you identify a leech, trust me, no matter what you do, they will rarely reciprocate.

How did i come to the conclusion the op friend is a leech. She works even though her friend does not work, however she contributes next to nothing or even nothing financially nor physically to the house. People with such emotional intelligence must not be accomodated in hope of a future benefit from them.
