Hello guru in the house, I need your help...am a graduate of geology with a CGPA of 2.89 (2:2)..i would love to apply for either MSC or Post Graduate Diploma in any of the German universities...

Below are my questions.

1. Can I get a direct masters or do a PGD?

2. My aunt in USA want to give stand as my sponsor... will they accept it as we do not shear same surname cos she is my mum elder sis.

3. What are the documents needed by me?

4. Is toefl needed

I would need other supporting advice.

Thanks very much for this answer. May God bless you. However, I just wanna learn German. I need to find out more about Goethe Institute. But I've started learning it via a mobile app and it has been awesome.

Nonetheless, I have some questions. If I wanna apply for SK, am I gonna open a block account too? As in like the normal university admission? I really need to know all these so as to start preparations immediately.

Hey Guys, Thumbs up for the great job you've been doing on this forum. I have gone through the part 1,2,3 although not all lipsrsealed but i couldnt really find a place stating exactly how long the visa processing takes after one has done the interview. Though the website says 6-8 weeks but I have seen different posts like the dude that got his after about 7 months and someone else 3 months I understand that factors such as late funding of db acct after the interview elongates the processing period a lot but lets assume the db account is ready and all documents are available as of the time of the interview, please my brainy bosses whats the average period one has to wait for. And those of you that have gotten yours can you shed more light on this please. Vielen Dank.

Someone just directed to this trend. and i intend and really want to be part of this. but truth be told, i really dnt knw where to strt, but i have done some minor research as regards to what i want.Here they are:i want to study in germany and i also found that one core requirements is the language proficiency cert. A friend told me of Goethe institute, here in the country and of studienkollege too. Please, i humbly ask for your candid help, so as to know what to do next. After about 2 weeks, I got another interview date without them mentioning about the cancelation of the first interview date. So I sent them a mail but they haven't reply me. So what should I do? One to inform the house about the outcome of my situation.That long awaited mail which any student would like to see in his /her mailed box just arrived in my mail box.I thank everbody for the support i received.It really worth for me to write this remonstration letter, exactly 29 days after the interview i received my visa.people try to discourage me not to write a remonstration letter because according to them my application cannot be reviewed.Thanks God i didnt listen to such advice.Please if there is way to appeal on your visa decision just go for it!!!!! Im very happy now thanks to this thread.Germany here i come......

sorry Mr Williamso, u stand to be corrected.the young man here isnt confusing any1.
Ulm is in the state of Badenwürtenburg and proberbly,the school he is talking abt is either Fachoschule or Hochschule.
All the schools in the state of badenwürtenburg doesn't use the service of Uni assist,rather all accessment of documents is being done by Studienkolleg Konstanz(from experience)
so the young man isn't wrong at all

Good day House, my visa interview is schedule for 27 July, bu , hav not tecei my blocked account number, is it okay to attend the interview with my blocked account confirmation slip.

Secondly, I sent my blocked account thru NIPOST, doe anyone else an idea how long I would take to get to deutchbank.

ok more details like I said earlier. See the attached image. I asked db n that was their response. They also said for the amount to be blocked, to ask the German embassy in ur country. As it's the embassy that can tell u the actual. So like I said if u have ur admission letter u shd not have any trouble. So I said use ur head - if u re expecting admission letter soon, u shd just book appointment for blocked account already. U can cancel if it does not work. Alternatively, if u have ur admission n u want to cut the story short. Just waltz into the German embassy Abuja and run ur account opening as a boss since no appointment is needed. All u need is to be there at the designated hrs. Also for those who will receive had copy admission letters. u can ask the uni to send u admission notification by email so u can use immediately. July is all we've got people.

For the account opening I don't think there's any need to panic esp if u have ur admission letter. Also when giving out info, give at source pls. All this panic started wt someone referring us to the new form via German embassy website. This made it look like our wonderful chinko lady changed it. But I have compared the supposedly new blocked account checklist with the old. And nothing has changed. All info is as it was. Even the visa checklist still has the old €79** figure. So nothing as per embassy has changed just that db issued a new form. More details later. But like I said I don't think u shd panic. Remember what I said earlier. Nothing is binding until. August 1. Use ya head. Now I sound like a lawyer. Lol. But use ya head
