really. why is that girl being called "pretty panda" and the other girl "lil' monkey" soundin all ghetto and stuff.
COME ON!! we al know that before they put this product on the market OF COURSE they thought about the monkey concept. how does that not cross a person's mind. "Lil' Monkey"
and wouldnt they think this would offend some people? AND ITS STILL ON THE MARKET?!?!?!
its obvious dumb black people are buying it.
what sort of rubbish is this?[/quote]I dunno if any Blacks of this modern age still feel that inferior to buy a thing attached to such blatant racism.
But it'd suck if some people are still "internally oppressed", it's the worst form. Nothing worse than low self-esteem.

But these racist companies have some nerves though! It's sad because nothing much can be done anyway.

CultureRe: Racist Doll by chiogo(f): 5:32am On Dec 07, 2009
People who dunno the history of this whole thing will be claiming that blacks are over sensitive. Can't believe s&% like this is still happening.

There's actually an old video back in the day when slavery just got abolished and segregation in schools was in full force where kids would be shown a black and white doll and asked to pick which one is cute and ugly. Even the black kids picked the white doll as the cute one while the black doll is the ugly one. Internalized oppression.

This is just another way for racists to continue to propagate their racist beliefs in a different form. It's still racism however you wanna see it.

In the Afro. Am class I took/still taking, Abercrombie and Fitch(the popular clothing company) is said to pull racist stuff too by making subtle Asian jokes on their T-shirts, a law suit was filed against them not long ago and they paid big time.
Music/RadioRe: Yo, I'm In Love With This Nigerian Rapper. . . .heard Of Him? by chiogo(f): 3:49am On Dec 07, 2009
Well, he's more or less African-American. I think he was born here but I like how he uses his name, Wale.

You probably just heard about him 'cause he's still new anyway. Heard about him last yr maybe but didn't know his songs till Nike boots early this yr.

ChinenyeN:
That's because it's a new coinage. Other variants are "agbamaho" or "agbamaro" (at least, those are the variants that I know of).
Never heard of those either.

ChinenyeN:
In our house, we say "agada" when referring to a table.
In my house, it's just table. lol

@chiogo- have u heard her sing live?? atrocious lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed
Nope. The one she does on TV is good enough for me. It's not like she's the only one who sucks on stage. Many singers suck. The power of auto-tune!!
but wetin concern me? Never bought her album, don't think that'd be happening in the future. grin

The last 3 covers are very nice. The cover of Ije(?) looks very creative.

I can't stand this girl's voice especially when she sings ballads. I almost stabbed myself to death after listening to Unfaithful, not to mention her new single Russian Roulette. Sorry but this girl is simply without any ounce of talent.

In addition she can't dance. She sings danceable songs and can't move her own body to it. Are those marketers taking us for fools or what?

I also noticed she is always wearing just panties and bras in most of her videos. What the hell? Am I watching TV to see her chest and behind? Even though Beyonce is also guilty of the same thing (and shouts a lot), she has the voice going for her and she can dance.

Rihanna can't sing or dance. Why the hell is she famous?
LOL Really?? grin grin What happened then? tongue

She's a good singer in my opinion, just don't like her sudden "rock-star-wannabe" style. I liked her style when she first started off.
