My life ---> The Game ft. Lil' wayne Miss independent----> Ne-yo |
SeanT21:He's better than your boy, 50 though. ![]() @topic I love the song "my life" with Lil' wayne and "Game's pain" with Keyshia Cole. Too bad he's retiring but good luck to him! He's better than a lotta wack cats out there who shoulda "been" retired. |
I don't see what's not to like about xbox pads. For goodness sakes, that shit is wireless!! ![]() You could press a button from the living room and it would work on the game which is upstairs. Oh well, i'm not a game-freak like before so i've never played the xbox 360 to know if it's good or not. my brothers play it and i like the pad. So, i guess I'll choose PS2(not 3, it's been long i played, man )Wii That sounds chinese. Me no like. I see old women playing that shit on the train. |
@poster, yeah, it is kind@ hard to understand your first post due to "grammatical errors". (you probably rushed thru the post) ![]() Although I get what you're asking but I'm sure you can go back and edit them for those who do not by clicking the "modify" button. @topic, yeah, there should be a difference just like a Nigerian born in the states would be different from the Nigerian born in Nigeria. some differences: *accent *dress sense(it differs though) *attitude/way of life The Nigerian born in America is more or less an American which is different from a Nigerian. |
Nella:L0L! they look nice but i only got the purple one. hoping to buy more! ![]() |
darkey:By how many years am I older you? ![]() |
Colored skinny pants - purple, pink, yellow, etc. |

Hmmm, this story sounds untrue. Just the other day on some website, she said she only wears designer clothings. She usually travels to paris, etc to buy them and cannot wear anything less than that. when my brother told me, i was like . So, how can she possibly go broke now?? ![]() |

I decided to create this topic after reading comments on the topic "First class students: what are your secrets?". I couldn't reply there because i'm not in college yet. But a comment by one of the first class students got me thinking. A lot of Nigerians (including myself) have always believed that the school system abroad is way easier compared to that of Nigeria. For example here in the States, teachers do not write lots of notes on the board for students to copy like it is in most schools in Nigeria. Most of the notes are gotten from the textbook but the teacher further explains things verbally. It's left to you to copy it down or not. Back to my point - one of the first class students on that thread i mentioned got a 70% according to him, which is an A. Meanwhile, over here in the States(well Boston as far as i know), a 70% is a C- which means you only passed, not a fantastic grade. A grade of A starts from 90% upwards. I believe this is also peculiar to colleges here according to my siblings who are in college. After weighing this, i really don't think the American school system is easy. It's harsher compared to that of Nigeria. However, I know that earning that 70% which is a C in Nigeria must surely take a lot of hard work compared to earning the same 70% in the US. What do you guys think?? is the grading method harsher in Nigeria or abroad?? |
@Deepzone, damn! I thought i was done with this topic and you went and wrote all that. I personally feel that you have some kind@ beef with nurses. Like KarmaMod said, unless you've done a survey of all the nurses in America, all your claims about nurses being "pompous" is a complete farce. Show me the survey, then we'd talk. |
Old news. He's no correction officer! |
English ain't that hard, 2 lines rhymes, get it right For y'all clowns, I'm finna pull out tha gat ![]() |

That's what you say now. Well, anyway, you seem like you had fun there, being a big fan of the Mavericks and all.Well, you know it's Celtics all day! ![]() |
Ain't no ricky ross, call me that Cuz we got da same swag You think u know bout me just Cuz ur jeans sag |
Too many niggas here tryna floss Call me ricky ross Cuz I'm tha biggest boss |
Umm,no U? |
@A-40, yeah, that's why I thought you stay in TX. You're a mav. fan. Whatcha mean too many whites? LOL! Trust me, you don't wanna live in a black neighborhood, too many shootings! |
@theopops and Deepzone, both of you keep repeating the same thing. I am focusing on these particular nurses in this story. Yes, according to the story they disrespected their husbands. Is that a reason why they should be murdered? Be honest to yourself. If everyone who was disrespectful got murdered, the world's population will be on a big decline. What if these high school teachers started butchering every student that is rude to them? Man, lots of students would be 6ft deep. These men actually had the opportunity to walk away. Last time I checked men were physically stronger than women. It's not like they were tied up. Some of these men actually murdered their wives because the wives wanted to leave them. What does that show? Insecurity! You're not happy she earns more than you yet you won't let her leave. Haba! I know the link up there doesn't work but I actually saw the story on another site and you'D read more details. Ok, both you and Deepzone make more than nurses. Kudos! But aren't you doing the same thing you accuse nurses of doing? Yes, some nurses probably boast about their wealth. So do other people in other professions. My mom once told me that a fellow nurse told her that my aunt, who's also a nurse dresses like a poor person and her clothes look like walmart material. But this doesn't prove anything. Even housewives with no jobs gossip about what other women put on. That's what some women do. By the way, some nurses earn up to $40 per hour and above without working over-time. That doesn't mean anything, just making sure you know $35/hour is not their maximum. |
@ Onyinye2, Nuh uh, KG isn't the only good one. Rajon has a lot of potential, watch him play - I love that boy! Haha. But seriously, he's only like 23, in 5 years time, I bet you, he'd be the one on people's lips and not Kobe. |
Wha wha? Haha, all these hating, man! Lakers all the way? That's why they got their butts whooped at the championship! ROFLMFAO! I can't even remember the score but am sure it was up to 30 points of ass-whooping. Nobody is checking celtics out? Well, they're top dogs now, they should be chilling and watching the young'uns play. LOL!
Rondo is just pure eye candy. Just sexy from head to toe with a great crossover.
Hey hey, don't be talkin about my boo like that. Lolz. Yeah i was talking about the last game the Lakers played and it was a home game to the leprechauns. So of course they are going to favor them when it comes to fouls and such.Yeah right. What stopped them from taking it when they were home in LA?
I have been a basket ball fan since i was 4 years old. In fact basket ball is my first love. I have been playing since i was ten.
Wow! That's gud. Well, I've always liked the sport but never much of a fan. I plan to play it when I go back to school(senior yr) or in college. Either way, I'm gonna play that sport. |
@A-40, aiight, that's cool. I got 2 aunts in H-town too but I never been there. @infobaba, I know but hey, somebody gotta take the spot. At least he wasn't lying when he sang 'I get money'. |
@Onyinye2, home game my ass! I recall some were played in LA and others played in Boston. It wasn't all played in boston. The Celtics def. deserved to win, what? It was their year. They hadn't won in years. Well, you got me on the name thingy. I ain't a die-hard fan. I started watching B-ball because of my brother. And I fell in love with Rajon Rondo. LMAO! I don't even care about the rest except a few like KG, PP, Allen, etc but to be honest, I don't know all the names of the Celtics players. How do you expect me to know those of TX? LOL |
Yup. 'Innit'??, I thought you stay in TX. LOL! |
@Onyinye2, Yao?? Isn't he the 'over-tall', Asian player? LMAO! I dunno who scola is. I gotta watch it harder. They're not popular! *My bad* @MandigoII, I get what you're saying. But I bet you that if they had gone for it, it would most likely not be counted and labelled as 'foul'. Just like the Lakers Vs Celtics in the championship, everything the Celtics did was 'foul'. It got me sooo mad. Lakers commit their own foul but nobody says anything. Well, luckily, the true winners took the gold at the end of the day - Celtics. In this case, Nigeria is the under-dog and they played their part. But unfortunately, they didn't win. |
@Onyinye2, Wha wha?? Who are the lephracuns(whatever that means)?? When it comes to my sexy hunks, Rajon & kevin, I get down for my team! Don't even go there, LOL! You stay in TX and supporting Lakers. Your city got no good players?? |
LOL! That's right. That's why, I stand by my comment! |
@Onyinye2, it's not only a Nigerian thing. Americans do it too. I'm referring to your comment about Nigerians not supporting their players, and hence making the players move to other countries. Yes, they tried but criticism helps people to improve. Ofcourse, we all know they tried their best but obviously, their best wasn't enough. I'm sure these players don't even wanna hear they did good, they know they could have done better. I remember when New england patriots(my team) lost to NY giants. Well, I'm not really a fan of much sports save for B-ball. Only reason I call it my team is cuz it's a boston team, they're all my teams! Anywayz, at school the next morning, most teachers were so pissed, they took it out on us. Same as college professors(my siblings told me). My male friends who are die-hard fans didn't even wanna talk about. It was all fun for me but immediately I brought it up, they all go 'pls, I don't wanna talk about that'. And I was like 'shoot'. So, anywayz, it's not a Nigerian thing. It's what real fans do. With time, they'd get over it. LOL! |
A media LovePeddler is one that believes anything he/she hears from the media including the internet.
Ok, most of what I wrote here were based on what I've seen or heard by people it happened to. Who believes the media?
Why make a general statement if you haven't been to Europe and the middle east or ask questions?
Well, I didn't really mean to generalize but this story was about nurses in America. Everybody knows America has a big population, I think it's pretty obvious nurses would be in high demand. Well, china and india also have high populations, so u got me on that one.
Immigrants mainly choose nursing not only because of the duration but for the fact that it affords them more opportunity to work anywhere and still make a decent living with less segregation and racism. Ask those in corporate America and other careers what they go through here because of their origin.
Umm, there's racism in every professional job in the States, believe it or not. How many hospitals are owned by blacks? How many black judges have there been in the states??
Someone is seriously lying to you. I don't know where your mother met the so called "quack" doctors but your story is way over exaggerated. Nurses anyway always boast they have equivalent knowledge with the doctor but will never go to medical school or haven't you heard technicians say the same thing about Engineers? How come Nigerian doctors come over here and pass the American board exam which is arguably the most difficult in the world?
I only mentioned that story(which is true by the way) to show you how 'qualified' some doctors in Nigeria are. Like you said, American board exam is hard, why then should nurses who came from Nigeria not feel proud of moving to the States and passing the 'hard' exam??. When my mom moved to the States, she took the board exam for nurses and passed after the first trial even though she studied nursing back in Nigeria. And the terminologies used in Nigeria(similar to europe's) is very different from that of America. I know some other people who have taken that exam the 100th time and keep failing. So, why shouldn't those who made it be proud of themselves? LOL!
Who told you nurses make tonnes of thousands? Forget that fairy tale until you get in the train. How many hotels or business empires did your mom raise with her "thousands"? No be nurse she be? For a nurse to take home $10K in a month in America, she must be doing something else beside nursing(i don't care how many hrs she worked) and even that will not qualify as tonnes of thousand.
Lol, they do make tons of thousands oh. You want me to tell you how much my mother makes ? I can't *lips sealed*. LOL!
Some of these men do not have any other option. Are you suggesting they abandon their families and walk because they don't have any money?
So, murdering their wives is a better option??
So what you are saying is that you won't have a problem if your husband derides and abuse you as long as he's paying the bills? Is that what you are insinuating since you believe in equity like me? What is good for the Geese, should also be good for the gander.
Well, these women paid the bills but still got butchered. They lost both ways, you see. Like I said earlier, I don't intend on being a nurse(even though my mom is one) and not even because of this story. I just don't like the title, 'doctor' sounds better, lol. Neither am I going to marry someone I earn more than since according to you, God made men to have 'egos'.
Much as I agree with you on this one, you need to let the women understand that hurting someone's ego can also have severe consequences including karma. Have you noticed the rate most kids born to Nigerian parents here desert their parents once they turn 18? Most of those kids came from homes where daddy and mummy were working all day as nurses. Now , they have the money but the kids they worked for ignored them. Chasing away your husband to Nigeria may make those kids turn against you later in life, it's happening everyday now here in maryland.
Wow! So, death is now the karma for hurting one's ego? I can't say this enough but DIVORCE is enough karma. You know how divorce is regarded in the Nigerian community. Tongues would begin wagging about how her husband left her. Isn't that enough karma??. Is the man really considering his kids by taking away the life of the woman who gave them life??. I'm the last child of my parents, I and my older siblings haven't run out of the house? Many other kids here I know with Nurse mothers, they also haven't eloped.
Could it be because she's mature and well cut? ask her about disrespecting your dad because she prolly makes more money and see what she'll tell you.
Hmm, maybe. Abeg forget american celebrities, nobody cares about them. We're talking about Nigerians here. LOL, I'm too tired to quote everything cuz I'm using my phone. |
