The F. G. has come out to say it doesn't plan on banning Okada. So why all the fuss? |
Kx:Hey! Respect yourself there. |
When you, as a human being, determine that something is right, isn't it judgment? Judgment is the ability to decipher right from wrong. |
Oh, that! I thought some new case had cropped up. |
$ugardaddy: Lies Inc |
Lets transpose that verse you quote about not judging to modern English. "You may think you can condemn such people, but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse! When you say they are wicked and should be punished, you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others do these very same things." (Romans 2:1) Judging implies telling one that what he or she is doing is not right, and vehemently opposing its continuance. By condemning, you are usurping God's authority to kill the person in question. |
gentmint:If any man shall see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. (1 John 5:16-17) |
How could she even ask not to be judged harshly, when what she is doing is able to contribute to family break-up, which is the first step to attacking the fabric of stable society, and ultimate could culminate in death? Preposterous! |
@Hour_Glass, gracias. |
gentmint:Is there any place then for gay men in Heaven? Before you answer, be warned that if you add or subtract from the word of God, you will have no portion in the kingdom of God (Rev. 22:18-19). |
denny4ril:Who tell you say the snake escape. Them don chop am come talk say e escape so make animal rights activist no make noise. |

Can a pack of puppies do anything against a full-grown lion? AI should try to be realistic. The moment that happens, the same AI would join USA to label Tanzania et al terrorist exporting countries. Abeg leave martha for matthias. |
@Georgialuv, I will invite you for my wedding. Then I will toast you. Hope you fall for me. |
Bolt2011:What about Suswam? What is his case? As for Onyejeocha, I hope it will not be swept under the carpet. |
mightlove:I did do some dieting, abstaining from food and only eating very little when hungry. I was on this for about a month, and the effect was wonderful. I dropped from 98kg to 80kg. I am eating now as normal as should be, without overeating. The thing is that some days I measure, and I am 80-82, some other days I am near 88, and then it gets down again. I just don't want to gain more weight. Should I continue the strict diet regime? |
annawhite:Hmm. I am waiting. ![]() |
And as it was in the beginning, so shall it be, now and forever, world with an end. Amen! |
PointB:Don't forget that there are so many dynamics at play in this nation, and you cannot just cite the Eastern zone as the factor, though it is one of the important factors. And certainly, apart from David Mark, don't ignore the likes of Gov. Babangida and Ribadu. And it might not be a PDP government. |
Is it normal for weight to fluctuate between 80-89kg? That is what I am experiencing. |
By 2015 IBB, Buhari, Ciroma and that class would be deemed too old to lead this country. As for Atiku, well, his outbursts disqualify him already. I know power will return to the North come 2015. The men to watch are Nuhu Ribadu, David Mark, Aliko Dangote, Namadi Sambo, Rabiu Kwankwaso and Babangida Aliyu, to mention a few. |
The film show has started. |
Exam Fraud: It’s A Set Up –rep’s Aide Less than 24 hours after Daily Sun broke the story, Hon. Onyejeocha allegedly mobilized an aide to storm Umuahia over the matter. The aide has contacted the local government chairman, Mr. Dan Okoli; leadership of Abia State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the state’s Commissioner of Police. Reliable sources told Sunday Sun that the aide first met with Mr. Okoli, who in turn took him to top officials of the State CID and the CP on Friday. “Hon. Onyejeocha has already mobilized one of her top aides in Abuja to Umuahia over the matter. She sent a man from Abuja on Friday, who met with Dan Okoli and the State CID. Later, they went to meet the CP and stayed there till 6p.m. “Thereafter, they lodged at Eastern Comfort Hotel, Umuahia. But we are watching and waiting,” the source said. On Thursday, Chetachi Obi, aide to the lawmaker representing the Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, was arrested for allegedly writing the ongoing Nov/Dec NABTEB examination for her boss. But she claimed her arrest was a set up by political opponents of her boss. Obi and the examination invigilator were arrested at Unique Comprehensive High School, Isuochi, following a tip-off from those who alleged that Obi had been writing the examination for the lawmaker daily since November 10. However, the police in Abia State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have said investigation into the arrest of Obi was ongoing. A team of policemen from the command would be dispatched to the Benin office of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board this week to find out if the honourable member registered for the examination or not. Impeccable police source, who pleaded anonymity, disclosed yesterday that since the examination body had no office in Abia, the command would dispatch a team to Benin, which is the board’s headquarters, to cross-check issues regarding the allegation against Obi, who has been released on bail. “We don’t want to be seen trading words with the suspect. This is not the first paper she is writing the examination. You know politicians; they are only trying to launder their image. “We are still investigating the matter. NABTEB has no office in the state. We will go to Benin on working days to carry on with the investigation,” our source said. Meanwhile, Obi, who briefed journalists in Umuahia, claimed she was called by an unknown person to come to the Unique Comprehensive High School centre for the examination, and was arrested by policemen, who took her to the State CID, Umuahia. She said those who saw what was going on between her and the police even thought she was being kidnapped. “What happened two days ago was unfortunate. The incident made me understand how desperate people who want to be in power can be. I was in ABSU, where I was doing my registration for a Law admission I gained when somebody called me that I had an urgent message from my boss. I went as the person asked me to come to the examination centre at Unique Comprehensive High School. When I got there, somebody came out from the hall and asked me if I am Onyejenze and I asked if there was any problem, and they asked me to wait. They said they were there for me and that I should give them my car key, which I obeyed under threat, and they took me to Umunneochi police station in their white Mercedes Benz car, from where they took me to State CID Umuahia. “There, I was shown a letter from the Commissioner of Police said to have been written by Isuochi people against my boss. When I asked to see the petitioner, they refused to show me and said it was a high profile case in which two elephants are fighting and that I would be the grass. I was refused bail on Thursday and was granted bail on Friday between 5:30 and 6p.m. Those who arrested me are DSP Onyemauche and one officer from Legal Department of State CID,” Obi said. She threatened to take the police and all the newspapers that publicized the allegation to court for redress. She stated that her boss did not enter for any NABTEB examination, having obtained her WASC, Diploma and Master’s degree from Imo State University. http://newnigerianpolitics.com/2011/12/04/exam-fraud-it%E2%80%99s-a-set-up-%E2%80%93rep%E2%80%99s-aide/ |
Whether or not Jonathan left things in a bad state is not the case; thing is, Sylva is an under-achiever if he could not make any headway out of the "mess" he inherited. That speaks volumes of the type of administrator he is, not being able to improve whatever he finds. If then, that is good riddance. |
See all of una head like Cafenol. |
Thing is, this government is a puzzle. No one seems to understand as yet the direction it is headed. At least we knew what Obj's objective was, and Yar'Adua's yardstick. Which one be Oga GEJ own? |
Then lets get Jama'atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda'awati wal-Jihad, Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, and Oodua People's Congress (Militant Faction) to collaborate and carry out a revolution for us. After they have fought out the old order, I will then take over and lead the nation towards progress. I am the only one that has what it takes to deliver this country. |
baslone:Ignore, it is a gross misrepresentation of my Father. |
Good progress in Abia. |
F.G. Denies Banning Commercial Motorcycles From Ahamefula Ogbu in Abuja The federal government yesterday denied reports that it had banned the use of commercial motorcycles popularly called Okada as it was not interested in doing anything that would affect the livelihood of average Nigerians. Briefing newsmen yesterday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Minister of Environment, Hadiza Mailafia said the government had not authorised any agency to ban Okada, including the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) which allegedly announced the ban. Mailafia assured that no decision had been reached on the issue following representations and pressures mounted by the Okada riders who alleged that certain brands of motorcycles had been marked for ban based on environmental issues. "There is no decision so far as far as I am concerned about banning the use of Achaba or Okada. Of course, we are concerned about pollution but we have not issued any statement to that effect. "The true position is that government is calling on individuals and organisations of the entire polity to take care of their environment by complying with rules and regulations. That doesn't mean you cannot ride motorcycles," Mailafia explained. She said she was surprised and still probing the source of such information, which she described as untrue. She however stressed the need for Nigerians to be environmentally conscious and not engage in action that would harm the environment and their health as pollution has some severe implications. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/fg-denies-banning-commercial-motorcycles/104157/ |
I would advocate that the moneys should not be recovered, but these men involved should be made to serve long and stiff jail sentences. |
