Education › Some Differences Between Before And Now. by chipet67(op): 10:08am On Apr 27, 2015 |
BEFORE AND NOW
1. Before is before and now is now.
2. Before we walk on footbridges and hills to give cars their way, but now cars go on bridges and flyovers to give humans way to pass.
3. Before vultures eat corpses of dead people on the road, but now due to our sinful nature the vultures has left those corpses to the police and red cross to carry.
4. Before You get jobs due to your academic balance but now you get jobs due to massive sorting and bribing.
5. Before you pass exams base on how you read and study but now you pass due to compliance with invigilators to cheat.
6. Before if the owner of a house shouts "who is there" thieves run away but now if thieves shout the same, owners of their houses urinates in their pants.
7. Before worldly people bring cases to the churches to judge but now the church takes cases to the court to judge.
8. Before torn clothes are abominable but now they are accepted as trendy clothes and fashion.
9. Before founders of churches are seen as GO's and GS's but now they are seen as CEO's. (Business)
10. Before the church is where sins are exposed but now the church is where sinners are hidden.
These things have I discovered, you can also add yours . |

stronger: DO THEY HAVE PVCs??!!!
This question has been recycled so many times and I am surprised when it comes from people who should know better. Let me try and explain;
(1) Yes, in fact they may have PVCs. I know a few people who came home to register and are coming this week to get their PVCs. Expand your network and get to know more people.
(2) Even if they don't have PVCs, they are stakeholders in the Nigerian project. The diaspora community sends back billions of dollars home EVERY YEAR! That translates to a higher GDP that strengthens the economy. You therefore can NOT neglect them. You must have a onverstaion with them on why they should trust the GMB govt. Why they should consider moving back etc! Think
(3) Do you even realise the population of Nigerians in Diaspora? Do you know how much influence they may have on their people back home? I know a woman who is a leader of her constituency and stays in Baltimore She is highly respected by THOUSANDS! She is in the US because she is sad about the state of things in Nigeria. If she sees reason with a GMB govt, she can single-handedly influence THOUSANDS OF VOTES!! can give you her name if you want! She doesn't have a PVC o. But she is worth thousands of votes!!
(4) Lastly, THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY!! During the American election 3-day debate, A WHOLE DAY was dedicated to FOREIGN POLICY!! Do you think US does not have enough domestic issues? of course Nigeria is not as powerful as the US and can't have a say in a lot of foreign policy discussions but the International community needs to have CONFIDENCE in the govt. That's the only way they will invest (and thus bring employment etc). So the CHATHAM HOUSE SPEECH for example was directed at mostly the intl community.
Please let's try to do some basic reasoning and not follow the crowd to yell same things over again!!

ruffhandu: A day of reckoning indeed will come, albeit to everyone. Amaechi has actually gone off handle and has belittled himself before people like me; who only participated in the last election for his and Jonathan's sake, by some of his unbridled utterances.
He attended a convocation somewhere in PortHarcourt recently and told the crowd that he did not come to deliver an address as invited, but to incite them to rise against the president
It is sickening. He may need to be mentally evaluated so we don't keep assuming all is well with him.
To say he has lost all sense of decorum is not out ouf place. Inasmuch as he doesn't give heed to third party advice, people close to him should make efforts to caution him.
Talkativeness is not a mark of bravery, but the opposite true talk dear, even our last born will not do things that Amaechi who is a well travelled man is doing. Chai, shame leave am catch me. |
