Why will u wish for my mentality to change? Have I hurt anybody? Am I a threat to anybody? All because I don't fancy the troubles that come with putting a woman in my house, you are praying my mentality will change. Wow.

Ladies, is it that y'all are created for nothing more than Marriage and to be called Mrs? This mentality is actually why desperation in girls is on the rise these days and more guys are beginning to see marriage as trouble.

As graduates, you should not be protesting for what cannot be achieved. Those that have jobs in government are being owed salaries for months and you want to protest for jobs to be given to you. I think it will be time wasted.

But if you strategise well, make practical suggestions that will lead to massive real job creation and employment in various sectors and make this your protest theme, then the incoming government will know that Nigerian graduates are serious and have practical solutions to our problems.

For me, I think the protest should have a theme like
'FG-Implement Protective policies in bla bla bla sector'.

Protective policy is one heavy way that we can create jobs rapidly. The government doesn't have to create jobs by themselves, they just have to put a ban on importation of certain finished retail products and even services.
Also a ban on exportation of raw materials like Yam, oil, cocoa, etc....this will make private billonaires invest in many sectors and we will be exporting more finished products. Companies will be built to service the needs of Nigerians and other countries around.

Protective policies work like hell, infact, its been the only effective method that works in Africa.
The Dangote group of companies that we are so proud of which employs thousands of Nigerians became what it is today due to protective policies where importation of bla bla bla is banned by government and Dangote created companies to service the needs at first, then later began exporting...eg Dansa Foods etc.

I will stop here for now, I trust as smart Abuja based graduates, you guys can put your heads together and come up with a realistic theme, a ready practical proposal to forward to the incoming government upon request and a strategy as to how you will get your protest plans executed effectively so the desired goal of getting good jobs will be achieved.

Though, For excellent candidates, a difficult interview is the surest way to sell yourself convincingly.

Why do they need you?
There are specific functions, skills, competencies as stated in the job advert. Convince them that you have these qualities.

If time permits you, use examples of times you have shown these soft skills/values/competencies to give evidence to your claim.

You must show right there and then that you are different from other candidates, not just by saying you are...you must show it.

Your impressive résumé and glowing
recommendations may be enough to land you an
interview but they won’t get you the job. Once you
are in the hot seat, it’s up to you to really sell
yourself to the employer. As a job applicant, you
are selling your personal brand to an employer,
hoping they will entrust you with the role.

4. Prepare to Talk About Your Resume

Your resume and cover letter will likely form an
outline for at least part of your interview. Because
a resume has to be brief, it probably says many
things that could be elaborated on or explained in
more detail. Often a resume explains the
“what” (for instance, “supervised two people,
“developed a new strategy”). Use the interview to
talk about the “how,” as well as skills you gained,
praise you received and so on.

5. Be Aware of Nonverbal Communication

You say a lot about yourself with nonverbal
language: your posture and your facial
expressions, for instance. Sit up straight, leaning
forward can make you seem closed off, as can
holding a briefcase or purse in your lap. Maintain
eye contact when answering interview questions,
and smile frequently. Also, practice your
handshake with a friend: An overly aggressive
handshake can be as off-putting as a limp one.

6. Be Positive

Avoid complaining about a former employer or
company, laying blame at a former manager’s feet ,
doing so will likely make you seem difficult to work
with (or disloyal). Even if you quit your last job in a
rage because you had an incompetent manager,
saying something like “I felt I was ready for a more
challenging position, like this one seems to be”
turns a potentially interview-killing situation into
something that makes you look very attractive to a
hiring manager.

7. Be a storyteller

Just as it is for brands, storytelling is crucial in an
interview. Think of an interview as an opportunity
to tell your personal brand story, Job seekers
should present their attributes articulately, in a way
that makes the most powerful statement. Be
animated. Be enthusiastic. Above all, be authentic.”

8. Don’t Burn any Bridges

The last thing an individual should do is burn
bridges with a former or present boss. Doing so
can have a negative impact going forward on your
career, not to mention come across to a potential
employer as negative and one reason not to hire
you.

When you go on a job interview – the bottom line is
simple – Sell, sell and sell yourself.

Remember the interviewers are humans and not gods, They expect the best from you, many people are outstanding at the job but lack confidence at interviews. When you remember that the interviewer is just another human like you, then you should concentrate more on what you want to say/do.

Always think about what you want to say before you say them.

We should stop using jobs to compensate people in this country. If you want to compensate anybody, give them cash from your personal account or a presidential handshake + certificate of patriotism from the office of the presidency.

That's cool, I once felt the same way too. Problems only really arise if you challenge their views, or you get baptised and things don't go so well. There is a massive cloak of deception that they are forced to wear and show to the world, but underneath the veil they aren't so different from everybody else. Thats the truth, it's all an act.

naaaaaa, i dont think that is totally true,..i studied with JWs for almost 3 years, i decided not to get baptised after being a piblisher. i also visited Bethel at Igeduma,Edo state on various occassions.

i dont know about you but i can authoritatively say that- if you understand the JW way and you decide to be one of them, you will have a good life as a JW. Even though i decided not to be one of them as i chose not to get baptised. Almost my witness friends are very very nice to me, they are like family to me as they are always there and always very supportive, even more than my new church members.

i think its about your surrounding, their orientation and their level of exposure, witnesses i know in Benin and Environs are one awesome group of people.
