I am not surprised that he cannot tell the difference between HR Manager and company owner. Misogynistic men no dey ever get sense. |
To all the guys that are not planning to get married but want kids at the same time, better get professional surrogate mother's to carry the pregnancy and pay her afterwards. Also get professional wet nurse to breastfeed your kids and pay her after she's done with breastfeeding. Also get professional nanny to take care of your kids, bathe them, feed them, keep them safe from killing themselves while you go to work. Everyday. DO NOT GET BABY MAMAS. You people are looking for women to turn to single mothers and to destroy with your selfishness. You claim women don't contribute anything but you want to get baby mamas to bear your kids and take care of them free of charge. Una dey crase. Stupid mad men. |

Host78:First of all, gay men don't experience less domestic violence, they only report it less. Secondly, there are less gay divorces because a lot of gay marriages are open marriages. You have been all over the thread complaining about women. Haba calm down, nobody is forcing you to be with them, avoid women if you dislike them so much, all this bitterness isn't necessary. |
Host78:Really? Is that why there are more male criminals and more male murderers and kidnappers? |
Almunjid:So women don't offer any kind of assistance to their husbands? Only husbands assist in marriage? |
How feminist movements can better communicate with men to reduce that backlash and hostility and build understanding 1. Communicate Equality, Not Superiority Many men tune out the word *feminism* because they’ve been told it means “women over men.” It helps to emphasize fairness and partnership that feminism benefits everyone: > It frees women from limitations. >It frees men from emotional repression and toxic pressure to always be “strong” or “providers.” Example message: “Feminism isn’t about hating men; it’s about freeing both men and women from unfair expectations.” 2.Create Spaces for Men to Engage Without Shame Men need spaces to learn, question, and participate in feminism without feeling like they’ll be ridiculed or “cancelled” for not knowing everything. Workshops, online dialogues, and community groups that invite conversation, not confrontation often have the biggest impact. 3.Focus on Shared Values Most men already believe in basic fairness, equal pay, respect, no violence, opportunity for all. Framing feminism as the organized effort toward fairness helps avoid ideological fights. For example: > “If you believe your sister, daughter, or female colleague deserves the same respect as you — you already believe in feminism.” 4.Use Empathy, Not Blame It’s tempting to express anger (and often justified). But conversations that start with “men are the problem” trigger defensiveness. Using empathy — “We’ve all grown up in a system that teaches harmful gender roles” — invites reflection instead of resistance. 7.Show How Feminism Improves Society Examples that appeal to logic and compassion both help: * Economies grow when women work freely. * Domestic violence rates drop when gender equality rises. * Men report higher life satisfaction in gender-equal societies. Bottom line: > Feminism becomes most powerful when it’s seen not as a battle of sexes — but as a movement to heal and balance humanity as a whole. Blessings and prosperity to all who read this post. |
1.Misunderstanding What Feminism Means Many men (and women too) associate feminism with “hating men” or “wanting women to dominate men.” In reality, **feminism is about equality of opportunity, rights, AND RESPECT between genders**, not reversing oppression. Because of misinformation online or extreme examples in media, some men form a distorted view and see feminism as an attack on them personally. Which it isn't. 2.Perceived Threat to Male Privilege Historically, men have held more social, political, and economic power. Feminism simply requests equality in the workplace, in relationships, in law, etc. Some men interpret this as a loss of power, respect, or identity, rather than as society moving toward fairness. 3.Identity and Ego Patriarchal cultures often teach men that their worth comes from being “strong,” “in control,” and “the provider.” Feminism questions these rigid roles, which can make some men feel uncertain about what being a “man” means today. So the reaction is sometimes defensive “If women can do what I do, then what’s my role?” 4.Online Culture and Polarization Social media amplifies extremes. Anti-feminist influencers often frame feminism as “toxic,” “anti-family,” or “anti-men,” creating echo chambers where resentment grows. Some men find community in these spaces because they feel overlooked or blamed by modern society, even if their frustrations aren’t truly about feminism itself. 5.Personal Experiences Some men may have had negative personal encounters, e.g., a breakup, divorce, or workplace tension and associate feminism with those experiences. Instead of separating individual behavior from a social movement, they generalize and react emotionally. 6.Cultural or Religious Beliefs In many societies, traditional gender roles are deeply woven into religion or culture. Feminism’s ideas about autonomy, sexuality, or leadership roles for women can clash with those traditions, leading to rejection or fear of social change. |
Nonexisting1:But men are funny Sha oo. If women stay at home depending on their husbands men will say they are liabilities that bring nothing to the table. If women go to work to provide, the same men will say it's because they want to talk back to their husbands. Nothing women do will ever be correct in the eyes of men. |
NosyParrot:The OP is lying. Nobody is monitoring his phone. |
Imagine if a wife is the one that started this thread to complain that her husband is monitoring her phone. Insults for don full the thread by now. |
Men always have some sort of advice for women as if we asked them their opinions in the first place. Its like me sef I will go and start a topic advising bachelors to marry the first ugly overweight woman that shows interest in them. After all the fine girl they marry today will still grow old and wrinkled in future. |
chidiokay:There is nothing like feminism there, polygamy is very unfair and emotionally draining to wives and children, but men in their usual selfishness pretend they don't know this and continue to promote polygamy. |
Dogalmighty17:"Any woman that allows another woman to snatch her husband" Because the husband is a zombie that only does what others allow abi wetin? The worst part is that a lot of men actually reason like this, they will see husbands cheating and then conclude that it's because their wives caused it or "allowed" it. Very funny creatures. |
zebszebs:This topic is always posted on Nairaland front page every three Eke Market days. It's clickbait for guys that are angry with girls and/or hate women. |
This country is truly hopeless If every single TELCO could band together and throttle internet access just to prevent Nigerians from protesting for their rights. All the network providers were part of the wickedness. No exceptions. This country is gone. |
Shame on those people supporting this nonsense. |
Ishilove:First class in economics. But having first class in school doesn't really mean somebody has worldly sense. With all due respect. |
1Sharon:Yes. All the men have to do is proclaim divorce three times in a space of three months. Please don't mind that guy that is trying to hide the flaws of his religion with complicated explanations. |
islamics:Where did I say the divorce is proclaimed at a go? I know very well how the divorce is proclaimed thrice by husbands. It still doesn't make it less unfair. |
islamics:I have seen many videos on the internet of Muslim women complaining that their Imam refused them divorce after trying to leave their abusive husbands, you have to admit it's a bit unfair for the divorce process to be so easy and effortless as proclaiming divorce thrice for the husbands while the wives have to "convince" a judge or Imam that her reasons for divorce are valid before she can leave an unhappy marriage. |
shaybebaby:@bold is one part of Islam I don't understand. Muslim women don't like sharing their men here on earth so why will they work for a paradise where they have to share their men with 72 virgins for all eternity. What kind of hellish paradise is that? Does their God hate them abi wetin ![]() |
cococandy:Yes you're right but I don't like being fair in my judgment of men because I dislike them and their evil ways. |
cococandy:Imagine how selfish these men have to be for them to hate a movement that teaches women to leave terrible marriages. I keep saying it that many women are just living in denial about the true nature of males, men innately do not like women and want to keep women subjugated and oppressed but Nigerian women don't understand this. They watch their silly Telemundo series and Korean movies and also read silly romance novels and then they start assuming that men in real life are like their fairy tale men. |
Women in Nigeria have stupid and unrealistic expectations in marriage while the men have selfish and self centered expectations. I can't understand why it's so hard for the average Nigerian man to have sympathy for their women and why it's also hard for the mumu women to stop valuing marriage so much and stop placing the men on pedestals and simply realize that their men hate them. I don't even pity the jarus or whatever he calls himself. Let him cook, I don't pity selfish self centered men at all. Disregarding the feelings and emotional wellbeing of his wife of 14 years just because he has made money and so wants to taste a newer, younger woman. If a woman divorces her poor husband after she becomes rich she would be called all sorts of names even though she is well within her rights to leave the marriage whenever she feels like. I don't pity him. Serves him right. |
blaise26abj:Haaa! God bless you for saying this oo, to see a Nigerian man saying its better to leave a cheating husband is something rare. God bless you real good. |
Proserpina:Honestly, their selfishness will never cease to amaze me. I only wish women will start having the strength to leave philandering men in droves so these men can learn to behave. Nigerian women enable their husband's bad behaviors too much, it's annoying. |
