THE Nigerian Army yes­terday said it has cleared Improvised Explosive Devises (IEDs) planted by Boko Haram terrorists on the Damaturu/Yobe road.

Director of Army Pub­lic Relations, Colonel Sani Usman, who made this known, said a team of Nigerian Army cleared the mines and other with support from the Nigeria Police and the local vigi­lance group.

Colonel Usman, in a statement, said four IEDs planted by the terrorists were successfully deto­nated.

He advised motorists, travellers and members of the public, who had hith­erto deserted the route be­cause of the mines planted by the insurgents to com­mence using the road as adequate security had been provided.

The statement further advised members of the public to be security con­scious and report any suspected persons and movements to the security agencies.

The statement made available to Daily Sun in Abuja, read in part: “Please inform members of the public that Dama­turu-Biu Road has been cleared of mines by a team of Nigerian Army Special Forces, Explosives Ordi­nance Devices with sup­port from Nigeria Police and local vigilantes.

“During the painstak­ing and thorough opera­tion, four Improvised Ex­plosives Devices (IEDs) planted by suspected Boko Haram terrorists were discovered and suc­cessfully detonated. Heard from a lot of people this evening that a man on a horse was sighted u the clouds in Lagos, news is everywhere.. that it was formed by the cloud.

Just like on a normal settings where we have different organizations, then there is always an odd man out, those that will betray others or even rat out on secrets that can bring down an entire empire. In the bible, Judas performed his own duty too. Colleagues do it to others even most of these bank robberies are part of it.
Now I have often wondered why there has never been a leakage or information coming from anyone from inside the sect at least to foil down all these incessant attacks. Don't they at least listen to news? Someone among them has to have conscience in order to help stop this bloodbaths. How on earth van this stop if someone among them that is tired of killing doesn't come up to give out the root of this course. I pray for our country to return to the peaceful correlated nation it once was.

Very clear case.You saw him and also picked the slippers he left behind as an evidence.Too, he was washing cloth outside and ran away and left the cloths he was washing.

If you still want to reconfirm from those he stays with, keep the slippers and wait for them to come back.When you see any of them, ask them if the slippers belongs to them and if they confirm it, tell them of what happened by putting it straight to them that you saw the boy and not that you picked the slippers.

Do not just say you just picked the slippers.Put it straight to them that you saw him ran out of the house leaving his slippers.Ask him his reasons for abandoning the cloths he was washing.

Op, for me, immediately I picked up the slippers, I would have hidden somewhere waiting to see him return to the compound to know if he would be having any slippers on with him before confronting him by asking him straight why he came into your house and was ransacking the house.

I did not say that I didn't see him, just his back and when he ran out, I even shouted his name. Its him Shaa because this afternoon I saw him and told him that I will show him never to mess with me next time, this night I went to their house only to be told that he has packed his things and gone back to his parent's house.

Adam we are not fighting naa, this is a neighbor not an outsider, compound issue is always different.. the guys he lives with are not touts but peaceful though wen it comes to something like this, I don't know what their reaction will be though if u see them having issues like this with people, u won't vouch for them. Hmnn, you have to handle this case with wisdom o. Ok, call him and tell him you saw him in your house. Make it clear that you have reported the case to a police friend and that you believe he is too young to suffer and you want to give him a second chance that is why he has not been arrested. Tell him that if anything of such happens again, he will be arested. Try not to fight with them o. Abeg, these days people just kill others for #20 change dont fight with them.

wow!! What an advice!! Thanks delish.. maybe I should do that, even sometime last two weeks, he helped us discard our refuse. Thus us really very annoying, what if he had stolen my cousin's new house electronics that was just bought because the girl has gotten her own apartment, furnished it just for her to carry everything from here to her place? And what if no one was in the house? Where I wan get money buy new plasma, Ac and the rest of them, he may even have left those and carried her home theater hmmm.. maybe talks in not enough, I am really just vexed so much.

not with his parents, stays with two guys that I can't give account of their goings and comings.

I came back from work last week Friday and a cousin of our staying with us for close to two months now complained to me that she came in from work and noticed that someone entered our house and ransacked everywhere including their bags. (She shares room with my sister and they use only one key but I have mine and also locks my room before leaving the house) they have a spot for dropping the key for each either outside our door. I doubted her because I have never noticed such before or maybe because I do lock my own room always, but after everything, we waved it though they always complain of missing money but not so sure of it.
This morning, barely 45 minutes ago, I was just in my room (didn't go for work, not strong) and it was barely five minutes everybody left the house, I heard someone opening our house entrance door and protector, I thought any of them forgot something and I never minded. The person opened our sitting room door freely and entered. (My room door is connected directly to the sitting room) I shifted my room cotton and saw this boy, very tall but about 17 years old walking up and down the sitting room, at first I thought he came in with any of my sisters because I heard their room door opening and closing. I called out to either of them but no one answered, hmm! That was when it occurred to me that this may be the same case of last week and the next thing I shouted was "who is that?" I rushed up from the bed and even as I was getting up, I heard him rushing out closing all the doors after him, before I could open the doors and get to the corridor leading out, the guy has abscounded though he left his pam slippers in our house.
I ran outside and saw no one, then went into the boy's quarter's(which is very large with many tenants) I investigated from neighbours and asked after that guy because something kept telling me that something is fishy about him, they said he was washing clothes just now and the clothes were still there unfinished but he was no where to be found. I brought out the slippers and noticed it was wet from the washing water I guess, I asked of the clothes he was putting on and it was the exact cloth i saw him on because I only saw his back then, I have called my sister to ask her first who she thinks can do such thing before telling her what happened, she said its this same boy.
I don't know how i should handle this, should I call police for him? Because that's the only solution in my head now besides, that slippers belongs to him. Pls how do I handle this matter now?
