Thank God with me for his awesomeness!
My friend called me now to break the news that his wife just delivered of bouncing baby twins.. their first child is a
baby girl
2nd : twins; two boys
3rd : twins; two girls
Today and 4th : twins ; a boy and a girl.
All delivered without surgery or compilations, I told him "e don do naa papa ejima habaa!! Na football team?" I thank God for their safe delivery.

So awesome.. God is a genius

Is it OK for one to just know of his or her native language and English language? For exposure sake, it should be more than one but what if you don't travel a lot.. I know my native tongue, English and a bit of French. How many languages can u speak and what are they?

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

A woman tells her
husband that she is going to visit her sick mum in
the village. She goes on Friday and returns on
Sunday, with plenty of fruits and food stuff, saying
they are from her mum to the husband and the
children. The husband gently asks her about her
mother's health and how she was doing, to which
she replies that she took her to the hospital in the
village and she is recovering and getting better.

The wife adds that her mother insisted that she must re-
visit the village in a few days, to spend at least a
week with her. "I'm worried about Mama" the wife
crooned, with tears swelling in her eyes. "She'll be
fine, dear." Hubby lovingly replied. The husband
then politely asks her to take the items to the
kitchen. As she enters, she meets her mother
preparing food in the kitchen. Apparently, her mum
came visiting since the Friday that she left home.

You can imagine the plight of this woman. stuck,
shocked, dazed and dumbfounded at the
kitchen
door! whether to go in and drop the items' from
mama', or return to her hubby in the living room!

How would you handle this case? Your humble
opinion is required.

Just passed there now and saw this vehicle burning , don't know if anyone was hurt but I hoped not. Our hard work and achievements shall not go in rubbles and perish.

for real its not super story, I saw when the four of them were brought outside from the cell and were been put in the police vehicle.

A situation arose from a hotel down our street, a guy and three ladies were arrestd by the police 3 days ago. This is what happened;
A customer (a guy) went to lodge for 3 days there, after payment and was given the room key, he went and dropped his stuff and hours later went to the reception and submitted his room key that he wants to go out. Later on, there came a guy and a babe that came to the hotel to have short time lodging. The staff in charge decided to pocket the money and then gave them the key to the same room belonging to the first customer, hoping thast in an hour or two, they will be through and return the key.
The two went into the room and the lady went in to use the rest room, seems the guy saw the bag belonging to the main occupant of the room and decided to search it, he ransacked the bag and found a nylon with several wraps of 1000k denomination, he pocketed it and called the babe to lend him her fone which she extended to him from the rest room, he told her that he wants to. Make some calls but ran out of airtime. He told her that he is going to the bar of the hotel and would be back in minutes, the guy took the babe's gone and absconded from the hotel.
The main occupant came in later and wanted to collect his key from the reception but it wasn't there, like a joke it became an issue because they were not explaining what he understood and he quickly left them and ran to his room and found it locked, he knocked and the lady opened, he quickly rushed to his bag only to realise that his 800k has gone missing.
The guy raised an alarm and the owner of the hotel a woman was alerted, she even complained that they have doing this to her before now but she has not been able to catch them red handed. They were arrested immediately including the girl in the hotel room and she happens not to know the guy, they just met. Yesterday they were charged to court by the hotel owner though she had to pay the man back his 800k. I wonder what will become of them after court case.

I am not really conversant with a lot of places in Lagos except only my route to work from Surulere to Lekki. I normally go to the stadium, enter BRT to TBS, then board a bus to Lekki. Had been doing this for long but today's own, I don't know what happened, maybe because of the the" WIND OF CHANGE THAT BLEW TODAY"
As usual, I entered my BRT, but on our getting to Force road junction that leads to TBS, hmmm there was road blockage everywhere due the hand over celebrations going on with people like "Catholic" so the BRT went on ahead. Then close to climbing the bridge, some people stepped down but due to the fact that few people were still inside with me, I decided that the bus is trying to find a shortcut to go and drop us at TBS. 18 minutes later, I saw a sign post "third mainland bridge or something like that, besides, what kind of shortcut takes up to that long on this fuel scarcity.
Alright, I asked the woman beside me where I can stop to enter bus to Lekki, she looked back at me as if I dey craze then started telling others in the bus whats up in Yoruba dialect so they all made the driver to stop, he stopped at a double crossed bridge and I alighted with their directions on how I will get to Lekki.
Do you people know that when I eventually asked the keke guy where I am he said "Idumota" hiaa!! What the heck am I doing t Idumota?!! Well I ended up going to Obalende to get Lekki bus.. its well with me. Make una thank God with this JJC of 2years in Lagos that doesn't know where Idumota is located and for not falling into the hands of bad people.

It comes out on it's own when it's excess.

Trying to clean it by yourself with the ear buds tends to push the wax more into the ear.

This might damage the ear drum and lead to deafness.

To be candid with you @OP, there is nothing you can do about this. You cannot achieve anything by taking them to court (for what reason?). You have no claim, no matter which lawyer you approach. No reasonable lawyer will listen to you on this. You did not open it; you did not drink it; it has not caused any harm to you. What are you going to claim is the wrong they have done to you. Oh shit! I can't believe I have typed this long epistle addressing this thrash.

Take my advise, take that bottle and hide it away in a very safe location. This is your physical evidence so it's your word against NBC's should push come to shove. Get a good lawyer and approach NBC for a settlement. Do not threaten them with a law suit.

However, since you have gone public (a bit) already with this and coupled with the fact that this is not the first of such cases, they will attempt to call your bluff. Whatever you do, do not go to SON or NAFDAC. NBC have them in it's pocket, you will be shocked.

Your ability to make any money out of this depends entirely on your lawyer's negotiation skills. Again, do not threaten NBC with a law suit.

Pls be careful how you buy frozen foods at this period of fuel scarcity especially the type of stores where you buy them because most of only refridgrates their frozen when customers are around to buy them while the customer is unaware that the meat they are buying has actually rotted and smells.
My sis bought three kilos of over frozen ROTTEN chicken this evening only for us to suspect it when it was cooking and then confirmed it when the food was done so we had to throw every bit of it away as it was very horrible. You can buy a live one and kill it there to be on the safer side and avoid embarrassment OK your visitors. But if you can indirectly percieve it before they cut it for you, good.

We all love our moms so dearly and we all cherish them because there is no one like them, they are the best.
Guys this is specifically for you; we know that everyone always have one flaw or the other but as human beings which we all are, you know the type of mom you have and the type of family you are from so would you HONESTLY ask God to give you a life partner exactly like your mom both in character and otherwise? Or would there be exemptions in relation to comparison to your mom. Honest answers pls.

Its a common knowledge that's husbands and boyfriends during the ecstasy of intimacy utter short sentences of flattery or promissory words even placing vows, though not common with every man. The 50 naira she lost + her 40 naira as change to the customer equals to 90. The issue of the 10naira pen is not conclusive because she did not buy the pen 10naira to be selling it 10 naira because there is gain to that pen so I guess it she bought it about 8naira which is her liquid cash. So I think without talking about her yet to gain "gain" on the pen, she lost almost 100 naira.

My aunt said I should stop cleaning my ear everyday because it's dangerous that I am cleaning off the protective ear oil that protects my inner ear and besides it's not good for general health.
But anytime I insert a cotton bud in my ear and clean, there must be a light coloured oily substance that shows even if it's so fainty to see, I don't feel comfortable staying close to 3 days without cleaning my ear , I don't know if it's ok or really not healthy.

Today is the day that the Lord has made and I am happy and rejoice in it.

Since from my childhood till now, I have been observing that people especially the elderly ones always chastise their children or relations on how they chew gum, If I buy gum and chew, my parents will always say " control the way you chew gum because that is how prostitutes chew gum especially the sound I blow which is what I like about chewing gums.
I also think it's wrong of them because different individuals has different ways of eating and chewing that's why they chew gums the way they do though needs some level of control especially when outside. Have u seen some guys chewing gum? (lol) @ the way the blow it and looks. Do you think that there is any relationship between chewing gum and love peddlers as has been the norm since time immemorial ?

For me, of all my topics, 3 has been able to make front page and I am happy about it considering the fact that that I am not as old as Nairaland as per the time of becoming a member of this great forum.
Some people may have been here over the years but chose not to except to observe the current affairs while some has tried so much but still not gotten there, but I know we shall all get there soon.

its really not the cause if this lamentation but rather I'm irritated and uncomfortable at the direction to which this issue as regards to my post is headed and as a result of that, I resorted to seeking candid advices from some serious minded nairalanders.
