Borrussia:irrespective of the fact that whatever you just stated here now is wrong or right Mr lecturer, I still believe that u displayed a high level of immaturity by posting a useless comment after my post, now go back up and read through and quote me again on what u expect viewers of this thread to derive from your comment. Its not really mandatory that you read it, you could have as well as moved to the next topic right but its OK. Now u analyzed my write up, at least you have proven that you are worth it here whether u insult my post or not. U are highly welcomed. |
Gboliwe:uwc... I never reasoned it at first but how come his brother called him all these while and he kept quiet and still continued lamenting on his missing brother? Why all those stress? And now they have gone neck deep into this and I doubt if the police will easily let that go. |
Borrussia:no I don't expect you to read I, just testing your IQ via how u manage to read essays in exam halls and how you pass your exams but aside that, what prompted you to comment? Is is about 1st to comment or are u an attention seeker? U bring in your juvenile delinquency when important matters are at hand. #leaderoftomorrow# |
My friend called me 5 days back to narrate a serious situation he found himself in, he called me 6 hours after the incident that he has never been in that situation before and needs advice, guidance and anything to help sooth him down. The younger brother to his direct neigbbour was leaving the house that morning (a boy of 19-20 yes of age) he came out and pleaded with him to drop along the road and help him pay some money into someone's account for him @ a bank very close to them by 50naira worth of keke distance. He gave the boy the account details and transport fare which is more than the 50naira (showing gratitude kind of). The elder brother of the boy witnessed everything because he was outside that morning. Till today, the boy is nowhere to be found, his phone has been off, all efforts to find out what happened to him was futile, they even checked at hospitals, mortuaries, etc yet nothing even the money was never paid in. My friend is almost developing high blood pressure because of this as the family of the boy is breathing thunder, fire and brime stone on him. Yesterday, alongside some police officers and his neighbor (the boy's elder bros) they traveled down to Benue State, the boy's state to go look for him and also make police report, now they are back to Abuja. This morning while all were at the station, he called his lawyer who is already aware of the situation. But while the lawyer was on the way to the station, his neighbor took him aside and told him that he wants them to settle this amicably and withdraw the case from the police without any tangible reason, he told the guy to wait for some time until his lawyer arrives. The lawyer arrived and he told the lawyer what that guy said and the lawyer summoned him, I thing he applied psychology on the guy's "sixth sense" because the guy confessed that he got a call only once from his bother and that he is at Lagos now in their relation's house, that he is not with the money and knows nothing about anything. The lawyer later called an officer to relay the issue to him, just minutes ago, without a sign or warning, the police arrested the guy and whisked him away into the cell, including seizing his phones as he had been making some weird kind of calls ever since according to my friend and he was the first to raise alarm on him that his brother is missing coupled with the fact that the. Money is reasonably huge. Now what next? The guy's family are at the station now begging him to pity their brother that they will pay every dime and expenses he made back to him but he said the lawyer told him to go home and allow the guy there for two days, the one in Lagos here has not beeen caught yet.. That's how desperate some people can be, why asking for non police involvement at this late hour? That's it. |
That awkward moment wen the men of Nigerian Police stops u for stop nd search nd collects ur phone and at that moment a text message came reading ''bros abeg buy 1 Ak47 and 4 bullets make we take dy well before we comot tonight'' How do you explain to the police that ur friend meant a voldka (Ak-47) and 4 energy drink (Bullet)? To make matter worse, ur friend's name is Robert and u saved it with ROB1 on ur phone. |
Dyt:oh my!! May God bless you for not judging me and tnx for understanding my feelings here. I am really trying a lot to become a better person. You know, i live alone with her & younger sister by 2 yrs. We live in one of our family houses. You clean up her mess even her friends visits and leaves the house in a real mess especially leaving used pads in careless displays, u do all these things mandatorily because she shows u attitude and u can't stay comfortable without keeping things clean, later it now becomes your permanent job and even when your parents visits, they will still be shouting on you if the house is unkept and when you try to reason with them to also remember that you are the elderly one and must not always be the one to do it, you will receive this statement " you are the elderly one so the cleanliness of the house and protection is your sole responsibility" how would you feel? So that's it but its well. |

I was once a very difficult person in terms of association with people but most of all I find it difficult to let go even after forgiving someone that wronged me. As time passed on, I prayed much about my temperament and with time I noticed that when I'm angry, I no longer break things and throw stuff all over the place, rather I noticed that I always feel intimidated for letting go so I resort to crying so hard behind closed doors. Infact that has been my life so far, always crying bitterly when I forgive and let go. Recently, I had a feud with my sister over domestic work in the house, I have always been the cleaner, sweeperholic, duster, call it anything even from way back and it has earned me a funny titlt from people (no spot no wrinkle) coupled with the fact that I am not a friend making type, novels has always been my companion. Back to the topic, I suddenly started feeling cheated for tidying, cooking & everything so I took it up and it caused us a great misunderstanding and we later stopped talking to each other for almost a month. My dad has made peace between us and I was even the one that has to first apologize just to prove to myself that I am no longer my old self. Weeks has passed and we are good and she is the type that has an over free heart, but somehow deep in my heart, I still feel cheated, intimidated and mad at the world but then I feel good just that i couldnt shake off that feeling of been wronged, been fighting within myself, does it mean I have not forgiven? I shared this just to ease my discomfort and feel light hearted. Don't really know what to do about this. Am I really a very horrible person? |
cozy7:in as much as I am tempted to believe you here, I don't think that could be a concrete reason why. |
"Efforts to reach or contact the DPO for information and confirmation of the reprisal attacks has proved abortive as his cell phones were switched off" Go through most violence incidence posts and topics here on nairaland and you will observe that that is the commonest similarities between them. Are they not the security arm of the nation? Who then do people in case of emergency call since "911" seems like a joke in Nigeria. |
Folakeme:eyaa! Must u put it that way? Now u've got my emotions feeling bad for killing them. I don't kill rats, if i happen to catch any alive, one look into their eyes, I start feeling pity then release them to the streets. |
I have tried to understand why they face upwards when dead.. when u spray your house with anti pests control insecticides, the following morning you wake up to see all of them lying on their backs facing up, what do u think could be the reason for that? |
My friend and neighbour here.. she is an orphan, the last born and d only daughter with two brothers all very young. They were dispersed to different families at tender ages. Currently the boys are under apprenticeship and are living families their master's familes. They had less caring relatives and no one took her in. She stayed with one of her brothers at the boys quarter apartment of his master's house in PortHacourt while she she works in a salon down their street. One fateful day, a guy walked into their salon with his girlfriend to make her hair. He waited on her till she was done ranging from eyelashes to pedicure. This girl was running errands here and there for them throughout till they left. Don't know how it happened but the guy picked interest in her despite her shabby clothes and unkept looks. one thing led to another, he became a regular visitor to the salon and one and half year later, he impregnated her and took her in to his home here in Lagos. (This lady was born April 1994 and a very beautiful damsel.. too pretty) Fast forwarded to 3 years back, I noticed the ill treatment she gets from her boyfriend's sisters living with her became unbearable, the guy is doing well. But this girl is too down to earth, doing all the house chores, cleaning and anything work in that house she does it. Yet she doesn't complain and I noticed the guy was never aware of those things but she chose not to let him know. I saw her crying one day in front of their house and I brought her inside our house and attended to her. From that day I took her in as a junior sister, introduced her to my parents and siblings and they all accepted her, here everybody minds their businesses that's why it seemed no one cares. The guy later caught his sisters gang beating her one day and drove them back to their family house so he was alone with her but his own attitude was not helping matter. She delivered of a baby girl though the guy was in Ghana then so I stayed with her till she delivered. I later traveled out of Lagos for a supervisory job which took me close to 2 years before I came back. Though we were communicating and my siblings still draws her closer to them. On coming back to Lagos I saw a heavily pregnant girl due for delivery to her 2nd baby, we later talked and I found out that the guy cheats on her, pick quarrels with her, especially calling her illiterate and all that. I indirectly approached him on why his wife has not started school, he jokingly told me that she will open eyes and start challenging him and other guys will take her from him, I asked him to start up something for her then and he said that it won't happen that he will be exposing her to unusual friends and exposures that he will take care of her. I gave up because it was never my business in the first place. She delivered a very cute daughter that resembles her so much. Again her man was in Ghana because he shuttles from Ghana to Nigeria via his business. I stayed with her even in the delivery room till she put to birth. He showed displeasure because it was a girl instead of a boy, he even went to another hospital that week to make enquiry on advice on what to do for his next child to be a boy. Things became obviously wrong to the extent of neigbours wanted to gang up on him.. low battery, give me hours to come back and conclude this, she wants this that's why I am posting this tnx. This girl till today has suffered to many abuses from him and surprisingly, no relative has come asking for their daughter till today, her brothers are helpless too. Be back. |
stebell:thanks guru, expected u glanced through the previous posts before yours but u didn't. Thought u would have written out the appropriate word to the wrong word but you didn't. So how do I learn my lesson and correct myself as u did not correct me here? |
economia:I know, my bad.. noticed that mistake immediately I submitted it,couldn't take it back. I already expected this.. thanks full time. |
Its OK to sample Internet or forum's imaginary votes and polls but the reality of it is the most important. You guys are still here airing your views of today's election and other things but you have not gone out this morning to cast your votes.. the Lagosians here, drop your phones and laptops and go out and vote. If you are asked to display your PVC here now, nobody would because they don't even have. Towards evening, come back and we talk about your experiences at the polling units. Me too, am out... |
Sagamite:been sarcastic in your choice of words on op, the author or Sagamite is totally uncalled for, u are not the only one that antagonized this write up. U don't need to drive your message home by using those fowl languages. No one is a fool because you may never know the level of your own foolishness in the sight of those you don't know. Even if you want to make it clear that you dont join the crowd, then man up to it. Those choice of words won't earn you respect here with close to 40,000 viewers or you could as well as have cursed under your breath and desisted from posting anything at all. In regards to the topic at hand, I charge you to challenge Sagamite and the author but you have to create your own thread for it in order to be so obvious to viewers, here is too hidden. No disrespect sir thanks. |

Happy Easter celebrations pals.. My family members are strong willed and bold in everything worth doing and defending, we are very united. My brothers gyms a lot and are well structured and built. But after all said and done, no single soul in that house can be able to slaughter a chicken talk more of a goat. Other families are busy buying theirs and preparing, we are buying frozen ones, not that its the same thing but that feeling of raising a knife on them while they stare at you makes me weak to my knees. My heartbeat increases badly and b4 you know it, tears will drop, we don't even buy to give anyone to kill for us. Imagine my brothers not having the mind to kill a fowl, a close friend of mine said it could mean a sign of weakness but I strongly disagree. It happens to some people naturally or do u guys disagree with me? Do u have the liver to kill a domestic animal for food?? |
njuwo:na only chicken u want? All the chicken you have consumed since January reach now never do u. I for give u holy communion |
njuwo:lol @ it will be time to go home. Tnx friend. Happy Easter |

wheesin:ok .. sorry, my bad |
njuwo:what a reasonable response hmm.. I feel u but can u actually forget personally? Yea u made a remarkable statement, about having been in a relationship and then fotgot ever meeting me. The major topic that led to that heat of an argument I remember clearly is that his first approach to me was all about " I need a serious relationship because I want to get married" pls dear what kind of technique is that? On our meeting, I brought up that subject to him that it turns genuine women off BC not every babe u meet is interested in marriage talk and not every babe u meet is worthy of u but bcs of the term "marriage" they turn to pretentious bi***ches just to trap you down. The guy thinks it is not proper to withhold the information from a girl he likes, I told him that most babes sees it as a means of u getting them easily but he opposed me. That's how we argued and argued till I angrily walked out on him. Even now, he has said it again to me that he needs a relationship for marriage from me that so shall we meet? Does he go about telling all the babes he meets that? |
njuwo:can't help laughing, u said its the wind of change.. lol. The thing actually is that I asked him if he has seen me before, he said :no'. The only physical change on me is that I reduced a lot in weight because of my swim training, got a forthcoming swimming competition, aside that, my face and looks still hasn't changed. Its all good. |
wheesin:that's because u are too dumb to notice the tension and expensive rift between us since this topic. Should I go on Ok.. I am dating other guys while I have kids because I choose t cheat on my husband for no good reason. |
wheesin:good that's better dear. Uwc |
Speaking a about bleaching, the most expensive natural physical gift I ever had is my deep chocolate skinned colour. That he couldn't recognize me is not my fault. |
