@Silvamania @lentomac For courses that involve direct patient care, they usually require either CPR + AED certificate, first aid or a combination. But it will be stated clearly in the admission requirements. lentomac: Okay
I don't know if all Health Science programs requires a Certification, by the way, aside the persons degree as a criteria for admission, he/she can visit the program website of the schools and check if a Certification as an Admission Requirement is needed to apply for this programs.
Alternatively he/she should mail the Program Coordinator or international dept. of that school for more enquiries.
From a post made by Chocs, I noticed she's a medical doctor, She might be able to help you on this based on her Medical/Health Line experience |

@foje JustMellow: Hello Englois,
You can use it. However, ensure every details like the TRF number, Date, Details of the Testing Body and whatnots on your profile to be clearly visible.
The test result is always subject to verification whether or not is the hard or soft copy.
Best of Luck |

foje @justmellow gave a response to this question previously. I’ll tag you in it Cheers foje: Able house, pls I need your support and advise on this. I registered for ielts after submitting my documents because when I joined this thread my eyes became opened to alot of things especially when I saw people getting a request to do NSE. So NSE came for me and luckily IELTS was done about a week b4 d request. Now the challenge is I know my score cos its can be seen online but I don't have the hardcopy. I did the regular test not the online test and I have been calling British Council since last Yr ending when results were released bur to no avail. So since 4th(monday), I have been engaging them on discussions on how to get this document so I can upload for the NSE, they keep telling me it has not been dispatched and my deadline is very close. Pls what do u advise I do? |

godguy If you have better home ties and feel you don’t need a study leave letter, that should work. I don’t have any personal experience with it but I’ve seen many people get study leave letters before applying for their permit. They get it in addition to introduction letters. godguy: if you have study leave approval and you later had a change of plan maybe due to visa processing time or other factors, that will be an issue becuase most study leave are without pay and has maximum duration.
I feel requesting for letter of introduction from HR is safer for an employee |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Chocs(f): 9:10am On Jan 05, 2021 |
godguy Many companies issue it ahead of time. It helps with visa applications. People claim that they’ll be returning to their job after the completion of their studies and some of letters also state that. So it serves as a strong home tie. Cheers godguy: im confused about study leave approval when you have not yet gotten your visa. |

NSE19 I consider 24 young. I have some tips, if you’re interested, you can send me a PM and I’ll explain Cheers NSE19: Hi,
I have a job but I can't get a letter from HR cos it'd raise questions and I'm not even qualified for study leave.
I think I'd have to increase my engagement in my community and volunteering.
My dad is not my major sponsor. It is my aunty.
24 can pass off as young yes? Lol |

Lol! You’ve clearly not been following the thread, you just came in at a point and jumped in to give wrong information. Lentomac was asking about the departure card because he’s obviously not traveling to Asia and THIS THREAD IS FOR CANADA. He got the correct answer and was satisfied. You can keep hurling insults, you can insult everything but not my brain cells. They function very well, I wouldn’t be where I am today without good eyes and brain cells ( very important for medical doctors and researchers ) You’re just a terrible human being who looks down on everyone, after insulting Nigerian doctors, it’s now nurses. Lol! You’ll be alright. The fact that ICVP is referred to as yellow card does not make it the one lentomac was asking about. And does not make it the only card referred to as yellow card. If you’re wise you’ll know that “context” is important in most issues in life. I wish you peace and happiness with yourself so you stop spilling bile everywhere you go. Have a good day. deepwater: the problem here is that your brain cells are not actually coordinating with what your eyes are seeing
for sake of good order look at the OP initial question
the question was simple, What does YELLOW CARD means?
you went ahead to upload what i would rather call an academic poison - a departure card!!!! My dear, you uploaded a departure card because it is yellow in color and not because it means a YELLOW CARD. you brain cells could not coordinate again as the eyes started seeing yellow everywhere!
the OP never asked if that was the yellow card people going to canada fills. S/He said
See my dear, your Nigerian passport being green in color doesnt make it a GREEN CARD!
I hope you see how u misfired?
Nurse eliza wey dey form doctor |

NSE19 Do you have a job where you can get a study leave letter from? That’s a good home tie too Any community involvement? Volunteer work? Religious commitments? Is your dad your sponsor? You can include the docs for his land. Property belonging to your parent counts as well especially if you’re young. Best wishes NSE19: Good evening NLs! Trust we had a good day! For those waiting for their good news, best believe it'd come knocking.
I have a quick question. How do I show times to home country?
My dad has 2 properties but he only has papers for 1. How do I prove that it's a tie? Also, does the property have to be in my name?
For my application the only thing that bothers me is the ties to home country. |

deepwater Is that the yellow card people fill in when traveling to Canada? If no, please stop typing your wrong information. The question clearly asked about the yellow card people traveling to Canada fill in (ps: I’m aware it’s not for Canada alone but for every departure before you come for me) Replying you is killing my brain cells. I’m only replying you to make sure you don’t confuse people but at this point I think people should have gotten the right info so I’m done. For newbies or people preparing to fly please as at the time of writing this post, a yellow fever vaccination card or an international certificate of vaccination is not needed when traveling to Canada from Nigeria. The “yellow card” people have been talking of in their landing story is the immigration departure card which you would be given at the airport to fill in (see picture below)Have a great day deepwater: visit

adeniyi3971 I’m pretty sure no one will care about the religion. You can use him. He needs to write a good sponsorship letter and explain why he’s choosing to sponsor you. You can strengthen your application if he shows some commitment to you. Like paying your tuition or sending you the 10k cad for living expenses (attach proof to your application). That way they’ll be convinced he’s serious about sponsoring you. Cheers adeniyi3971: Please guys can I use my uncle from mother side as my sponsor, he doesn’t bear the same surname with my mother and he’s a Muslim! Please I need y’all contribution cos that the only thing I think I need clarification on! |

Oh dear! Sorry you can’t get to me lol! My training was not in Nigeria. And even if it were, that would be an honour. I’m licensed to practice in 2 EU countries and in Nigeria (very proud of it). Shame on you for looking down on Nigerian-trained medical doctors. Keep trolling yourself. You’ve been corrected by several people but you’re still sticking to your wrong information, only the good lord can save you. They are all referred to as yellow card as I stated previously but they are different. Keep being ignorant. deepwater: A medical doctor who doesn't know what a yellow card looks like and the content therein
I shouldn't expect more from a Nigerian medical doctor sha. |

nycdude You’re allowed to sponsor her even if you’re not in Nigeria. Attach your employment/business docs, payslips, bank statement and sponsorship letter. If she’s mature, she should make sure her home ties are on point. Many people have done it and gotten approvals. Best wishes nycdude: Hi All,
Question: I live in the USA and I want to sponsor my sister to study in Canada. Can I do that or must the sponsor be someone living in Nigeria?
I appreciate it if anyone will answer my question.

Deep waters You’re really talking off point. This will be my last response to you. I’ll rather use my time to assist people and give them ACCURATE information. This is a forum for Canada. Why will you be giving info for an Asian country? @Lentomac asked specifically about those traveling to Canada. I do not care about your flyer miles. I don’t need to ask a friend or google about a yellow card as I am a medical doctor and also well traveled. Learn to read and understand before you allow your hand type. Take your silly pride and wrong information elsewhere. We don’t do that here. deepwater: My dear calm down.... I never said the ICVP is required for canada. I said that thing u uploaded is NEVER called a yellow card. You uploaded a departure card.
A departure card is yellow in colour, the ICVP which is the actual yellow card (a two page little book before the introductionof the e-yellow card) is also yellow in colour. You are missing the terminology already.
The yellow card is your property, you keep it with your passport until its expired. The departure card is not your property but to be submitted before boarding.
Even if u traveled this morning, it doesn't change anything. Deepwater is an emirate card holder with over 310,000 tier miles already (platinum)....forget story abeg.
Be open to learn new things.
A simple google search or ask a friend would save your the trouble. God help you on your next flight from Nigeria to any Asian country and you show them only departure card at final gate.....u go see how the plane go take fly comot for your front. |

Lol! You are very funny @deepwater You shouldn’t be talking of IELTS because you’re clearly in the wrong!!!! The person asked on a forum for Canadian study permit. He was also clearly referring to those who travelled to Canada recently. Please don’t come here to confuse people abeg. Maybe you should read properly before commenting next time and don’t be quick to label things false/negative. Cheers deepwater: Sometime I wonder how people take they pass IELTS Please show me where i said it is for canada.
Ignorance is bliss indeed! |

Deepwater YOU ARE VERY WRONG. A yellow fever vaccination card or even the ICVP is not required for Canada. The yellow card you get is an immigration card that needs to be filled in and submitted before you board your flight. The names are similar but they’re two different things. Please do not be quick to call an information you’re not sure about wrong. I travelled a few weeks ago and I know what I’m saying. People rely heavily on info from this thread, if you’re not sure of something, don’t share it please. Thank you Happy New Year and best wishes deepwater: Negative that is not yellow card!
The International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP) is known as Yellow card |

tracy0803409 I’m addition to the rich contribution from @lentomac Yes, you can go with your 2 year old son. You’ll need to show funds for him and also plans you’ve made for him to be taken care of. Eg daycare applications for him If you search the thread you’ll see stories from people who did it and were successful. Best wishes lentomac: Yes you can use it
Apart from your Husband and Kids as ties to your home country - Landed Properties - Parents - Siblings - Your Job in Nigeria - Positions (e.g Church Youth Leader etc.)
are good Hometies
Since you are married , your Husband and Kid is a strong tie to your home country
To whether your Son (less than two ) can go with you or not, that I can't say, but I feel it's possible
A married Applicant with a kid at that Age range and was successful with her Visa would be able to answer this question
Gurus too can help |

ConradAce1 It will still not be considered as POF. POF must be readily available money. For instance, you cannot attach a property worth 50 million Naira and not attach a bank statement with adequate money to cover your tuition and LE. You’ll still be rejected. Cheers ConradAce1: I think it goes both ways; 1. Finances: that landed property is worth this said amount... In case of financial constraints while studying, it can be sold to meet up.
2 Home ties: if the said property is own by you or gifted, shows would return to have what you studied in CA installed on that land. Example farming and all. Again, could be a house gifted to you. Shows you will established back home and there is no need for you wanting to remain there.
So in all, in deeds how it’s outline in your SOP |

Hassan19 There is nothing confusing. Did you read the instructions on your GC account? They stated it clearly that when applying online you don’t need to sign because a signature (given by writing your full name) will be requested from you, shortly before you submit your application after uploading all your docs. You can write your full name if you want but it is not required. Cheers Hassan19: Another person said I should not sign I'm confused, do you mean I should just input my full names? |

Hassan19 You do not need to sign any form if you’re applying online (it’s stated on your portal) At the end of your application, before you submit it, you’ll give a signature (by writing your full name) to cover for all the forms you’re submitting. The only required thing is to validate your forms that have validation option button at the top/bottom. Best wishes Hassan19: Good morning house, please how do I sign on this imm1294e form.
