Hello, When you read the course details on the institution’s website, it will be stated there. Thesis based master’s have a thesis part of the program. So you would carry out research and produce a thesis. Course based do not end with a thesis, you might round up with a short paper, a capstone project or something of that nature. You can also start gathering all your required documents, scanning them and saving them to your computer. Required documents can be seen on page 1 of this thread. Hello, Paying your tuition is good. As it assures the visa officer that the money is available, but it does not guarantee that you’ll get the visa. Therefore, you should find out from your school what the refund policy for tuition is, in the case of a visa refusal. Once you find that out and the policy guarantees full refund, you can pay the tuition and attach the receipt to your visa application. All the best Hassan19: |

Most tickets expire in 1 year, so it might be pointless. Except you have plans of using it. All the people I know used a one way ticket and had no problem. Eilenora: |

One can still do an upfront medical after the submission of an application. After doing the exam, the slip can be sent to IRCC via webform and email. Qudkom: 1 Like |

Your passport is still with the VAC. When it has been stamped, you’ll see that it has been returned back to VFS. VFS will then hand it over to the courier. Lekiboboe: |

Hello everyone, Please I would like to know about the letter required from FRSC to get exemptions in some areas when applying for a driving license in Canada. Does FRSC have a template for this? If no, please what should the letter contain? Is there any other thing I’ll need to get asides this letter? Thanks in advance |

Hello dannybomb, Just like @lekkiboboe said, To apply for your Canadian visa, you need to show your 1 year tuition and 10,000 cad for upkeep. 10,000 cad alone is 3 million Naira. Your tuition for a year would be 10,000 cad or more (so budget should be 3 million and up for 1 year tuition) When you add both of them, that’s 6 million. So the minimum amount you should have is 6 million. The tuition can even be more depending on your school. And your sponsor cannot have 6 million exactly, because it’s not possible for him to give you all his money. So he should have way above what you need. The canadaian journey is expensive. If you’re looking for something more affordable, check Europe. All the best dannybomb: |

Hello Nory01, All the questions you asked have been answered previously. Please read the thread from page one, you’ll get a more detailed answer than anyone can give you. To answer your questions briefly, 1) a master’s is higher than a PGD so it’s not a career progression. Although some people have been able to convince the visa officer and got their visa. If you have a strong reason for going for PGD, you can. Otherwise, you can opt for a PHD 2) sponsor needs to give you a sponsorship letter, 4-6 months bank statement, proof of their employment (employment letter, letter of introduction, payslips, if they’re into business then their business registration documents), assets like landed property documents 3) if you go to page 1 of this thread (you can find the page numbers at the bottom of this page) you’ll see a full list of required documents. Some of them are: International passport Letter of acceptance from a Canadian institution Passport photograph according to the Canadian specification Proof of funds (sponsors documents will fall here, and yours if you have, paid tuition receipt, anything showing your financial capability) Medical examination will be required Client information (where you attach your statement of purpose, previous certificates, transcripts and any extra document you want to attach) Best wishes Nory01: |

Hello achu442, When applying for your visa you need to show at least 1 year tuition and 10,000 cad for upkeep. The 10,000 cad is already 3 million. Therefore, 3 million is not enough. achu442: 1 Like |

Hello Dameelee, My advice for you is to wait till you get your passport back, there’s no certainty of when your passport would be back. The disadvantage of this is that ticket prices are rising. But if you’re a risk taker, you can take the risk. Best wishes Dameelee: 1 Like |

Hello adeenzo, As you’ve seen from others on the group, there is no “normal.” So I can’t really tell you if it’s normal or not. Only your gcms notes can reveal that. Best wishes adeenzo: 1 Like |

Hello em3kae88, I did not find your explanation convincing enough but I’m not a visa officer. As for my suggestion; I’m not a risk taker, so I would always go for safe options for myself but the final decision is in your hands. All the best em3kae88: |

Hello Jesusgirlgirl, A 1 year course would get you a 1 year post graduation work permit(PGWP). And a 2 year course would get you 2-3 years post graduation work permit. If you are thinking of applying for PR, you need to consider the length of your PGWP. Would 1 year be enough to raise your points to the cutoff? It depends on the individual and their profile. If you already have work experience, 1 year PGWP might be enough. Best wishes Jesusgirlgirl: |
