Hello Francisgodstime, You can go to many European countries. Example Romania, Serbia, Estonia, Lithuania. But getting a permanent stay in most of them takes a long long time except if you go the marriage route. Jobs are also not easy to find (language barrier and not many jobs are available especially to foreigners) and the salary is generally not high. So you need to think about it before traveling. Are you sure you need a test? What airline are you flying with? UBCcookies: |
Hello tellalexander, You’re on the wrong thread. This thread is for Canada study permit/visa. Yes, you can pay using what is called Form A. Visit your bank branch with your university details, they’ll do it for you. You would need the following: Requirement for Foreign School Fees payment -Applicant must be account holder of the bank he/she is requesting from -School admission letter must be provided. -Bank details of Institution or school to be provided. -Account must be funded to cover Naira equivalent of requested amount. -Authority to debit. A written instruction to the bank to debit your account. -Duly completed Form A application form -Applicant must possess valid Nigerian International Passport or Foreign passport with Nigeria as place of birth. A copy of the biodata page of the passport to be submitted for processing of the request. -Applicant must possess Valid Visa Before covid, it used to take about a week for the school to get tuition. Now it will take longer, especially with the Dollar scarcity. It can take 3 weeks or more. If you are specific about what country the Uni is in, that would be good. If you’re going for a first degree and you submitted only WAEC to the university that gave you the admission, I don’t see why they’ll need any documents from your current Uni. If you can share what country it is, I might be able to help better. You can send me a private message so we can chat via email if you would like more help. Best wishes tellalexander: |
Hello UBCcookies, I think there’s only 1 lab in delta with covid testing (delta mobile laboratory associated with Irrua specialist) it’s a government one so I don’t know if they do tests privately or just for suspected cases. If you know anyone, you can ask them. Alternatively, if your flight is from Lagos, Abuja or the likes, you can travel earlier and get the test done. There are many private labs. Hello ayobami2001, You are not allowed to quarantine in a shared living space. An Airbnb which accommodates 1 person only might accept you. Contact the host and tell them it’s for self isolation before you proceed to book. Best wishes Ayobami2001: |
Hello oyinlove15 I gave the info below to help those who want to do upfront medical (medical before it’s requested by IRCC) A passed upfront medical never guarantees an approval. People just do it to save time. oyinlove15: |
Hello adeniyi, It depends on the individual. If the person has work experience already (3 years or more) and a good Ielts score, and just needs a Canadian degree to boost their score to get to the cut off, then 1 year is enough. Use the CRS score tool online to simulate your score and see what you need to get to the cut off. That will determine how much time you need post graduation. Best wishes adeniyi3971: |
Hello Ibrahim, It’s not possible to edit an already submitted application. Any changes to your application has to be sent to IRCC via webform and/or email. ibrahim: |

Hello Jidex, Money that’s available in your account is preferred to fixed deposit. You can break it and transfer it to your account. Attach the fixed deposit certificate and proof of the transfer and highlight it in your application. Best wishes Jideks: |

Hello fixoo, Welcome, you’re in the right place at the right time. You can choose to do your visa application yourself. Everything information you need is available on this thread. You just have to dedicate time to reading and assimilating it. While reading, if you have any questions, you can ask on the thread and you will get answers. At the bottom of this page, you’ll see numbers, if you click on page 1, it takes you to the first page of this thread. The list of documents you need and the right place to upload them are stated there, you can also read through the whole thread to learn from people's experiences and also see answers to questions asked by others. In summary, below are the requirements for a study permit/visa. Valid International passport Digital passport photograph (according to the specification given) Letter of acceptance (admission letter) Medical examination (if required, depends on what country you are in) Biometrics - finger print and photo capturing (you will get an email about 24 hours after your application, asking you to go for it) Home ties - things that can compel you to return back to your country after studies (you need to show them you will return even if you don’t plan to) example landed properties, stable job, business documents Proof of funds- bank statement with adequate money, and proving the source of the income. For example if you are employed you should include payslips, letter of employment etc. If you are an entrepreneur, you should include your business registration documents, tax clearance certificate and the likes. Or that of your sponsor if you’re using a sponsor. Sponsorship letter from sponsor too if you’re using a sponsor. Client information a.k.a Other documents: any other thing you feel might increase your chances of getting the document. Previous awards, statement of purpose/letter of explanation, pension statement if you have, transcripts, degree certificate etc Home tie related documents are also uploaded under client information. Your statement of purpose/letter of explanation is an official letter you write to the visa officer, you’re basically selling yourself, telling them why you want to study in Canada and why you’re a good match for it. More info about it can be found on page 1. Best wishes fixoo: |
Hello oluwatosin12345, Diploma is a NO as it won’t show any academic progression. They need to go for something higher than a BSc. If the person has a 2.2 or 3rd class BSc, Post graduate diploma or post graduate certificate is the way If the person has a first class, 2.1, or first class/2.1 average in the last 2 years of their BSc they can go for an MSc. Best wishes oluwatosin12345: |
Hello Semisolasola, You can renew your passport before applying. Abuja headquarters can renew your passport even if you have 6 months or more left on it. You just have to write a letter stating why you want to renew before time with evidence (eg admission letter). Best wishes Semisolasola: |
Hello papapa1234, Yes, you can Papapa1234: |
Hello Celoexpress, It is not too late. You can send it via webform with a short explanation. Best wishes Celoexpress: |
Hello Jjessicachizoba, Don’t start your application on a bad note. If they find out you lied, you’re looking at a 5 year ban. Also note that if you decide to conceal your Bsc and apply for another Bsc you have to explain what you have been doing since you finished secondary school with proof! You said you have a 2.1, you have a great shot at a Master’s. And PR (permanent residence) after the master’s. Take your time and read this thread from the beginning, it has everything you need for a successful master’s and even visa application. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask on the group. The “Easy way” is not always the best way. Be wary of agents, not all of them know what they’re doing. All the best Jjessicachizoba: |
Hello ehiremen2002, Sorry to hear about your refusal. From your notes, I can see two major problems 1. The additional support of the uncle comes with no support for his income and obligations and it appears any support provided by him will be a major hit to his savings 2. The family income and savings are low and appear to fully exhausted to meet the first year of tuition For point number 1 What documents did you submit? From this notes, you might not have adequately shown your sponsor’s source of income. Did you submit payslips? Letter of introduction from employer? Business documents, tax clearance certificate of your sponsor? You need to adequately show your sponsor’s source of income. Also they talked about his obligations, he needs to state his dependents (children) and show that the money he has can take care of them and you as well with proof. They expect an elderly person to also have his own family responsibilities. I’ll advice your sponsor to increase his bank balance It is quite low Your sponsor can show commitment to the cause by paying your tuition and also transferring some money to you (for example the 10k cad living expense) and this should be stated in your application As for point number 2 Paying full or part tuition will help a lot (please confirm the refund policy of the institution before paying) Another alternative is looking for a school with less tuition I noticed you have some fixed deposit, it is advisable to break it and transfer it to your account, attach the certificate and proof of transfer to show the source of the money. Available cash is preferred to fixed deposit. For travel history, if you work on all the above, you can write in your SOP that you have had no reason to travel previously until now and that should not be used against you. I wish you all the best with your next application. ehiremen2002: |

Hello Olasubomy, Your surest answer would be from the airline. Call them or send them an email with your route (departure country, destination country and any transit country) and ask if you require a test. I found the following email addresses, you can search for more. ekuae@emirates.com emirates-on-line@emirates.com ekuk@emirates.com Best wishes olasubomy: |
Hello Pseermuhel, If I were you, I would print this email conversation with my Uni and have it handy with my letter of acceptance (admission letter). I used Ethiopian airline and I wasn’t asked for enrollment letter. Although, I know it could be different for different people. If your school already said you can’t get one, then there’s not much you can do. Best wishes Pseermuhel: |
COVID-19 test is not required. You only need your ArriveCAN receipt. The receipt you get after submitting your details via the ArriveCAN app/website. Best wishes Pseermuhel: |
Hello, Send the airline an email stating your travel route (departure country, destination country and any transit country) and ask them if you require a test. You can use google to find their email address or check your flight ticket. Best wishes ericksen: |

Hello, I don’t think anyone can accurately predict your chances. If you believe you can convince the VO why pgcert is the way to go, you can go ahead. I don’t know anything about the college. Hopefully someone in the house can offer a more useful advice. @frankrobbn1 @justmellow @lekkiboboe and others Best wishes mrsmideP: |
Generally, Airbnb would be more expensive if used for long term accommodation. You can confirm by checking the monthly rental average in the city and comparing it to 30days fees for Airbnb. Best wishes Godsblessings: |
Up to 30 days is considered current. Babyboy2020: |
