Good morning everyone,

The first cult in Nigeria is the Pirate. A lot get by us as English is borrowed or certain words have us dazed that we forget their meaning. Pirates mean thieves at sea & PC ideology is based on sea piracy.

Pirates are depicted as heroes only in books & movies; they're mere criminals. Piracy is a crime worldwide even till this day.

Pirates, like Bucaneers, like Vikings historically are not an ethnic group or tribe! They're a group of criminals - just like a gang of robbers! All are named after their crime. Reseach will show you.

These cults were formed by people in their 20s who read books (written of primitive people who lived centuries ago, from a different culture & era) and boom got an idea - this happens to those who read alot. Books spur the mind to create both good, bad & crazy ideas.

It was a project destined for failure as even the basics - naming was faulty. The idea, ethos, vision & mission were not original so did not reflect our era, people, society & culture. Sham!

Their end is near. Videos like this are sad but necessary to bring as much attention & outcry as possible to force govt. to act decisively & crush the menace once & for all.

Since you wont answer & unfortunately my mom (of blessed memory) cant answer either, the question remains unanswered, I guess.

I wont lie, its not been fun engaging you but thanks for the experience. I'm sending you love & light just like my mom taught me to.

Do work on your temperament & stay safe.

Neddstark:
I dont owe you a reply. But I may actually reply you if you tell me how many men had sex with your mother before you were born. If you can meet her to answer that personal question, I will tell you if I am a cultist or not. Idiota

Hi Champ,

You seem to be having a terrible day. That was a lengthy reply but still didnt answer the Yes/No question.

Are you a cultist?

Neddstark:
Look at this brainless lunatic. I have been on this thread since May last year, contributing positively despite not having experience in it. But because I state the obvious about how cultism has eaten deep into our society, your screwed up hormones couldnt hold it any longer and you had to label me a cultist. Your problem is worse than cultism. At least cultism can be renounced and a better life can be imbibed. But stupidity cannot be tamed. It is for life.
Crime › Re: My Story As A Cult Member........initiation Phase Included... by Chris525: 10:27am On Jun 16, 2020
Follow the thread, people have been asking questions on how to evade cultism & cope with the related issues. Its not just typing. If it was you wouldnt be so triggered.

The change we seek is not instant, its gradual. Only the unwise confuse today with the future. The wise trust the process.

Blessedaredweak:
how do you seek for a positive change when your government doesn't want a positive change......you can be full of optimism as much as you want but the sad reality will remain, as long as the government does nothing about it,I'm not seeing a change, if all cultist were to mysteriously disappear, be sure to see the emergence of new ones.
is it that you are thinking this is the first expose on them or what, enter Facebook na, u will see more, past and present.
if you think cultism can be eradicated by typing alone, then okay oooooo. lets keep typing.

Lets agree with you, the government is not doing ANY thing.

Why is it such a turn off for you that we're here asking people to shun cultism?

Why are you so worked up?

Are you a cultist?

Neddstark:
Oga, what has Nigerian government done to fight cultism? I mean a real campaign against cultism like the one against herdsmen and boko haram.
People die from cultism every week in Nigeria, what have the Nigerian people done against it. When have we carried placards to say cultism must end.
What have you yourself done against cultism?
So suddenly out of the blues, you expect cultism will get any better when it is becoming a prerequisite in the Entertainment industry and political offices? Can you name 5 top reigning male musicians in Nigeria who aren't frat members?
You cannot expect to reap fruits when much effort by the people/government has not been invested against cultism.
I am being realistic not pessimistic. Have a nice day
Crime › Re: My Story As A Cult Member........initiation Phase Included... by Chris525:

If the govt. is not doing anything, then talk to the people around you to shun cultism, is that too much to ask?

There's the NPF Anti-cultism unit, if they're not doing enough, do an article about their activities and how they can improve. If it makes sense - like this thread- people will talk about it & you can never tell where it leads. Someone started #EndSARS

Criticism is the easiest thing to do. Even a three year old can criticize. Complaining all the time puts you up as a basic. A lot of you know so much about cultism but can not tell where the anti-cultism unit is in Lagos. Shows the side you're on.

How many times have you called the police to give info about cultists in your area? Anonymously of course. Some would even call them to run when the police arrive.

You lot sit & drink with brazen cultists. A lot of you are close friends with known robbers & kidnappers but have it in you to still criticize govt.

You ask the govt. to do a thing, then you make it impossible.
Crime › Re: My Story As A Cult Member........initiation Phase Included... by Chris525: 8:45am On Jun 16, 2020
Neddstark

Lets be clear, you're not a realist but a pessimist. More like a mediocre who would rather make do with status quo than seek for a positive change for societal advancement.

A realist would acknowledge that the society is being degraded & disrupted by cultism; understanding that now more than ever our society & the future of our youth are in danger of cultism, drugs & fraud.

There's the BLM going on in the US & around the world as we speak. The citizens could have sat in their houses, waiting for govt. to do it all. What people like you - and many Nigerians - dont get is that, the job of building the society is all inclusive. The govt. has a part to play, you & I have a part to play as well. If I post #SayNoToDrugs it doesnt mean the NDLEA are not capable or have stopped working. I'm only doing my bit to create awareness as a citizen.

We need you to be positive. Radiate light & encourage young people. Spread hope & not fear. Evil prevails when good people are quiet.

Speak up for good!

Some will drop a post or two on the negative impact of cultism & then do a major comeback to say cultism has come to stay, it is deeply rooted bla bla. Lol, cultists & cult apologists hanging on straws. Some said the same about colonialism, slave trade, military rule etc. You know how that went.

Someone even said a certain cult rules the NSCDC, FRSC etc. Oh, dont be ridiculous. As long as we agree that cultism has eaten badly into the society, whats the suprise if a couple of them are in the army or nscdc or even the police? Are they not members of the same society?

About the 5 who died at OAU, sad but their death wasnt in vain. For them, cultism is about dead in Ife. That incident resonated even into Unilag. Today, the average student there doesnt know what cult has a particular color.

Cultism as it is now is only appealing to criminals & people with criminal tendencies.

Cultism is destructive & evil & has no place in a civil & progressive society. We're not barbarians.

Whats your fuss about? Robbers have been using guns in Nigeria since the '60s if not earlier. All of a sudden cultists are deeper than we think because they use guns?

Listen, during the war in Liberia, kids as young as 13 were using the AK-47. Though there are high calibre, sophisticated weapons that need special training, you can shoot most guns once you're shown how to, only once.

Basic idea is to:

- load
- know how to work safety/cork
- aim
- shoot

The source where cultists get these guns show them how to use it.

Nairaboi:
I have read through the trend and must say. The issue of cultism and cultist in Nigeria is far ahead of what we think and talk about here. Something I need to ask jare, and that is 'how do cultist learn how to use all these weapons? If I am given a gun today, I wouldn't know how to clock the glock. I wouldn't know where the chamber or magazine can be found so how then do these guys know how to do it. Do they undergo a training?

livebyday

You're going about this whole thing the wrong way. How do you expose a secret by keeping it a secrethuh You can not fight a secret society without demystifying it. Their strength is in their oath of secrecy not really the guns or axes they wield, as such, it must be broken!

Everytime our police confront robbers or the army confront BH, it is likely they die. Should they all go home & sleep so as not to die & allow crime & evil prevail? Are cultists more powerful than the govt. or society?? On what basis should we treat them like Al Quaedahuh You're giving them too much respect than they deserve. As poor as the NPF are, the day they decide to end cultism in Nigeria is the day it ends!

As hot as Benin is, if the govt. should post Abba Kyari of IGP-IRT & his team there, in a month, Benin will be calmer than Damaturu.

Most cultists are weak men preying on the defenseless using their numbers, shikena.

Unless you are for them, expose them fully. They'll fight back but they'll lose.

There are lots of Uniben students who are not cultists. I suggest you live on campus for your first 2 years & mind the reason why you're there - your studies.

Join a fellowship, if it sits with you & avoid parties. Pick your friends carefully, do not have too many close friends. Be free, pleasant, respectful but cautious with those you come in contact with. Do not give cultists preferential courtesy.

If you must have a girlfriend, avoid girls who dress too flashy & are often in company of guys.

As for places to avoid, asking current uniben students will be helpful.

I intentionally took out incidences that I am privy of, so as not to make the write up too long or give it a tribal undertone. Like you have said, most will never fully understand the extent of the atrocities our people commit abroad until they witness it firsthand. This is just drugs, we're not talking prostitution and fraud yet. It is really shameful.

kingreign:
No words truer than this have been spoken in recent times. I have been opportune to first hand witness some atrocities our fellow countrymen commit in foreign lands and it made me so shocked and ashamed to identify myself as a Nigerian. We really need to call our fellow brothers and sisters, uncles and aunts, parents and siblings, friends and partners abroad to order.
Foreign Affairs › South Africa: Time To Call Nigerians In The Diaspora To Order by Chris525(op):
South Africans may be Xenophobic but thier grievance is beginning to make sense & gain traction. We can not continue to pretend & play the victim. Besides South Africa, a lot of other countries are fed up with us. Sometimes last year, a certain European country offered to pay Nigerians to leave, signing papers never to return. It is that bad.

In most countries in Asia, Nigerians are the highest number of foriegners on death row for drugs. In Europe, there is a Nigerian community in about every prison facility & its not like we are dealing just drugs, there's other crimes too.

Of course, there are many law abiding Nigerians abroad, yet thats not an excuse for the others to engage in drugs. No country condones drugs. We're not much of a drug country, so may not appreciate the impact of drugs in a society. The productive are mostly affected, it can be really devastating.

Its time to call our people to order & putting in place punitive measures to check the activities of Nigerians in the diaspora.

Bucaneers (BAN) like to say they're 'tu.sh', fine & non-violent, feeling like the next good thing after sliced bread, lies! Its the format they use to lure gullible youths, dont fall for it!

BAN is as bloody & evil as the other cults. They do blood oath & swear to an idol - Grandpa. They use weapons like bottles, cutlass, guns etc. They run HITs. They are only calm because in most schools they do not have the numbers to compete, SEC & NBM will crush them easy. Do a research on Kwara where they have numbers, they are bloody.

They claim to be doing good and spreading love, funny. What love are they spreading that is more than what the Red cross & Rotary societies are doing worldwide. Both do not require you to take a blood oath or swear to a god!

If BAN was so good why are they a secret society? What are they hiding? Why cant members declare their membership at their church/mosque or even to their family? Why cant they include it in their CVhuh

They are bloody cultists! Dont fall for their lies.

About the guy who spilled & I was later to read that he got killed, he was detailed & specific. That was always going to annoy NBM. The names he mentioned were high profile cultists. Their era was a brutal one at LASU. In '06, SEC had a major hit on them at PPL, 4 fell in a day. Things tuned down alot after that.

My take is: if you're involved at that level, there's hardly any way you'd tell your story & not annoy your group. Even when you do not mention names; you have broken the oath of secrecy, they dont trust you anymore, they'll come for you.

However, a lot still have to tell their story to be free of the spiritual implications of their acts just like the OP. In that case, SPILL IT ALL. Include names, photos & facebook ID of those who could be after your life. Hit them first.

If that guy did, he'd still be alive or a public outcry could be generated, the police would get involved. They'll be picked up or on the run instead of the peace they're enjoying while he's cold & gone.

What do you think?

You're wrong man, 90% of cultist got no idea what they're walking into.

Think about it, will you consciously know you're going to sign your death warrant and still go ahead with it?

Will you be aware of what the initiation entails; horrible mendings and torture process, and still walk into that initiation ground?

During my initiation almost every initiate there was screaming " bros una no tell me say na like this e dey be na"

100% of cultist have no idea what cultism fully entails before joining, na after you join u go understand wetin you enter, that's just how it is.

Every intending lobber here should stay away from cultism you might die fighting a war where dem no dey pay salary or compensation fee to your loved ones should you fall.

You have had the yahoo-cultism argument multiple times and you always won? Good for you. Evidently, its more important for you to 'win' an argument than to learn from it or effectively educate others & thats a personality flaw.

You most likely can not work in a team, you cannot adapt easily, you wont make a quick learner, you'll take longer time getting things done. All of these because you're stuck on yours & your idea of right. I'm almost sure a lot of your closest people detest you for this. Its toxic.

If you hang around sensible people, you'll be right sometimes, other times they will be. No one knows it all. So there really cant be a winner.

You're incapable & ill equipped to have the type of high level intellectual interaction that you crave, hence you tend to rumble.

You must constantly learn, delearn & relearn to be at the level you crave. You can only achieve this by reading extensively & listening carefully.

Bowing to superior argument doesnt reduce you.

Cheers.

Good morning Kingfish542 I usually dont do back & forth, I would drop my take & just move on. For your case, I'll make an exception as you have put out some misconception that must be cleared for the benefit of this thread.

Yahoo is a crime but to liken it to cultism is being clever by half. Hushpuppi & crew have just been arrested. As big as the fraud was, worst case scenario they do the time & be released. That would never happen if they raped & killed Americans.

You think I care about fraudsters? Funny. If we have to kill all fraudsters & cultists, most cultists will die twice! Heck! Most cultists are into fraud! There's no crime you wont find them. These things are open & shouldnt be up for argument.

Yahoo, is a crime but on this thread, we're exposing cultism for the evil that it is. If you're so pressed about Yahoo, create a thread like this on it or wait until someone does & go off there. Dont muddle up this thread or derail it with illogical comparisons.

Have a great day!
