I'm having a discussion with an ex-Pirates member - I'm not even sure if he left Pirates but he's not in the country & is elderly - so I guessed. He said the Pirates Confraternity was pulled out of the school system in the '80s. I dont think he would lie but from experience I like to double-check these things. I'd appreciate If anyone could clear this up. Thanks. |
Now I'm even more convinced than earlier that you're a dullard. Whenever you're done, you can get on with your life. Just dont forget what I told you today. Peace. My regards to your mom. kingthreat: |
Your opinion that advances a criminal activity or association puts you up as a criminal. You should be scolded for it & you could be arrested for it. On your religious affliation, thats legal, whatever your religious beliefs are, no one can question that as long as illegal acts are not involved. So your opinion counts then. You can worship sand & run away with it. I hope you spot the difference? As for your mom, my prayers are with her. No mother deserves a son like you. kingthreat: |
...behind a keypad, over a faceless forum is not where serious people have someone's time. Heck! I could have been exchanging text with a househelp or someone who couldnt look me in the face on the real. Thats exactly the image you project. That time you think you have for me & that fired up emotion is a waste that could have been put into something more productive. You have been grossly uncouth. This is a public group, behave your self & most importantly do not derail the thread. kingthreat: |
haha! You did well to point that out, monicar - moniker, noted. On your part, google 'illiterate'. kingthreat: |
Okay. Thank you for avoiding my posts. Continue to do that on this & your other monicar(s). Lastly, #SayNoToCultism ALWAYS. kingthreat: |
Lol. So the Japanese, French, Hong Kong, Swiss, Italians, English, Spanish etc are beneath the Igbos? Y'all igbos can overestimate yourselves. You're still the least of the 3 major ethnic groups in Nigeria on most economic indices but you're out here rubbing shoulders with China & India. Hilarious bunch, lol proeast: |
Lool. Thats actually what they are. One million boys with a fancier name. LostAddict: |
All them greenland, iceland etc. are they not 'sailors'? LostAddict: |
"if skull & bones starts in Nigeria, nothing good will come out of it" You strike me as someone who acts before they think. If you have exercised some restraint & given the whole thing a thought, the above idea would have struck you easily. Instead of spewing half thoughts & striking us as a cult apologetic dullard before becoming reasonable. kingthreat: |
Our newspace has been awash with yesterday's event involving Keyamo & the senate committee. People on different fora have picked sides and trust Nigerians to be sensational & sentimental without even understanding the issues that played out & what led to the drama. Usually Keyamo (through his ministry) provides policy guidelines on how the 774k job recruitment will be done. The requisite agency (NDE) would execute, then the senate committee oversees. When news came on with Tinubu & Oluomo's daughters as members of the job committee, the senate invited NDE to explain how it came about the names. Out of 20 members, the NDE could only identify 8, the others came from the ministry (Keyamo) which should not be. In comes Keyamo; the drama was after he was asked to explain the names & why he interfered with NDE duties. He became rude & dramatic & was asked to leave. The senators asking that cameras be shut off during an executive session is not unusual anywhere in the world. Keyamo is being smart by half. |
Vanzcharles You stated earlier that every cult group needed a story/folklore to start up, one that will instill fear in new initiates. Please whats the story for PC, SEC, SVC, BAN etc. Also every information on Charles Kokoma was expunged out of bl.ack a.xe when it was time to register it as NBM. This was the patron's idea as adding Charles' name & with the story already out would amount to admitting to murder on public & legal records. Back then they even had an LP on him. However, I do not wish to pursue this argument any further. If you insist Charles & Janet are folklore, then thats okay. We agree to disagree I guess. |
I'm not heavy on name dropping but your submission is solid. swankyshank: |
Vanzcharles Folklore? The ones who died after Charles & Janet were folklore too? Do you know those two are said to be the first BKB deaths & how NBM became so feared? Do you know one reason NBM was setup was to checkmate PC in Uniben? They came to fight. Ask any serious NBM person, the price for betrayal is beheading. If Charles' beheading was folklore, so when did it start? Let me share a story: An important member of NBM repented some years back. He confessed all his sins but muddled up his cult affliation. No mention of the cult he was actually a strong member of. People who are not in the know will say they heard it from the horse's mouth but the horse wasnt truthful in that instance. My point is with these guys you must always crosscheck their stories. The person who didnt turn up was Tokunbo Brown, the patron Prof. changed the name from Bl.ack ax.e men to Neo-black movement. |
Cultist like to say "Who no go, no know" but a lot of them dont know much about the history of their society, they only know about the lingos, drilling & hits. Let me talk about NBM for instance. NBM was created by 10 founders but their history says 9 because the others killed the missing one - Charles Kokoma for betrayal - BKB. It is suspected that he helped brew the first NBM rum - NBM drink is called Kokoma. NBM drilling is called Janetting. Janet was the gf of one of the founders, she betrayed NBM & died when she was being drilled, I suspect she was Charles' gf. For these deaths, the first temple FJ was called 'Murder temple' not Mother Temple as people call it now. Do you know a Buccaneer did the first initiation for the founders of NBM before handing over to one of them? Do you know that the founders thought about Brothers of Barracacans before picking the name Bla.ck Ax.e Men - BAM. Thats how the word 'bamming' came about. Btw, barracacans is another name for vikings, lol. |
I like the suggestions pouring in. Lets keep the energy pls. However, I differ with the idea that cultism can not be eradicated. The task might seem daunting but we must face it squarely as an individual, society & government. If the people who fought for the abolishment of slave trade decided to manage it, you would probably be on a plantation in North Carolina planting cotton. You dont manage a disease that has a cure. You can not manage a menace like cultism, lets not kid ourselves. If anyone could, Prof. & Rica would have done so, Felix Rupa would have done it. The way to defeat the evil called cultism is to cut its head off. You want to manage cultism in tertiary institutions as per professional course or what? Cultism has no place in a progressive society. Can you propose that idea to owners of Nile Uni, Covenant or ABTI? To manage & accomodate cultism in their billion naira investment? Cultism must stop. Lets stand on that. It wont happen in a day, gradually the day will come. |
Nothing to see here, just another attention seeker. |
I wrote about how cultism has been reduced to the barest minimum in a school like unilag, someone mentioned how thats funny cos someone was killed in unilag in 2010. Ten years ago! Lol This thread is to expose cultism for the evil it is. Some of us dont stop there, we go further proferring ideas & solutions on how to defeat cultism. You can not tell who is reading. As for the Unilag incident that happened 10 years ago, the guy who they wanted to hit was 'Sky' he escaped & his friend 'Eiyele' got hit. I dont want to bother you with details of the aftermath but Sky had to leave unilag & environs after the heat was turned on him. He came from another school to unilag but it didnt take him long to figure unilag was different. Same with schools like OAU. I dont want to know how rugged you are, or your rank. If you fly a beret in Ife, I guarantee that your life will never be the same again. I hope & pray for a day when this replicated in all our tertiary institutions. |
I dont have to read to know. I was a witness. If about 10 people die for cultism to end in each of LASU, UNIBEN, Ekpoma, Uniport etc. its an offer I would gladly take. Mark you, the number of people who died as a result of the renounciation exercise in Unilag were not up to 10. OBelz: |
Each environment is unique. It doesnt have to be the Unilag way but I'm sure there's a way. Pierced: |
You're right tho. Being in Lagos & its location (in the middle of the town) doesnt favour certain acts. There's an army barracks 5 mins away. Police response time is less than 30 mins. Plus most student live on campus. I could ago on & on. Unilag is not the ideal rugged cultist settings. But even in Uniben, it can be done. Where there is a will, there's a way. Kingfish542: |
The cults did go after a few but a lot of people renounced. They couldnt possibly kill everyone of them. Also the ones who had renounced were providing info to the school/police on the others who didnt. Kingfish542: |
98% of students in Uni in 2003 had phones 98%![]() Where did you study? Bagehot: |
Julifeisgood Unilag has never really been a hotbed for cult violence. In the 90s, they had alot of cultists but much of the fracas then was mainly SUG related. I would say 'Yele was able to create peace between all the parties, he didnt really eradicate them. Even 'Yele is suspected in some quarters. Remember Prof. was at his trial & also if you google the photos, you'd notice 'Yele dressed abit funny on that day & the photographs caught some spooky handshakes. All that could still be wrong tho. The eradication of cultism in Unilag was in '99 after it was established boys in Unilag organised the OAU incident. The then VC initiated a fierce & vigorous anti-cultism exercise. The heat became too much for cultists & alot of them renounced at events organised by the school. The cult groups tried to fight back but the school won. Final nail in the coffin for cultism in Unilag was the abolishment of SUG. This is my opinion based on experience & the little info at my disposal. |
I hate to argue personal details of your life with you but you really need to check your dates Sir. Bagehot: |
Yea, you're observant. He has an idea. whothiefmymoney: |
Sad. Its usually the ones that have people who love them so much & would do anything for them & they end up blowing it all away. kereman1: |
Kereman1 hahaha!!! You're so bleeping right about the crying & catarrh. I just pity all the young boys who have been misled & are at the mercy of their seniors in the game. Most of your leaders are not as tough & brutal as they appear. Its just an act, or alcohol/drug induced. When the chips are down, they're known to cry like babies. The same police they teach you to disrespect & disregard so much become their 'Sir' 'Daddy' 'Bros' Just stay away from cultists & cultism please. |
Pls continue & finish your story here. Ibromighty: |
This is beer parlor talk with zero value. IT IS NOT TRUE. ekene101: |
Yeah. Same here. Have you heard anything about what the problem might be? rasheylaw: |
