on the issue of tithes being meant only for the the biblical levites read hebrews 7 :11-13 which said Jesus christ could not collect tithes because he was not a levite how much less the impostors claiming to be levites today all in the name of conning people out of their hard earned money.

First u will need a Bill of Quantities from a trusted engineer/surveyor, that will guide you first. then afterwards u have to be at d site or u nominate a very God fearing individual that will be monitoring activities @d site if not u r sure going to pay more that twice of the actual cost.

Thanx for your post and your objectivity, as far as giving to the church is concerned, i believe in giving generously if possible more than tenpercent if you are able if it is to support God's work. My problem is the way tithes as been interpreted in mordern churches which as no similarity with the biblical tithes. read deut 14: 22-28. Apart from that the book of hebrews says that the levitical law of tithing is not relevant to christians as Jesus christ is not a levite (hebrews 7 : 11-13) That means as christians we are not required to tithe. on the basis of this passage i actully think pastors that are making tithes compulsory for their congregation are actully being fruadulent because tithes is not required of us as christians. What is required is cheerful free will giving. I don't have a problem about you or anyone paying tithes, but people should know the biblical truth about it and not the false doctrine that is popularly preached as tithes.

I do a lot of free will giving which most times surpass d said 10% for tithing. I believe this is exactly what God really wants from us (obedient with our material resources) not as some ppl will grudgingly be paying their tithe all bcus sum1 told them to.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I lift my brothers and sisters to You today and I would like to bless them with these words of prayer. Lord, these are Your people and I know many have grown weary along the way, but today I pray that the weariness will lift from them and You will send a time of refreshing to them - spirit, soul and body. Lord, encourage them with Your Spirit. I don't know all the needs but You do.

Bless them with health, finances, direction, strength, wisdom, love and the things that are needful at this time. Please Chrisoml, Pary for me. I am so confuse on Why has GOD not listned to my prayers. I prayed so hard, I belived in HIM. but now I ask Where did he go? Why can't he just let me have one thing. I am shaking right now. I thought there was hope. Why is he leaving me to suffer like this? Sorry if the reply came a bit late. Even though that i just finished praying for you on what issue (circumstances) that u might b facing which seems as if God is no longer by ur side or hearing/answering ur prayers. but i want to know one thing today; "what God prevents, denies, or keeps us away from, is as much divine guidance as what He permits & opens 2us. Every door that didn't open, every opportunity you didn't get, every call that didn't come is as much God's guidance as those that did. You are missing the point : which is to acknowledge that crime is a universal phenomenon and not that Nigerians are a special breed of people that God created for criminal purposes. Less than half a century ago blacks living in the US have faced the same problem - and it was assumed that once you are a black person you are either a thief or a drug user . And so you are most often automatically excluded from responsible social positions. Let us not associate with this negative image. It will not help us or our children.

I lived and worked in the UK for almost 15years because I initially had the impression that "home is where you find happiness". We even hold British passports. But soon you come to realise that "home is where you find acceptability" . There will come a time in your life when you will be made to realise that "look man , this is not your country" and your children's opportunities will always be limited by that suggestion. at any rate, which of all the social vices and crimes that we run away from when we leave Nigeria don't we find more plentiful abroad ? frorgery, fraud, armed robbery, car-jacking, burglary, embezzlement , unemployment, etc . I tell you as a matter of fact that it is easier to get a [b]GOOD [/b]job in Nigeria than in the UK. It may not be a lot better in the USA except you are in the medical profession, teaching , engineering or software development. I know of lawyers (not even Nigerian) cooking pizza in USA to make ends meet. I have seen Americans living in worse conditions than Mushin , and of course in the sort of poverty that is even unimaginable in Nigeria. Yes, there are extremely poor people in US and UK too. Of course if this does not bother you, by all means live wherever you like : it's a free world.

I know of thousands of Nigerians doing crazy menial work abroad and barely making a living but cannot return home because of the shame of not accomplishing anything after so many years of self-deceit. On the day I came back home finally I realised that I had been many years living in bondage and thinking that I am enjoying life. If we can fix NEPA (sorry I am still unable to get used to PHCN) problems, and fix transportation problems , I assure you Nigeria will be one of the best places in the world to live in.

This morning am lighting up dozens of candles for these three great and cherished people in my life that have gone to the grave beyond.
One is for my Dearly beloved grand mum, Mrs. Christiana Obilor who passed on February 2002. "DA" as you are always called by everyone, one are more than everything to me. you laid the foundation of life for me and on that very foundation that I have built my life upon till date, on how to be honest to myself and also have respect for others. There are many more good reports to be said about you, I just want to say that I appreciate that have you did you did for me and that I missed you so much.
The second candle is for a family relation Ahamefule. Dear brother news of your tragic death in 1998 broke me down in different ways. infact I have never felt that way my entire life before which made to see life the other way round. You left so soon without even saying goodbye. As am writing this right now am still feeling you close to me. I cant just get you out of my mind. Memories of you still lives forever on my mind, if there is a way to rewind the hand of TIME and bring you back I would have done so just for you. "Amenco", may you gentle soul rest forever in peace in Jesus name.
Lastly, this candle here is for one of my girl friend's Mum, Mrs. Akerele who passed on Good Friday 21st of March 2008. I could not believe the news of your passing away when i first heard about it, I was touched for the second time in my life. Right now am praying that, may your gentle soul rest in perfect peace with our Lord Jesus Christ.
Rest in PEACE also to all other people not mentioned here. ADIEU!
