Shout out to Big Gab my personal player of the season. Starboy Saka delivering when we need him. Viktor was good yesterday ran his socks off. Rice and MLS midfield finally has us steady. Excellent changes by Arterta when required especially for the shaky Calafoiri and tired Eze. |

Kudos to the boys and Arterta. Another UCL final after 20 years is nothing to be sneezed at. Truth be told all my expectations for this season was the EPL plus maybe an FA Cup trophy and deep run in the UCL but here we are we will be competing for the big ears in June! Mikel sometimes has been exasperating with the way he managed the squad but props to him he deserves his flowers for making the Gunners a force to be reckoned with again. Well done boys now go on and wrap up the EPL |

I no wan argue next year isn't far may God keep all of us alive and healthy. izzou: Atiku without Federal might?
Lol...Will he now have "Federal Might" in 2027?
I think your comment is dishonest.
Instead of saying "Atiku with Governors and Senators in his party won more states..." , you're saying "Without Federal Might".
Was Obi given Federal Might when he scored his own 6 million? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 4:48pm On May 02 |
Experience is the best teacher. Let's just observe how things turn out. TemporaryHansel: You know the drill. Emotional politics allowed Tinubu to win in 2023, and the same thing is about to play out again. They're getting emotional over this shit and it's not funny. This is not a kids game. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 4:39pm On May 02 |
Atiku without federal might won more northern states than PBAT that used muslim/muslim to garner votes. Even beating Tinubu in strong APC states like Katsina (Buhari's backyard) and Kaduna. Governors in the north as powerful as they are don't have enough clout (even though they will try) to sway a populace determined to vote one way or the other. Like Dayo highlighted Northern voters are not exactly chummy with PBAT at the moment so there's no way he will garner huge swathes like 2023. The only question mark I have with Atiku is if he can get fanatical votes like Buhari. izzou: Did Atiku win the NW and NE by default in 2023?
Please check and kindly get back to me.
With all the governors, Senators in PDP, when did he win it by default?
Atiku will struggle much more than 2023, and that's just facts. With all the defections, how many crossed to ADC in the North because of Atiku?
No governor, no senator, but somehow he will win by default... Odiegwu
Whatever Obi has is what he has. He also is the biggest Southerner contesting with Tinubu. If Atiku won't support him, he should wait till 2031. I will personally campaign for him |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chrisooblog: 2:56pm On May 02 |
Atiku by default will win NW and NE. It's only for the margin you can't really say it will be. From an analytical point do you think NW and NE will vote Obi over Tinubu if Atiku wasn't on the ballot? Now switch it up would the SS or SE especially vote for Tinubu rather than Atiku if Obi wasn't on the ballot? I disagree with the at least 50% margin you gave Obi for NC. A lot of the votes LP got then was the whole muslim/muslim APC will marginalize Christians talk which will be harder to repeat now. Atiku just has to be competitive in the SS and SE winning one or both then make sure he carries NW and NE with a landslide (admittedly it will be difficult). For Obi the path is much harder. Best case scenario for him is winning SE handsomely and slightly edging SS and for argument sake NC. He's definitely losing SW Lagos included NW and NE very badly. Kwankwaso is a local champion whose influence don't pass Kano State. Like Dayo said if removing PBAT is the main aim then Atiku is your guy. izzou: How is Atiku going to beat Tinubu when he has only one state to deliver (Bauchi)?
Oyo is already Tinubu, so abeg which region will he deliver?
With Obi, the SE and North Central will submit at least 50%.
So please tell me where Atiku has any edge over Tinubu? |

Omo if this is true and the transfer has a real possibility of happening I could personally pay for the flight ticket of both Kepa and G.Jesus to go to Turkey. SolaFide: Galatasaray is reportedly interested in Gabriel Jesus and Kepa Arrizabalaga, which could be part of the deal in Arsenal's pursuit of Victor Osimhen, as they have a strong interest in the Super Eagles striker. Andrea Berta is very fond of this center forward, which is why he traveled to Turkey to watch him in the Istanbul derby. Arsenal is seeking a new center forward who is tall and can link up well—similar to Havertz but a better finisher. |

Chief I disagree on the bold. If you followed news circles then he was really engaging stakeholders cross country. Infact when it seemed he was gathering momentum core BATISTs started flying the story about betrayal this and that bla bla bla. PYOs mistake was thinking he could count on PMB to have a major say in the primaries in his favour. semid4lyfe: I was one of those who aggressively pushed the twitter trend Run Osinbajo run when he hadn't declared his intention.
It pained me when he didn't clinch the APC ticket. I was deflated, felt like life was snuffed out of me.
But looking back, PYO didn't really push for the ticket. BAT and Amaechi were crisscrossing the country, meeting governors and delegates. PYO didn't do that, and was bested by BAT and even Amaechi. Argh.
Nigeria missed a good one in Prof Yemi Osinbajo. Painful. |

Positive news if confirmed to be true. From his youtube highlights I like the fact that he's ambidextrous and looks strong on the ball. However I note that youtube reels of players can be very deceptive but the little I've seen gives me hope we have found worthy competition for Chukwueze if not a long term replacement. On competition, she can still compete as many competitions do not require nationality affiliation for participation. Athletic club activities and I believe diamond leagues do not (I stand corrected). She's only affected for competitions like World athletics events, Olympics etc
This obviously also has trickle down effect as it is success in events like the world athletic events and Olympics that give athletes the most success and a name and image to leverage on. |

Gutted for Lookman that he couldn't snagged his first trophy with Athletico.
Hopefully more opportunities will come.
As for Simeone I don't want it to seem I'm having a go because I'm biased but what is it with always removing Ademola? Especially when he's looking the most dangerous player for your team?
Yesterday was just puzzling there's was fair enough time to leave Lookman to do enough damage but he was hooked as if he was dulling their attacking game.
I'm not saying there was any guarantee Lookman remaining in the match would have changed the outcome for the better but their chances would definitely have been brighter.
Did it in the second leg against Barca they escaped did it again yesterday it backfired.
Simeone for all his abilities as a coach finds ways to sometimes snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. |
