You know your background, you know how much sacrifice you had to make to get a move abroad and a decent football contract, but you throw it all away because you lack self-control.
Promising career washed down the drain.
Papi85: Molde's Nigeria U20 international Daniel Daga has been convicted of committing a sexual act against a person who did not consent to it, and has been sentenced to six months in prison, according to Norwegian television TV 2.
The verdict was delivered by the Nordmøre og Romsdal District Court, which found the midfielder guilty of the offence on Tuesday afternoon.
In addition to receiving a six-month prison sentence, Daga has been ordered to cover NOK 10,000 in legal costs, approximately N1.45 million in Nigerian currency.
Daga's lawyer Astrid Bolstad said the Nigerian will appeal the verdict, maintaining that the player is innocent and that the encounter was consensual.
"He is terribly sorry that the verdict was the way it was. He believes he is innocent and that everything happened with consent, " Astrid Bolstad told TV 2.
"He will appeal the verdict. The verdict is not final. He will be treated like everyone else until he is sentenced."
Molde announced in a statement on Tuesday evening that they are aware of the verdict and the player will not play matches for the time being.
"This is a very demanding matter for all involved. As an employer, Molde Football Club has a responsibility to look after our employees in a responsible manner, while at the same time having great respect for the seriousness of the matter and for the burdens this entails for all parties concerned.
"Based on the situation and the ongoing legal process, the club has decided that the player will not be part of the match squad until further notice."
Daga joined Molde in January 2025 and has appeared in seventeen matches for the five-time Norwegian champions, scoring three goals.
The 19-year-old represented the Flying Eagles at the 2023 and 2025 Fifa U20 World Cups.
But for real FIFA should talk make we know where we dey.
elyte89: DR Congo typically releases their squad list well ahead of any upcoming match. However, the list for the World Cup qualifying playoffs has not yet been announced, which raises speculation that they might be waiting for FIFA’s verdict
Nope I was responding to Basco's question. Besides do you have to be qualified medical personnel before knowing what treatment protocols are offered for different medical emergencies?
Bro! I saw the show of shame. You call yourselves doctor you couldn't even attempt to calm and comfort the patient. Administered no pain killer to even deaden the pain.
Few weeks ago, Janet twisted her ankle while playing WC qualifiers for Falconet. This girl was on the floor writhing in pain while the two doctors assigned to the team stood beside her beckoning for stretcher or whatever.
Average Nigerian clubs wey their medical kit na aboniki and iceblock
mostob: 🇩🇪 Bayern Munich have almost eliminated muscle injuries thanks to an unusual method.
During training sessions, players are increasingly seen with small plasters on their ears because the club takes micro blood samples before workouts. Two key indicators are analyzed — lactate, which reflects current workload and endurance, and creatine kinase, which rises with micro-damage to muscles and is considered an early signal of a potential injury.
Based on this data, the coaching staff adjusts training loads in real time. If the indicators go beyond safe limits, the player’s intensity is immediately reduced.
As a result, Bayern have had almost no muscle injuries this season. The approach itself isn’t new (it was already used under Thomas Tuchel), but under Vincent Kompany the system is working noticeably more effectively.
The contrast is especially clear compared to last season. Back then, the Munich side suffered more than 20 muscle injuries in a year and were missing half of their starting lineup ahead of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Inter Milan.

Scouted by Bayern at the age of 14. Richard Ajayi Oluwaseun might be making his Bayern first-team debut anytime soon. A talent shining through the academy ranks, now standing on the verge of the biggest stage in German football. pic.twitter.com/mSaX6RxKir

How are you sure Benji didn't orchestrate that one sef?
Israelis are a bad enemy to have no doubt. Eliminating your generals, intelligence chiefs, top scientists, and now your supreme leader without breaking a sweat.
Ellexy: That October 7th attack by Hamas was a massive mistake from the Islamic Republic. An inflection point that has led to possibly the downfall of the regime.
If Chelsea ends up trophyless by season end they might review their wage structure to enable them buy the big guns.
For Madrid the plan is to offload Vini to Saudi. So Mbappe will now operate from his preferred left side with Osimhen being the point man.
I would have put Juve in the framework but Napoli have said over their dead body will they sell Osimhen to them.
Kilishihunter: Chelsea not signing him in the first place is one of the reasons why he has a lot of people hating him on social media since they are the ones with the biggest fanbase in Nigeria. They operate on a different wage structure now. Madrid would have to sell vini to get osimhen plus I don't think the latter would thrive playing alongside mbappe since most of the final balls would get to him. With his PR I believe his agent should be sounding other clubs though gala would do all they can to recoup well from their investment. I just read the gala VP say his price has now doubled to 150m
Chelsea needs a proper 9 one could argue Real Madrid too but we will see how things pan out.
Kilishihunter: I believe the way Napoli treated him also played a part in this mess especially with the mockery video and insignificance after Conte's arrival. They treated him like an ordinary player not one who fought with sweat alongside the others to deliver a first serie A title in decades. EPL big clubs all have strikers atm, I don't know if Enrique would decide to go for him at psg, serie A clubs are not that rich, Madrid has mbappe, tico might go for him if they sell Alvarez, he'll even fit Simeone' style like a glove, the most vacant position is at Barça but finances dey yab us. I even prefer he joins one of the Saudi top clubs instead of remaining at gala.
I don trust those yeye EPL, Ligue 1, or La Liga clubs.
Come summer now them go begin price am like panla for market.
lbrichman2: The Osimhen PR online is crazy!!! Oboyy!!! Its getting more and more difficult for Gala to keep him beyond this summer They will make good money from this transfer though..
Barca fans in particular are drooling over him.. At this point they are ready to crowd fund a transfer if possible..
Yeah, I kinda align with your thoughts on the case.
Honestly, I would be the happiest supporter if the ruling went our way but one just has to be realistic.
The gymnastics of FIFA ruling miraculously in favour SE is just too much.
minfelix: i think FIFA will act “ex officio” in this case…they may not ban DRC….it may just be a matter of fining DRC a huge fine or banning/suspending the said players. e go hard to strip them off that playoff spot
