Don't mind people and their agendas. Always using Lookman to throw shade at Osimhen instead of being appreciative that Nigeria has two awesome talents to call upon. BankyGee: I posted something like this on X to reply one clown saying Lookman's mentality shows how he's different from Osimhen due to the club he joined.
Dem dey propose to cut Osimhen salary by less than half, Lookman got 6x increase from the one he earned at Atalanta them dey talk rubbish.
The same Lookman that was just 1 hour away from joining Fenerbahçe had Atlético Madrid not increased their offer. Mtcheww. |

Athletics compared to other sports doesn't pay so much. US Athletes usually cash out through sponsorships and endorsements but that can only be gotten from constantly winning at world champs and olympics. Truth be told outside of those two competitions not many people really follow athletics like that. Sad to hear about her death for someone so young. One can only imagine what Nigeria athletes go through. PDPGuy: Off topic:
I just learned that Tori Bowie was a world champion in the 100, had world and Olympic medals, 6 years after her last gold medal, she died broke and couldn't even get ppl she carried to gold medals on relays to pick up the phone..
This life no balance at all! These professional athletes must make sure they maximize their earning potential whilst they’re still active, to avoid stories that touch. |

E for hard. The guys mind was made up. 123jamessmith: There was a level of assurance from olise camp, that was the reason Rohr included him in one of the list he released. If the nff has pushed further, he would have wore the green white green jersey. |

AFN shouldn't be petty just free the poor girl. The decision is unlikely to make her change her mind about representing Nigeria again. lovewins: In other news:
World Athletics rejects Favour Ofili's request to switch allegiance from Nigeria to Turkey.
She's now left in a limbo, very sad situation for her. |

To be fair Rohr did reach out to him even going as far as to give him a sort off invitation, but I think Olise's was always set on playing for France and Nigeria was probably the plan B. 123jamessmith: How did we miss out on olise. Such a good footballer. I remember when that guy was in QPR. The NFF should be very prompt and fast in doing things. Catch this guy's when they are still playing secondary school football before they blow. I watch the guy yesterday, I was flabagasted. |

Try to knock us out by scoring the goal that took us to the semis? When it mattered most carry along fluffed his lines against Denmark in the 1998 WC, against Cameroon at the 2000 AFCON finals ati bebe lor. Carry along using underage tournament to scam his way to legend status since 18 BC. raumdeuter: When the game got tough and Okocha met the tough teams he froze, he tried his best to knock us out but King Kanu said NO
And delivered the country our biggest award in football |

Flopped where? Wasn't it his goal against Mexico in the quarters that ensured we progressed to the Semis? At the very least he delivered when he faced fellow men like himself that's why Nigeria has senior men's titles and is reckoned with internationally unlike carry along who's dragging relevance with the likes Chrisantus Macaulay, Isaac Success, Nduka Ugbade and co. raumdeuter: Which Okocha failed to do, Okocha flopped against 20yr olds |

No spinning it he has to step down based on these tweets. Even if he tries to weather the storm and continue leading the commission the opposition would rightly take the stand that next year's election is comprised and will not accept any result no matter how genuine that announces APC as the winner. Coming barely a week after the whole ADC and ante bellum controversy the optics are not looking good for Barr. Amupitan. izzou: The thing just dey funny. How is it a Narrative?

Ah ah how can you say that about our 'Legend' the bestest player who won our highest 'internationally recognized football competition' African footballer of the year based on underage competition and hattrick against Chelsea. Jamiuokolaa: Exactly - same way Kanu at 38 went to bully 22yr olds at Atlanta 96
When he eventually transitioned to Super Eagles, he was already 50 and his muscles were too stiff.
No wonder he could only muster 12goals in 86 appearances |

Not really keen on Lesley due to the flimsy reason he gave for not wanting to join the Nigerian setup plus football wise not sure he will be an upgrade. TheSuperNerd: Michael Kayode - In Progress⏳️ and I hope we succeed.
Noah Atubolu - Should be looked at keenly as Germany has already drawn out their GK roster for the WC. Oliver Baumann of Hoffenheim will he 1st choice. Nubel will be second choice and I am sure as hell 3rd spot goes to either Augsburg's GK or some other "Pure" German breed. Atubolu was their 1st choice at last year's U21 euros where Germany reached the final finishing 2nd to England. Woltemade now at Newcastle played in thar tournament. Atubolu's backups are now 1st choices at Hertha Berlin and Hannover both pushing for promotion up from Bundesliga 2 yet he keeps getting ignored by the Senior side... I hope it continues so he softens and give Nigeria a chance to bag him for good.
Ethan Nwaneri - Top Talented lad but the rise of Max Dowman at Arsenal in same roles as Nwaneri (both are CAMs/RWs) threatens his chances at both Arsenal and England's senior setup in the long run. Also, current lads like Cole Palmer (CAM, RW), Bukayo Saka (RW), Morgan Rogers (CAM, LW, RW) and ofcos the #1 CAM choice for England, Jude Bellingham makes it hard to see Ethan at this WC or even the next. I no even call Eberechi Eze... England is stacked man! And those names are all ages 22-24.
Ethan is 19 so how long will he wait? I hope we can bag him. Get Nwaneri and our CAM/Midfield creator role gets instantly upgraded and the options become really good for us tactically in a creative sense.
I would say the likes of Lesley Ugochukwu (Burnley), & Tim Iroegbunam (Everton) should be approached strongly as well while keeping eyes on rising ones like for instance, Julius Emefile at FCM in Denmark. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by chrisooblog: 1:26pm On Apr 08 |
Kayode, Noah, and even Nwaneri should be top priorities to be spoken to this summer especially if the latter two don't get chosen by their respective squads for the upcoming WC. TheSuperNerd: I agree that Noah Atubolu will give Nwabali and Okoye a huge fight for the Super Eagles #1 shirt and may even win. He is only 23 but already a very solid GK. Now imagine him at his peak or near it. If the Germans keep ignoring the lad at senior level, then I sincerely hope we can bag him.
Okonkwo is a decent shotstopper on his day but it is true that his handling and overall btw-the-sticks coordination still needs work. He still needs to develop that "Presence" persona in goal. At 24, there is huge room for growth. |

This is one that Italy isn't going to the WC plus the fact that Gattuso didn't really fancy him should give us a life line. He can be convinced I'm fairly optimistic it can be done. Were he consistent with the Azzuri I would have agreed otilor. Papi85: still have doubts if Kayode will accept to switch to us |

I think Onyedika is suffering from a confidence and lack of maturity to his game issue. He has the tools to be a really good midfield general but he has to do a deep dive analysis of his game and how to raise it to the next level. The glimpses I've seen against Uganda and Mozambique some years back gives me hope he will come good but he needs to do more. TheSuperNerd: All these Onyedika slanders will not age well. I leave it to time to prove me right.
Now same Alhassan Yusuf that was constantly castigated here yet rated by me is being mentioned in fine light just to talk down on Nwadike. Lol... Time is a beautiful thing. |

You go explain tire! Like I said you think you're being clever by half with your 'room of world cup winners' yen yen yen. Why didn't you use UCL winner because you know that your agenda will collapse if you try it. The highest goal scorer plus 5 time Ballon D'or winner has nothing to prove to you. BlueRayDick: Go and siddon somewhere jor!
My initial response to the original post clearly stated that Wasiu should never be in the room because everybody in th room excepg him is a world cup winner. So this your talk about "smuggling world cup winner", na u know where you see am.
Nothing concern me with all your shalaye about so called time anybody spent at the top or bottom. I am speaking to the picture posted and from the picture posted it's pretty obvious Wasiu is the odd one amongst the world cup winners.

It's when you were trying to list achievements that other people have also done that I used other people to counter your argument. I noticed how you smuggled "World Cup winners" to try and spice up your argument kolework. Ronaldinho is a great player who spent too short of a time at the top to be using to troll a multiple time Ballon d'or winner with two international trophies to his name. BlueRayDick: Neither Roberto Carlos nor Fabregas appeared in the picture that is subject matter of discussion . Focus! No dey import players into the discussion wey no concern them abeg.
Na Wasiu be the least worthy amongst the players in the picture that was posted and he dare not talk where other World cup winners in the picture are talking.
I no know why you dey vex wan use rough tear Ronaldinho's shirt when he already paid his dues at the world cup stage. |

BlueRayDick: Ronaldinho won the 2002 World cup and he was in the FIFA all star team of that particular tournament. All this one you are talking about main man , you know wetin you dey talk.
Wasiu is the odd one amongst the players in the picture and does not belong in the same room every other person . Simple ! |

Ronaldinho is standing up because greater players are ahead of him. Ronaldinho was a great player no doubt, but his influence wasn't as overreaching as the other greats. Yes he won the world cup but was he the main man? UCL he ghosted in the finals plus his peak was 2001-2008. BlueRayDick: Ronaldinho that was in the 2002 world cup all star team? Person wey win world cup and UCL as a key player; he still win Ballon D'Or yet you dey look for his spectacular moments ? |

Yep, his last rodeo. The honest brutal truth whether anyone likes it or not it's only Atiku that has the financial clout and political cards right now to unseat BAT. With focused opposition politics you can easily point out the failings of the current government to rally people on your side unfortunately the selfish interest of too many politicians in the ADC will probably be their undoing next year. GloriousGbola: Atiku is already too old at 79
He will be 80 in 2027, 84 in 2031. it is now or never for him. |
