"All lives matter" grin

lovewins:
Was waiting for this.

This looks like an "all lives matters" list. Nigeria should have at least 2 persons in defence if they are being serious. I guess they wanted the love to go round.

Okoronkwo looking like another general talent for the Falcons who I predict will be talked about as one of the best in the Women's game if she continues on this trajectory. What a player!

Ajibade is my girl but Esther is head and shoulders the best player in this tournament by far.

Esther, Ajibade, Ijamulisi, Ashleigh, Echiegini came clutch for us in this competition.

bill gates is a billionaire - once the worlds richest man

he has achieved everything he wants to achieve in his life

to say money has changed hands [to change his mind] is imho - low thinking

the man has access to enough eggheads who will do enough research unto the benefits or other wise

keep in mind everything we consume today is genetically modified - even if we dont call it that

every domestic animal is modified to serve a purpose. today you have broiler and layer chickens. you have cows bred for milk and cows bred for beef. you have multiple strains of apples, bananas etc

for man to thrive and survive, he modifies his environment. do you want to breed catfish in a pond or go and start swimming for them in a river? do you want to buy your food of teh shelf or engage in hunter gatherer lifestyle

the worry of GMO for me is western corporate interests who have shown that once they have cornerd the market they start nickel and diming and subscribing and overpricing

I watched the said video and I thought it was a balanced and facted based representation of the current information around GMO out there.

He didn't specifically say GMO is better. He gave pros and cons regarding the use of GMOs and encouraged people to make up their own minds based on the facts on ground and not be hoodwinked by conspiracy theory drivel.

Shegzdave:
It’s the issue of GMO(Genetically Modified Organism) proposed by Bill Gates being introduced to farmers in Africa, he actually spoke against it some time ago but he released a video yesterday now praising the GMO stating it advantages without dwelling much on the disadvantages( for someone that spoke against it before).

A picture of him and Gates surface which made people believed Money has changed hands which made him went in support of the GMO introduced and given his goodwill on X on health related issues

Won’t there be any medical related issues when it’s introduced to Nigeria with poor medical facilities, since it’s altered against the organic?

Razor Ramon! Criminally overlooked for the WWE Heavyweight title. Should have had minimum two title runs under his belt.

Reason why I ride for Bret and Michaels is because they made every match whether with the big or small guys epic.

Ibime:
Bret and Shawn are GOATED but they were too small to hold Heavyweight title (both 6ft) for so long

I always preferred Intercontinental title to Heavyweight cos of the small guys. Mr Perfect, Macho man and Razor Ramon were the only fairly big guys (6ft 2 and above and muscular) who did the high flying stuff and that's where the believability factor comes in that they would make genuine heavyweight Champions

Macho Man "ohhh yeah!" Savage heard he had something with Stephanie back in the day. Reason why McMahon pushed him out of the WWE.

Match with Ricky top 5 best ever Mania matches.

afrodoc2:

My personal favourite is Brett Hart.

I also liked Ricky the Dragon Steamboat in the 80s. His fight with Macho Man in Wrestlemania 3 was epic.

My GOATS are Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels.

Great technical wrestlers that brought realism to genre.
Ibime:
For technical skills Mr Perfect was lauded as the most technically accomplished wrestler

Big enough to tussle with the heavyweights and agile enough to go toe-to-toe with the high flyers. His mat game was 10/10, his rope game was 9/10 and his personality and charisma was 10/10

Respect Curt Hennig. After Macho man, na him

Another thing I noticed was that the South Africans effectively pressed our midfield who apart from maybe Ajibade couldn't really beat the press. This then resulted to us using the wings which SA reinforced to double team both Esther and Ijalusi. Unfortunately the overlapping Ashleigh and Michelle couldn't venture forward much due to the pacy SA win who would the space left behind.

lovewins:
We had a few issues in that game.

1. A team like South Africa likes to keep possession and pass the ball around. Your primary assignment is to ensure they don't have the ball, and when they do is to make them so uncomfortable they do nothing with it. That means your first line of defence is your attack. The attack had to put the defence under pressure so they don't build from the back and will instead do long balls you can easily context for 50/50. The problem was that our attack was tired and couldn't do that. Coach however left them in the pitch. Ihezuo and Okoronkwo couldn't pressure so it was easy for them to build. He should have first changed our attackers before anyone.

2. It's why it didn't really change much when Abiodun and Christy came in because our attackers were flat and tired. I don't have a problem with him bringing them in because Ayinde was on a yellow and we needed extra help in the middle but they weren't the most important change he needed to make.

The thing pain me too but he's made his choice.

One of European football's elite forwards going to Turkey in his prime!? undecided

Only positive in this deal is that the reduced intensity of the Turkish league should leave him relatively fresh for national team duty.

Osimhen in a top 3 league in Europe stands the chance of winning the Apoty even more than twice as well as a good chance finishing top 3-5 in Ballon d’or nomination in the future if he maintains his form

Lol, E be like say we go all learn intricacies of transfer football financial dealings by force.

One thing is clear Osimhen didn't have the shrewdest and most prudent team advising him.

Buchi who I thought was a bit measured don pour gallon of sand sand into the matter.

Papi85:
that’s just it. The plan have always been to sell to the Saudis where they stand to gain more from the sale

Many here are just emotional and doesn’t want to accept the fact that Osimhen is the architect of his problem and predicaments. That big money contract renewal was a big trap which the player and his advisers willingly fell for

Napoli invested around 70m in signing him from Lille as well as upgraded his earnings massively after 2 seasons with them and you are sitting in you house expecting them not to recoup and make profit from their investment?

Even if Osimhen accept to cut down his demands to 150k-180k weekly just to force a move to one of the top clubs in europe will the interested club be willing to pay what ADL wants?

Osimhen must go Saudi whether him like am or not 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Komekn stop confusing two separate issues.

He asked a simple question can His Majesty's highest court in the land make judicial pronouncements on issues they haven't been directly approached about like you want the Supreme Court in Nigeria to do? Give a yes or no instead of all this shalaye you have been dishing out all time.

We're not asking for a State of the Union address. Just give a direct answer instead of going of tangent to deliberately obfuscate the issue in question.

komekn:
Just like comodo you completely lack understanding and fail to grasp the contextual nature of my response.

So forgive me others from the departure 🛫 from football ⚽ somewhat.

First of all, "Rule of Law" mean complete submission to the law without question ⁉️ When that principle is ingrained and established in society over decades it cannot be divided or put aside from the make up of society.

The cultural norms and values of Rule of law become indisputable and institutionalised the possibility of departure is very marginal. Everybody knows what is right, the law can be very simplistic and does not require adjudication from the Judiciary because it's intrinsically clear plain and simple. There is complete buy in by society and adherence.

In Nigeria the law is quite obviously clear and simple but because our governments are largely lawless as well as politicians painting 🖌️ black 🖤 to white 🤍. We then engage a corrupt compromised Judiciary to give spurious judgment to support the LAWLESS and UNCONSTITUTIONAL excesses of government.

In the UK if you give an order irrespective of your position President, Prime minister, General, etc If tha order it s not sanctioned by LAW, nobody will obey it because it's against the law. Again because in general everybody concedes to the Rule of law.

If you award a contract without the due diligence of the legal procurement process it will not be covered by law and it will therefore be unlawful and the contract becomes null and void. As a consequence nobody wants to be a party to lawlessness and face a financial loss.

The requisite qualifications to contest elections are there for all to see if you don't meet them nobody will sanction you to contest the election. In addition anybody even a brick 🧱 layer can complain and you will be disqualified, who ever sanctioned you to contest will face severe sanctions.

When there is Rule of law ,the need to seek continuous interpretation of simplistic matters from the courts is simply nullified.

But we know when when it's written in clear black and white our public and governmental institutions including the NFF will be turning black 🖤 to white 🤍.

Our problem is that there is no rule of law and unfortunately no adherence to it both in public and secret. Look at how the NFF is run it reflects the nations lawlessness. But more so the general populace have no Idea of the rule of law and feel no need to demand adherence by our representatives so accept rule of chaos and corruption as being normal.

Look at how many ministers caught in minor refractions and or dishonorable conduct immediately resign in the UK. That will never happen in Nigeria people like Sia Sia, Salisu, Amunike, etc and others should never be allowed near otu football. But it's normal practice they are still part of the NFF and influential.

Many of us simply cannot comprehend a society with the Rule of law entrenched into society cultural norms and values. So I understand comodo and you with regards to your responses.

It's not 🚫 your FAULT.
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by chrisooblog: 9:40am On Jul 15, 2025
The law none of the African greats you mentioned had to deal with the Napoli Owner.

Ask Koulibaly one of Africa's greatest defenders who never featured much for European elite clubs, he will tell you more.

Yes, Osimhen made some judgment calls that maybe weren't the best but the Napoli President is a tough person to deal with.

Mujtahida:
I don't understand Osimhen transfer saga. Is he under a spell? This is highly unusual oo. Drogba, Eto'o, Kanu, and countless other elite African ballers didn't experience this kind of brickwall transfer issues. What baffles me is that top clubs ought to be falling over themselves for this guy but they aren't. What's happening? It's really unfortunate. I trust that he'd be the Victor in all these.

At the end of the day like you I'm more concerned about Victor's impact with the Super Eagles.

That said I honestly believe with his talent and abilities he should be playing for the best clubs in world but hey it is what it is.

In all of this Osimhen should just strive to maintain his professionalism.

Wherever he end up playing he will continue to be my guy 100%
Goke7:
The truth is these so called big clubs including the otondos like arsenal or Man u don't rate Osihmen, and it's fine and if he joins them, taking a pay cut, the clubs will continue not to rate him, cos what you don't value you can't esteem so it's baseless joining a club who won't give you maximum respect. I think Osihmen is just avoiding another Napoli experience where he will be disrespected, and I stand with him on that as long as he doesn't fold or get gaslighted.
