Celebrities › Re: Kiss Daniel Vs G-worldwide: Coke Studio Yanks Off Kiss Daniel’s Materials by chronique(m): 7:43pm On Dec 09, 2017

This is the reason Y I won't sign any artiste, they get fame and feel the can bite the finger that fed them! At first they are loyal and always calling u "boss" "boss" at any little thing you say, When you pump money in their career n make them stars , the 'boss' turns to "bros" then to "boy"! That is how ungrateful Nigerian artiste can be! He has a contract n an agreement , y should he violate it? undecided

Well I rather sign my Dogs and Cats to my label, Atleast they are loyal grin
Thank God Nobody signed Davido, He signed himself....
You're right. Some months ago, I wanted to get back into the music business again and decided to start up with someone I know. I called up a producer who I had worked with in the past, called up this dude and we had a meeting and we shared a lot of ideas. Before that, we had gone to check out a studio where the production would be done... After the meeting, I took them out for lunch and we were all happy. I was busy observing certain things and wanted to do things right. It took me a while to draft out a watertight contract. While I was taking my time, I realized he was so eager to start recording and just wanted us to get things on. Sooner or later, a mutual friend of ours who knows about the project, started asking me how far and said it was taking too long. I wasn't ready to be pressured to take decisions and I backed off without saying anything. I could already sense there was going to be problem ahead... If I had gone ahead and issues started coming up, people would sentimentally blame the label. But most people don't understand the risk involved in putting your had earned peanuts behind an artiste. If he doesn't blow, no one would sympathize with the label. But if he blows and the label is making money, everybody would suddenly realise that the label is ripping the artist off. The people who would tell you that you are being cheated as an artiste, would not bring out their money to support you. All they have is their mouth to talk.

In business, what you negotiate is what you get. All these talks of slave contract is nonsense. If someone did not stake his peanuts on kiss Daniel, nobody would have known him. There are a million young men and women who are better off but have no one to finance them. Kiss Daniel should see off his contract and move on to greater things on his own label. Getting involved in this kind of litigation wouldn't help him. Until the case ends, he cannot get his career running smoothly cos every thing he does going forward, would be subject to litigation.

I drove through that place this afternoon and saw lots of cars parked by the roadside and saw some people in the rain. Sometimes, you just wonder the amount of stress people are ready to go through... Can't imagine being in the rain because I want to audition for big brother house, when my village people are not yet doing me.

I don't tbink this is a problem bro, it's what have been in the past involved in and still going strong in ..
On the other hand you can rationally work out my estimates cos have noticed how you disagreed with me that Land cost 500k in some parts of Nigeria but you didn't say anything on fuel dispensers costing 1 million naira per unit each or the service station costing 2 million or the underground tank costing 1.2 million too
When you wake up tommorow stroll to your closest filling station and picture what u can see and how much do you think it might be worth ..try speaking to theamanger or the attendant too on how much he or she thinks or what rumors have that the whole thing is worth ...

Bro with 10m you have ur filling station ready
i'd do as you have said. we learn everyday and no one knows it all. i have had friends pull deals on petrol station sales and most of them have been well over 80m in costs. there was one in ikoyi that was advertised for something around a billion naira(if my memory serves me right) and as such,it's only logical that i would scuff at anyone talking about building a gas station for 10m.

I don't think you've ever considered the econometrics of the scenarios I laid down... Lagosains have this bad habit of thinking the whole trade and commerce revolves around them and if petrol stations are being sold for 100m in Lagos then they must be abt the same price everywhere else...

To answer you question come to Ibadan and see land along a main road/ express for 500k, I repeat the land is even tarred
I feel sorry for most Lagosains cost you guys pay for the location of where you live so reason y a plot of land can cost a billion naira in banana island. Open your eyes brother petrol stations that are not in Lagos are making 300k a day sales steady

Don't you not think FUEL is the same needs of people every where even in the village
Oh! Really? If that is the case, I might just be interested in it. Maybe I'd find time to come and see things for myself with valid proof of receipts and payment for the cost of the ones you have set up for that price. A petrol station for 10m is too good a deal, to pass off.

Yes 30k dollars is just about 10 million naira
And yes 30k can build a petrol station
I have statistics in documentary form to back these facts up.
Nevertheless by my statistics here is a summary of how much it costs to build a petrol station in Nigeria
1.Empty Land ( 1plot is idea but 2 plots is preferable -budget -500k -900k

2. Service station ( this is the building in the middle of every petrol station where the attendants stay or dispense other items except petrol from or where the managers office is located.. It is commonly a rectangular shaped building the size of 2 rooms. Mud blocks can be used to save cost and cheap corrugated roof can be used in it's construction since it building itself is almost useless as it doesn't in real sense bring any income for the petrol station when in operation. Budget 1.5 million to 2 million ( foundation 400k, construction to lintel 300k, roofing and plastering 1.2milion naira )

3. Underground tank - this is the actual most important part of a petrol station so it's advisable to build this first before constructing the service station ...price varies but most popular version is in form of a septic tank which almost everyone has in thier homes just that the plastering would be different to accommodate the petroleum products to be kept In them....budget 800k to 1.5 million naira

4. Fuel pumps/dispensers - for some very crazy reasons fuel pumps and dispensers cost a fortune even though it's a pump and an electronic meter to measure the quantity of liquid being dispensed is in all of them.... Fuel dispensers are expensive so budget 1 million for each unit ... The minimum you need is 2 units, on average you might need 3 fuel dispensers ....so budget 3 million

5. Shield for the fuel dispenser...this is made to provide shelter and illumination for the fuel pumps. They can be made from anything so far it does the job ...budget 200k

6.misclleanoues expenses which include the cost of applying for license to lift petroleum from Nnpc depots (if you have ur own tanker if not you can simply enter an agreement with someone that has ) and other operating costs -1 million naira

Total costs
1.empty land- 500k
2.service station- 1.5 million
3.fuel dispensers - 3 million
4.fuel shield/shelter-200k
5.operating and misclleanoues costs -1million

So total less than 6 million naira so in an effort to answer your question not only would 10 million build a petrol station in Nigeria, it can even build 2 petrol stations and make back the 10 million in less than 2 months of opening

Your sincerely
Akinola eluyefa esq
Who is this person for God sake? Where do you want to buy land for 500k to build the filling station? Lagos, Abuja or Ijebu-Igbo? 10m naira will build a petrol station in Lagos and petrol stations are being bought for as much as 100m naira plus? Please get your facts right and don't mislead people.

Only the strong can survive. ... you mean Only the Corrupt can survive.... The problem is really our leaders, i always laugh when i see someone that scammed me on a deal, preaching to youths on various platform and widely televised, on how to make it the right way... Sadly Nigerians believe all the media propaganda.
Lol. I once stopped going to church cos someone who scammed me of money I paid him to bring in a car from America for my client, would climb the altar every Sunday to pray on the offering collected for the church service for the day. I couldn't bear seeing this crook preach or pray every time I went to church. At the end of the day, I had to quit going to that church. A lot of people do not have conscience in this country.

@ OP: all my life, I have never been a fan of traveling out of Nigeria to go and start a new life but with the current situation of what I'm seeing here, I might be forced to take that decision in 2019 if we make the mistake of electing another idiot into power. Nigeria is a perfect example of what a nation should never be like. There is a place of patriotism, and there is a place of reality. No doubt, there are people making it in Nigeria but then, you have to ask "at what cost "? At the cost of your sanity? You are probably used to a sane environment where practically everything works well. Coming to Nigeria, expect a total opposite of what you are currently enjoying... I'm yet to find something that one can easily get in Nigeria without having to cut corners. There are businesses that you have to do and you would have to settle a lot of insiders before it flies. Sometimes, it eats into your profit so much and you end up not really getting what you want. Look, I don't want to scare you but your $30,000 might not be able to get you through what you have planned down. You'd have to learn the ropes of how to do business in Nigeria and truthfully, be prepared for the worse. Apart from the cost of living, Nigeria is not totally a perfect place to live if you want your sanity. Like I said earlier on, the current government is a disaster and whoever we elect in 2019 would determine a lot. If we elect another idiot in 2019, I'd start packing my things and find my square root cause the country is deteriorating daily. Before you relocate back fully, think things through. There are almost no jobs and doing business here, is quite expensive and almost frustrating. Only the strong can survive. If you don't have that strong survival, rugged and determined spirit, pls stay where you are.

Going by the account of the many experiences of Nigerians in the hands of SARS officials being shared on social media, I have this to say. If these stories are true, then those SARS officials deserve to be rounded up and shot in the head for all these heinous crimes against humanity. There is no difference between criminals and these people. I'd rather have to face criminals and fight for my life, than die in the hands of cold blooded murderers posing as security agents, over nothing.

Nigerians need to speak out against this evil called SARS. three months ago the husband of one of my colleagues was gunned down on his way from the church by SARS operatives in calabar. They later planted a rusted gun in his car accusing him of being a member of an armed robbery gang. If they were sure he was an armed robber why didn't they shoot his legs and get him to make confessional statement. The wife is suffering alone now with four kids. May the soul of Emmanuel not rest until all his murders are brought to book.

No matter how you wanna spin it, this is a major and huge embarrassment. When R. Kelly came to Naija, the publicity wasn't huge but it was a sold out show. Lots of international artists have performed without major publicity in Nigeria, and still had heavy attendance. You can't tell me that an organizer who could pay to bring wizkid down, couldn't afford to pay for publicity. The boycott most likely, has nothing to do with publicity.
