What would you have done? May be you didn't go to any unity schools. You would have been given more stroke and heaven wouldn't have fallen.
Maybe somebody would have died between me and the senior in school. I grew up in delta and despite being relatively slim and tiny in stature, I refused to allow anybody bully me. Then, he would have had some explanations to do to the person that gave birth to me on why you flogged me a thousand times.

Hell no. Nobody would have been able to flog me that much and get away with it. I told my dad I wasn't going to school again until he changes my school. All because I was being flogged and asked to crawl with my knees from the gate of the school to the classroom for coming late to school. If anybody had flogged me this much, that person would have gotten into serious trouble. A thousand strokes? Over what? Did he steal?

everyone has been reacting to ebuka's agbada since saturday... personally,i think the federal govt needs to arrest him and prosecute him for going to another person's wedding, and dressing better than the person getting married. it isn't just pure wickedness, but corruption. almost all the pictures on social media from banky w's wedding, has more of ebuka's pictures in it. if not that banky w is popular,a lot of people would have thought ebuka is actually banky w.
in orubebe's voice,i say "we will not take it". we're calling for the speedy prosecution of ebuka echendu...lol.

It was an Rccg parish where I worship. Unfortunately, the building project never took off till I had that unfortunate experience, and left there and it ended up not being delivered to them. It was supposed to be designed and presented in 3d format. The only thing they saw was the layout/building plan on paper, when the dude came to make a presentation to show what he had done.

May God bless Lair Mohammed for finally speaking the truth. According to him, Buhari resisted the "urge" to rig the Anambra election. He didn't say he resisted the "pressure" or that anyone urged or pressurized him to rig the election. What this means is that, Buhari actually wanted to rig the election cos he had the urge to do so... We all know that criminals always have the urge to commit crime but sometimes they resist it, and wait for another day. That does not mean they have turned a new leaf. Most times, it's because they are waiting for a better opportunity to strike. Let's see if somebody would be able to resist that same urge in 2019. At least, Lair Mohammed has given us a clue as to what Buhari is capable of doing.

Do it as unto the LORD. grin grin One pastor's dubious behaviour is not enough reason to stop contributing to building the church. Everyone is going to account for their deeds before the Creator someday. Do your part, receive your blessings, and leave others to themselves. wink
I have heard you but I'm wiser now and know what to do as far as my Christianity is concerned. If you like, gather one million speakers and 1000s of microphone to scream and shout about how God will bless me by giving, if it is not in the Bible, or comes from my heart, nothing will happen. If I consider your shouting a nuisance to me, I'd quietly get up and go home.

Was it built with your money? undecided Build schools, hospitals and libraries if you so wish, but don't tell others what they should build with their funds. grin grin There will be churches everywhere. It has only started. So you better get used to it to avoid sliding into depression. grin grin
I contribute my funds to projects in the church and I'm happy to do that. But if they start talking of building another large cathedral, my one kobo won't drop. Building churches here and there, isn't the same thing as preaching the gospel. Moreover, it is in the same church where I was busy contributing my peanuts and went as far as paying someone from my pocket to develop a building plan for the church, that a minister in the same church still swindled me and defrauded me. When I talk, I talk out of experience and facts, not just because I want to talk.

To me makes no sense, having such a grand structure which is only put to use at most twice a week while there are thousands on the street without a place to lay their heads at night.
Don't mind them. That money would be better off spent on their outreach ministry and touching lives with it. If Africa as a continent, and Nigeria as a country, was almost crime free, or can boast of the ripple effects and benefits we get from building more churches everywhere, I would have said "wonderful! Let's have more churches". But no, the reverse is the case. So what then is the satisfaction we gain from building more churches and cathedrals? I'm not against the gospel of Christ being preached. I'm only against the unnecessary building of gigantic structures and cathedrals as church, with little or nothing to show as benefits in the society.

africans and their love for stupid things... building large church auditoriums up and down, while the entire continent continues to slide into aacute poverty. lands that should have been used to build factories to create employment, they'd use it to build large auditoriums. the bible says that "where 2 or 3 are gathered,i'm present in their midst". Christ once told the samarians(i think) that "verily,a time would come when ye shall no longer have to go up to that far mountain to worship God...." it is not until we convert every land to church, that we would know that we are practicing christianity. the very prosperous nations of the world,do not go about building large auditoriums and cathedrals. yet they are prospering, and even have more fear of God in them, than the africans who litter every nook and cranny of the environment with churches and large auditoriums.

Personally, I don't do things cos of people. I do things cos it's what I want. Everyone in Naija today, is struggling(apart from a few). Some are struggling for 3 square meals, some for just a meal, some to move to the next level cos they're tired of where they are and feel they deserve better, some to maintain a certain standard and not drop, etc. Our struggles are in different grades. Truly, a lot of people engage in this for showoff but there are people who just want it cos that's what they want.

You are like wedding and you like to show off and you are indirectly saying people that have low key wedding are broke....
No. I'm not saying people who have low key weddings are broke. I have noticed that a lot of guys are gradually trying to set the standard for judging a good wife material, by the level of poverty and struggle they can take with a man. But that is absolutely not correct cos people have been raised with different standards and it isn't very easy to cope. It would be unfair to every lady out there, to judge her loyalty and virtue by the level of financial struggle she can take. I have been in a position where an ex politely told me she couldn't marry someone who isn't financially ok cos she's not sure she can cope with struggling as she would get depressed. I understood her very well cos I'd known her for a lot of years and her dad was well to do. Of course, my own dad was doing well then. But at the time we had this discussion, I didn't have a job or business that could provide steady income. All I had was my dreams and of course, she couldn't wait. I reasoned well with her and today, we are still good friends despite the fact that she is married. As a matter of fact, I'm currently chatting with her.

People who do low key weddings, do what is supposed to be done in a small way without noise. What we have in this picture up there, isn't a low key wedding. They basically took the risk of getting married like that despite not having. Like I said, I admire their courage but nobody should use it as a standard to judge good women. If a lady refuses such from her fiance, he shouldn't take it that it means she isn't a good wife material.

Isn't it quite neat that though you feel others shouldn't use this to judge a good wife material, you can conveniently judge the man's pocket by being "disturbed about how a man who organises such wedding for your sister would be able to take care of your sister"?
Bro, I'm a realist and let's be real. If someone is coming to marry your sister and can't afford to do things the way it should be, and all he can give you guys is doughnuts and zobo, wouldn't you be worried? I'm not saying his fortunes cannot change later in life but the truth is that, I'd be very very disturbed. Nigeria of today is hard and we are all struggling. The last thing anybody wants, is to allow his/her child or sibling to suffer. I'd rather want them to wait till things pick up, rather than stress themselves... Anytime I'm broke and cash strapped, I know how depressing I get when I can't meet up needs at that moment. Not to talk of people who are married.

Lol. I basically don't understand the company. It's like failure is pinging them from their village. Whoever is in charge of running that company now, needs to start looking for another job coz the decision to use this girl as their model for lingerie lines, looks like the sort of thing that only Buhari is capable of doing(failure). I'm struggling to see what is attractive in this girl. Is it her fat and unevenly set big stomach? Or her rough yansh? Nothing is exciting about her looks. She would be better off modeling for denim jeans. Anyways, buhari can take solace in the fact that he is not the only clueless person in the world.
