We should also ask the dead married men who were killed by their wives. dasparrow: What menace? I love the single life and that is not about to change just yet. Think about it, I don't have to worry about merging my private part with that of another person's. I don't have to put up with another person's filthy smelly body fluids. I don't have to worry about contracting sexually transmitted diseases. I don't have to force myself to chat when I am not in the mood to talk. I don't have to get into any silly argument.
I can get up and relocate to any country of the world with ease without worrying whether the spouse is cool with that or not. I will have more time to commune with my God and dedicate my time to serving Him. I don't need to worry about getting cheated on. I dont need to explain myself to anyone. I am in control of my life. Most importantly, I will never be another person's punching bag.
Lastly, I already have great people in my life that I talk with all the time. I don't need to be in an intimate relationship were sex - the disgusting act - is involved in order to be happy. As long as I am not lonely and have great family members, friends and acquaintances who care about me and Jehovah who loves me, what else am I looking for?
Better to be single and alive than married and dead. If you think am lying, go ask the two deceased married women who were killed by their husbands and their stories are currently on Nairaland's front page.
Peace, out! |

yuh2: In my own case
I have a girl that really loves me she does everything like cooking, wash, cleaning and I feel she's going to make a good wife. She works and even earns more than me. Each time i ask her for cash she gives freely and when she's broke she usually ask from me too.
The dilema is she is 4yrs older than myself and at times I feel like I don't love enough but all my side chicks (which am not proud of) non can be compared to her in terms of anything.
I seriously need your honesty advise Don't dull yourself. Good girls are scarce. If you lose her, you'd end up searching from a pool of largely irresponsible girls. |

I no dey wealthy but I know say that no be reason to dey single Don't allow age pressurize you into marriage. I was feeling that way not too long ago but my mindset has changed. Everybody around me keep singing that song about getting married asap but I am dealing with the pressure nicely now. You are the one who would eventually live with the woman and from the much I know about most ladies these days, getting a wife material, is a super difficult task. If you are not sure of the lady in question, don't allow the pressure get to you. People keep telling me I'm getting old but I know the kind of woman I want under my roof and if I don't get her, nothing would make me settle for something less. |

Eberex: I didn't ask you why bro. But even you cannot deny the love for good music. Meanwhile Yanni music is all jazz yet you chose him. What makes us love a persons music is relative but there at the same time there are standards.
Someone like you I bet wouldn't mind paying 1mil for a ticket if Michael Jackson was to perform.
But its good to show support to our naija musicians. I nod my head to their beats when I hear their music. Musically, I'm a big fan of reggae,jazz,r/b,soul music, country music, pop and hiphop. I like my music matured with great lyrics. I love accapella a lot and love to listen to live music with lots of strings and piano played on it... But then,I must tell you that I also love what some of our youngsters are doing. |

Celebrities › Re: Thousands Of Davido Fans Denied Access As Tickets Has All Being Sold Out!! by chronique(m): 8:53am On Dec 28, 2017 |
Eberex: Good for you, but when you talk of music, please dont compare Davido to those we had back then. What you hear today as music are noises. Just because he has fans doesn't mean his music is in the same level. I love davido not because he is a fantastic musician, but because he is a very good artist. A good artist doesn't necessarily need to be a fantastic musician. Artists are more of performers and that's what people love about davido. Just like when d'banj was the rave of the moment. Another thing that won me over,is his drive to succeed. People never gave him a chance but he proved them wrong. His career has been on the upward movement since he came out and he has never looked back. He is also very hardworking. Not every rich man's child that went into music, eventually became a star. You just have to give it to him. R.Kelly jumping on "if", was just the icing on the cake for him. If you know how revered r.Kelly is in the US music industry, you would understand what I'm saying. For him to remix " if",shows you how much impact davido has made as far as entertainment is concerned. He doesn't have a good voice but he uses his voice well and has created hits after hits with it. |

Eberex: I am yet to understand how people would go such shows in their thousands. Well maybe its because I belong in the group of 80-90's oldies and pop music.
To attend naija show is a no for me. People from the 80s,90s and even the 70s, must have attended the show. I'm from the 80s and over the years,I have come to love davido and if not for ill health,I would have attended the show. A lot of people work so hard all year round, and just need something to enjoy themselves during the festive period. These artists have fans across different age groups. When he first started promoting the show, the highest ticket category was vvip @ 50k which I planned doing. I was shocked later to see tables of 1m,2m,3m and 5m and they all sold out. Those tables were bought over by men;not kids. You just have to give it to davido. He's on top of his game and he has fans across different cadres. If me that can be very selective with the kind of music I listen to, can be a fan of davido, then it wouldn't take the average music Joe,much to fall in love with him. |

In lagos its hard to be on pre-paid n not ve supply. I'm on a 3 phase prepaid meter(the only person using prepaid on my street) and I have no light. Car Talk › Re: Why Do People Buy Expensive Cars? by chronique(m): 8:20am On Dec 27, 2017 |
chygoz3: Sometimes it could be a business decision. Having a certain kind of car could allow you roll with people in a higher social class. This in turn could help you get contracts among such people.
I once heard a story about a guy who attended a business/contract meeting driving a 'small' car. The guy impressed the stakeholders so much during his pitch and he was assured of getting the contract. After the meeting, the MD walked with him as they were discussing until they got to where the guy parked his car. The countenance of the MD changed immediately he saw the guy's car but the MD said nothing. On his way driving back to Lagos, he got a text which informed him that unfortunately they could not offer the contract to him.
What do you think could have prompted that? I have practically experienced that in the past when I was very much into showbiz. People who were to work with my team on projects, basically looked down on us cos none of us had a car and during sharing formula for anticipated revenue, they decided to allot us a paltry 5% cos they felt we were the least in status amongst all partners despite the fact that we were the original owners of the concept. My partner wanted us to manage whatever they gave us but I kicked against it. I went as far as banging the table in a board meeting with these supposed big men and I looked them in the eyes and told them point blank, that it wouldn't work. At the end of the day,I made sure the project never held. Someone got a hint that I was about taking legal actions to stop the whole thing and the others just respected themselves and abandoned it... See ehn,it is good to be intelligent, enlightened, bold and have confidence cos when you have them, people would be careful of what they say to you. |

Neither of you here is thinking of the comfort especially in seasons like this when u can travel with your family and have a nice time.
I guess all of y'all here living a real proverish life indeed and u see rich ppl as a threat..I ve got 5cars and counting, different occasions 4 each I think he is talking about people "who buy expensive cars and live in houses that do not befit the standard of the house", not necessarily people who buy expensive cars while living in rented apartments. |
Car Talk › Re: Why Do People Buy Expensive Cars? by chronique(m): 8:05am On Dec 27, 2017 |
Different strokes for different folks. I remember growing up and we had about 4/5 cars and we lived in a rented apartment. I dont know if it was the increment in rent that finally made my old man decide he had had enough of the house and he quickly rushed to complete the back part of his duplex and we moved in and started living in the house, while work was going on to complete other parts of the house. Personally, I see cars more as my stock, than an asset and that's cos I sell cars for a living. But I really have a problem with anybody who lives in a face-me-i-face-you apartment, and drives a car of anything close to 2m. To me, that is a misplaced priority. In fact,I do not think you need a car if you live in such an apartment. |

the leaflet:https://www.pwc.com/ng/en/assets/pdf/nigerias-refining-revolution.pdf You even have a better understanding than most of these people bandying 650k bpd by 2019. That being said,at 330k BPD,you aren't getting 330k BPD of PMS. From that figure, dpk, ago,PMS,aviation fuel, would come out. |

[quote author=COMPAQ post=63624602]About 650,000 barrels a day, which is double entire existing capacity of 4 refineries. And yes it should meet the entire national requirement.
Seems you are the f--l for not being informed of what is in the public domain. Read the papers and watch channels news once in a whil
Maybe you do not know that from a barrel of crude oil,you are going to get jet fuel, dpk ago and PMS out. The fact that it is a 650k barrels refinery, does not mean it would refine and produce 650k barrels of PMS. Maybe you need to learn and read more. |
