Reminds me of how my late lawyer's driver killed my lawyer's gateman's son. The wife of the gateman dropped the baby carelessly on the ground and went to do something. The driver ddidnt know the child was under the tyres. He started the car,put it on reverse and the tyre climbed the baby's head. The gateman's wife came out running and crying after hearing the little cry of the child. The child died even before they could rush him out of the compound to the hospital. I learnt my late lawyer asked that the car be disposed off . immediately. I never saw the car in his house after that incident. |
That's a good one "if true". |
Smh. Obviously,I'd love to see Nigeria being referred to as a country that isn't corrupt but then,we must be sincere with ourselves. That a list for ranking corrupt countries was released, and Nigeria was omitted, doesn't reall say much. If countries like the US can appear on such a list,it would likely be a case of typographical error,or error of Omission, for Nigerria to be absent from such a list. I'm a Nigerian but I don't know how to lie to myself. |
Isn't it too early for the dog to start attacking th master? |
mpowa: mpowa:Take a look at the first comment you made to me. You inferred that you're not from a certain tribe that hide murderers and the likes... This means you apparently think a whole tribe/group of people "like to hide murderers and criminals". Now,that's generalization. Then, you go around attacking me for saying "yoruba's by nature are traitors" and you call me a bigot for that. But you think you're a sensible person for suggesting that there is a certain tribe synonymous with hiding criminals;can you see how stupid and daft you are? You're one of the reasons why I think Nairaland should start testing people's I.Q and screening out people with low I.Q,from this forum. |
It's obvious you're a slowpoke. Guess that's why you couldn't understand the part where I said "that does not mean I hate them". And for your information,my mum is a yoruba woman but that doesn't stop me from speaking the truth. My friends are not bastards for speaking the truth either. Rather, you're one who can be classified as a hypocrite for refusing to tell the truth. Anyone who knows me here well enough, would attest to the fact that I have even criticized my own people for their own shortcomings,on this platform. Go keep your miserable and pathetic life somewhere else. mpowa: |
What has my post got to do with Dasuki? And yes, yorubas are traitors in nature. If you like deny it because you're a yoruba person;that's your headache. At least,I appreciate the few yoruba friends that I have, who have told me several times that that is how their people are. I have had more than enough experiences with them,to be able to come to a conclusion that most of them are traitors in nature. That does not mean that I hate yorubas though. But I like to call a spade a spade. And yes,I'd rather deal with a yoruba man who is honest enough to say "my people are like this",than deal with one who defends what's not,and wants to hide the truth. Fayose vs Aluko's case is another pointer to it. I'm actually less concerned about what happens to both of them. mpowa: |
No. Within. Current account. Noticed it 2 yrs back when I did a transaction and I inquired from the dude at the counter and he said they charge 3k per every 1m. That was what even propmted me to open the FCMB account.

|
Happy new month |
Ok. Let's see how it plays out. SmartChoices: |
Good development for them. Been banking with First Bank for 16 years now and FCMB,for about 2 years. Apart from the crowd issue at first bank and their occasional network problem,I think they're good to go. At least, you can put your little coins there and be rest assured that the bank won't fold up. FCMB on the other hand, allows me transfer funds with a flat rate of 100 Naira,as compared to First bank's 3000 Naira per every 1million. That's pretty attractive. #team First bank Nigeria and First city monument bank. |
Does that make him a free man? Don't forget the fact that he has already lied under oath in a competent court of law,and has committed a criminal offence thereby. SmartChoices: |
It's certain that dude would go to jail. However,I'm not sure how this case would pan out. The revelations he made as regards the Ekiti elections, throws open the entire case. On A personal note, this case once again gives credence to the popular opinion that Yoruba's are traitors in nature. |

This is interesting. It takes a lot to come out and say all of these but one thing is certain, this man has nailed himself. First things first, does he have proof to show the that these monies were released? Are there Witnesses who can testify to that? If yes, then there's a serious case at hand. However,if there are no witnesses/proofs to all of these,he has unknowingly slandered himself, and would likely go to jail for lying under oath. |
Hmm. This is crazy. |
LmfAo. I can't believ I'm hearing this;did Buhari just say this? A whole general? This is just ridiculous. Wait a minute, has Buhari ever visited any of the towns bombed/burnt,or any of the victims of boko haram attacks since He got into power? I'm just asking to be sure my memory isn't failing me. |
So he's actually being victimized? I thought they said it's a routine thing for the priests to be transferred every 6 years? Well,I don't know much about Catholics and I only know about Mbaka courtesy of what I read on NL here. franciskaine: |
What's with all the lamentation of him going to suffer, moving from a duplex to a 1 bedroom apartment? Dude is trying to act like He's being victimized. |
Hmmm. The man actually looks very old though. Can such a man still father a child? But they should allow them do a DNA test to ascertain the paternity of the child. It's unjust to deprive her of her rights as a wife to the king, and at the same time, deprive the child the access to the father and the benefits that come with being a royal child. |
Ehen? God forbids that my wife leaves me to go marry another man;I won't even talk about it in public. It's so much of a scandal to me. #Lowkey things. If she truly loves me,she'd never leave our union. |
What is this nonsense you are saying? What do you mean by pushing his luck too far? He was asked questions, and he answered them;how does that translate to going back and forth? I've been watching you do your "one step here, two steps there thing on NL and trsut me,you come across to most people here,as a mischievous person who writes to curry favor and play to the gallery, than someone who writes based on objectivity. You really need to take a chill pill cos not too many people here, take you seriously. TonyeBarcanista: |
All I can say is "wow". I wish I had the funds to bring this guy's dreams to reality. |
Tired of all these boko haram news abeg. When will this carnage stop? Just when? |
so,how old are we going to say the child is? |
Anyone with a link to the thread of the beef between gbemi and those guys? What was the isht about? |
What kind of help will a married woman want to render to an umarried young man, that would necessitate her going to his house alone? Too many nonsense going on joor. |
Still selling. |
Nice one. COYG. Proud Arsenal fan here. |
draftmaster:As much as I'd like to advice you here,I'd also want some of us to learn certain things. Anger is a very bad thing and we all should try to work on ourselves, before settling down. If you're a temperamental person and you do not work on your anger before getting married, you may end up ruining your marriage by yourself. As temperamental as I am,the only ladies I've hit in my entire life, are my siblings and I didn't enjoy hitting them. When I did,it was out of love(for correction),and of course, one of those sibling fights we had while growing up. I have never made the mistake of slapping a lady I dated, let alone talk of beating her. If there's any where I show my madness,it's always with my fellow guys. Hitting a woman you're dating or married to,is a sign of weakness. It should never be condoned. Yea,some of us grew up seeing our fathers hitting our mothers but that doesn't make it right, and doesn't mean we must follow that pattern in correcting a lady. Personally,I'd rather leave the house for you to nag as much as you want and when your head becomes normal, you can call me to apologize. If you decide to be arrogant about it and allow me to go out and start relaxing in mama Ada's restaurant until she gives me komnomi to eat and eventually scatter the beautiful thing we have,it's all up to you(I don't pray for such though). Now,I like the fact that you feel bad about your actions;nobody is perfect but try not to allow such repeat itself ever again. If you have the financial means,I'd suggest you take a break from work/business and schedule a retreat/holiday for both of you. Look for a way to spoil her silly and apologize to her. You both can travel out to a country you haven't visited before, and spoil yourselves silly. While at it,you can renew your vows to each other. Treat her like you're tryna woo her for the first time and make her feel really special. If you cant afford that luxury, try doing something within. Does your wife work? Can you get access to her boss? If yes, speak with him/her and tell him/her what's on ground and that you need his/her help. Work with the boss and throw a surprise party for her at her office. Get some of her colleagues and her boss to wear some customized shirts like: "Tracy,Dee loves you, find a space in your heart to forgive him","6 yrs we dated,5 yrs we've been married;this slap can't tear us apart","I'm dropping my pride, swallowing my ego, just to say I'm sorry, and I truly mean it",etc. Just get such words inscribed on those tee shirts and let her colleagues wear them on your behalf. Get yourself a customized tee shirt with the inscription: "I'm down on my knees saying I'm sorry;can I have one more chance with you?" Now,she's expected to walk into the office not having an idea of what this is about and everything should take her as a surprise(the surprise element iin this is the key to blowing her off). While she's at it,and still wondering what's going on,you pop out from nowhere, with a bouquet of flowers and your customized T-shirt,go down on one knee in front of her, apologize to her, present her those flowers and just tell her a couple of sweet things. Don't forget to kiss her passionately after all these. I'm definitely sure she'd come around. Don't act too tough and say all these makes you too soft and isn't needed. Ladies would always be ladies, and these are the kind of things they want. The sweet words, the care, the attention, the romance and all that. Moreover, since you feel she's your life and all that, you need to fight to keep her. Remember there aren't too many good wife materials out there and even when you find some, they might not be compatible with you. I personally, would do everything humanly possible to keep a lady who is a wife material, and whom I love dearly;I'd never let her go. It's not just enough to buy her a gift;you really need to make her know you respect her enough not to hit or treat her like an animal. That's more important than any gift you want to give her and with the stories of domestic violence abusing our minds daily,it's very easy to get her to opt out of the union. Weight your options, and do your thing. Cheers! |
