Politics › Re: Buhari Threatened To Sack Ministers Because Of Extradition Agreement With UAE by chronique(m): 8:37am On Jan 23, 2016
So what's the point in hiring them and paying them if he won't listen to them? It's better he does his thing alone. No matter how wise or intelligent a person may be,the truth is that you can never know it all.

The honorable thing for those ministers to do is to resign if he will not listen to them. Why give a person a job to do,and still turn down their opinions(on a field that they have better knowledge than you)?

Do you just walk up to a girl and start chking her? That's weird you know. At least, get to know a bit about her(even if it's for a day or 2),before you start chyking her.

i just hate it, i will like a girl, grab the courage walk up to her she will say no, i swear i will not talk to her again, even if i do, the passion won't be there again

Using this your analytical template, kindly help us with an analysis of why the ministry of information is gulping more funds than the ministry of agriculture, and also help us understand why the presidency wwill spend 1.75bn on feeding in one year. Thank you. Take note of the fact that 2016 is not an election year and as such, nobody can tell us that we are expecting foreign heads of states to visit the president to congratulate him on his electoral victory.
Pinnacle:
Seriously, I don't get it when people pick up their pen (sorry, computer keyboard) and type a lot of epistle criticizing amount budget for each of these ministries. There are several reasons behind these budget which cannot be understood for somebody using emotion to type. Let me break it down for the OP.

There are ministries that only 'consume' money; they don't 'generate' money as such. Good examples are Agric and Defence. I am not saying you don't need a lot of money to fund Agriculture but if you look at it objectively, you need more to fund defence. (A bag of fertilizer is not as expensive as an AK47). So if a govt budget more for defence, it is because the millitary hardware and operations are very expensive (you can ask countries that are involved in wars in other countries such as US and Russia, they will tell you).

The sad part of the above is that Agric will bring physical revenue for the country while defence will not.

The stupidity being exhibited by some of you,is something else. These wounded soldiers have nothingg to do with Dasuki buing or not buing arms. These are regular issues that occur at the war front. We had several soldiers who lost their arms and legs during most of our peace keeping mission outside Nigeria. Some of them died and never returned...

You guys should please, stop this foolishness. Let Dasuki be probed for his alleged misappropriation of the arms funds and if guilty,be prosecuted and jailed. But do not associate that issue with this.

Culture › Re: How The "ORO" Festival Almost Took My Life; My Story by chronique(m): 1:01am On Jan 22, 2016
The OP didn't disappoint as usual, like the normal yoruba boy that he is. The average yoruba man has fear as a DNA. Most of them do not bother to find out what is pursuing them, before they take to their heels. However,I have also seen a few brave/bold yoruba dudes. Now,to the issue of Oro;I think there are different types of Oro procession. The one done during the day, doesn't involve humans being killed. Most times, people are warned to close their shops and shut down their businesses for the day(for people living around that immediate environment). I think it is done as a sign of respect for their god/culture. However, the one done in the middle of the night when a king has just died,is deadly. That's the one where they behead people. One of them carries a calabash on the head and keeps a palmfrond in his mouth. As dey proceed, they keep creating a certain noise after which, they shout "Oro"... I used to watch them from my window, several years back while growing up. I remember that there were cases of people who Oro caught and killed. I remember a class mate telling us about their neighbor who Oro released cos they said he was rejected for the sacrifice(don't know how true that is). But according to him, they had cut incisions with blade, around the guy's lips...

One thing I know for sure,is that humans are used for sacrifice during the real oro;not the one that made the lazy OP run like a mad dog. But what do you guys think will happen if one is stopped at night during the main Oro,and the person doesn't stop(assuming you're driving)? I've always had it in mind that I'd never stop(God forbid that I run into them) if I'm asked to stop.

Can you guys just stop this nonsense for once? Go and sort out your nonsense budget that allocates 1.7bn nnaira for aso rock domestic expenses, before you start telling us another round of nonsense. Nigerians are tired of this crap. angry
Politics › Re: 'Buhari's Budget Moves Domestic Spending In Aso Villa From N580m To N1.7bn' by chronique(m): 8:55am On Jan 21, 2016
It's just a "proposal"? Why on earth should a person who claims to be honest and portrays himself as a man of integrity, even think of proposing something that reeks of fraud and dishonesty? Where is the change? With this harsh economic situation we find ourselves in? My dear,do you have a business of your own that you run? Do you know what's happening to businesses right now? Gosh!!!
omenka:
When you mention me in a manner that suggest you are taunting me, I would hardly turn up and you can't do anything about it. Just so you know.

That said, there's been grey areas in the budget from day one (no budget is ever perfect) which I criticised, especially the allocation for cars. I was glad to see that it was changed to reflect the mood of the nation. This as well, if true, is a no no for me.

You guys should understand, the document is a PROPOSAL as we speak and can be amended over and over again until we arrive at a consensus document- that is the reason we have a legislature.

You people are too darn emotional and could hardly analyse issues dispassionately. Tarry for now but bare your fangs when it is eventually passed without those areas you find unacceptable amended.

How long would you keep licking the wounds from your defeat??

Nigeria and madagascar's meals shows how "poor" we are. But then again, when you look at the infrastructures available, you'd realize that we can't do better than what we're doing now. We still have a long way to go.
