This has nothing to do with poverty or greed. I'd rather attribute it to ignorance, carelessness and illiteracy. While growing up,we were often instructed to stay indoors and not go out but we were never locked inside except on a few occassions and that was with a step-mother. If the mother had considered the safety of the children, she wouldn't have locked them in. It's just stupidity. The worst that would happen is that they'd disobey you and go out to play and you can spank them for that. Locking them up inside the house is just stupidity.

I'd never advocate violence but anyone who makes a threat on my life is a making a big mistake. So long as that person can be traced and tracked down, the rest is history. Your life cannot be bought with any amount of money;don't allow anyone take it from you without putting up a fight. That's all I can say to you.

For real? I'd like to hear someone call me and threaten same. Let's see if such a person won't return to dust in 7 days. Nigerians should be free to vote whoever they wish to vote for. Nobody should allow another person to intimidate them.

And when the "so called northern elders" insist that the president must come from the north, they're called what? Did I advocate for a Niger-Deltan? No. I simply said any other candidate apart from a northerner and I gave my reasons to be the northern misrule of Nigeria for over 30 yrs;how does that make me a tribalist? I can't continue to be ruled by illiterates who have refused to develop the nation, refused to give education to people from their own geographical location and still insist on leading the nation. It's like a blind man telling me He must be the one to take me across the road, when He hasn't shown me that He has the capacity to take himself across the road successfully;that,I'd reject.

Any country and any leader that doesn't play and dance to the tune of the US,automatically becomes an enemy of the US. History is there to confirm this;just do your little research. I used to love America but right now,I don't give a Bleep about them. May God give us(Nigerians) the grace to navigate ourselves out of the numerous problems we're facing.
Politics › Re: 2015: Witches, Wizards Endorse Goodluck Jonathan by chronique(m): 7:21am On Dec 28, 2014
Whether witches and wizards endorse GEJ,it does not concern me. All I know is that come 2015,I won't cast my vote for a northerner and that automatically means I'm voting for GEJ. My decision is based on the premise that,if the north had ruled Nigeria properly and done the right thing during the years they held power,we wouldn't have been talking about what we're complaining about today. In more than 30 yrs of northern rule,Nigeria was left to decay;I won't be fooled to believe a miracle would be performed by a northerner in 2015. To this end,I'd gladly vote a man from another region. If the APC had given the presidential ticket to any other person other than a northerner,I would have been so sure of a new govt in Abuja in 2015...

At a time like this, wisdom is profitable to direct. The officer who knows how critical the situation is,should have just showed them him I'd card and allow them see the contents of the bag instead of putting his life at risk. When dealing with a group of people who are largely illiterates, allow wisdom to rule.
Politics › Re: APC Wants To Divide Nigeria, says PDP by chronique(m): 6:56am On Dec 28, 2014
With the comments coming from the ACF and NEF about how power must return to the north,it's only obvious what 2015 holds. What happens if power doesn't return to the north? Divide the country and set it on fire? I've said it several times,we need and alternative to PDP but that alternative certainly, isn't APC.
Politics › Re: North Must Produce President In 2015 – ACF, Others by chronique(m): 6:49am On Dec 28, 2014
This is exactly my problem with the north and why I won't vote for a northern president.

It's either the writer is a dunce or He's just being mischievious. When did Adeboye and Kalejiaye become the same thing? Isn't there a difference between both names? I don't care about whether Adeboye said something or not but if you must spread news, spread accurate news. These days,it's becoming very difficult to believe any news item from Nigeria cos there's so much lies and propaganda everywhere.

@mizmycoli:

Permit me to call you a nice loving witch. How did you manage to write this? It feels like an x-ray of my entire emotional system and soul, was done by a doctor and His findings and prescriptions, written on a sheet of paper. That sums up what you wrote up there, for me and I think it might be same for a lot of folks out there.

My own defintion of love,is: living(L) on(O) venomous(V) emotions(E). Loving truly with your whole heart, consumes you and if it ever turns sour,it becomes a bad venom that tears people into shreds. That's the simple reason, why people hardly get over heartbreaks;the venomous emotions destroys their souls(most especially when they've given their all). We eventually find ourselves, protecting our fragile hearts and even when true love shows up,we tend to excuse ourselves from his presence for the fear of going through experiences from the past. But in our quiet moment,we sit and wish he's actually with us,we talk about how much we want him and all that. It's a scary crazy world we find ourselves in.

As for me,I love to love and wanna be loved back whole heartedly,I've got pure and genuine love to be given to the special one who deserves it,and I expect same. Irrespective of all the hurdles on my way to attaining this,I'd still give it a try. I'd try till I can no longer try and that would be the day my breath ceases.

When you love completely and you receive the same kind of love in equal dose and measure, the kind of happiness you derive from it,would supersede the type you get from earning a fat pay. Reason is,it is unconditional.

That's the mistake a lot of Nigerians living in Europe and America make. They ship all manner of items down to naija, with the hope that they'd have raised the clearing fee before it gets here. When the container or vehicles land and they haven't been able to raise the fees, the containers/vehicles starts to accrue demurrage and sometimes once it stays for 90 days,it becomes govt property and would be sold for peanuts. But the truth is that, this particular container wasn't sold for 250k. 250k is what would be paid to the govt but trust me on this one,the officers involved in this transaction from top to bottom, must have collected real cash. A rough estimate of what the final allotee would pay, would be in the range of around 5m. If you must import anything to Nigeria, make sure you have your clearing fees at hand before it lands. Any other option is what I'd like to call "sorry". The fact is that, there are people who wait for containers and vehicles,to enter overtime and once they get the info, they start working on how to get it out. While you're busy sending letter from one dept to the other, they are busy crediting one account or the other and getting their goods. You can't blame nobody.

The Nigerian press is too free. Anybody can wake up and just publish any nonsense to generate traffic to his or her site, and go scot free and nothing will happen. That's total nonsense. Some people should be used as example so others can learn. I have no problem with media houses publishing hidden scandals that are true in nature. I however, have problem with media outlets that publish false reports/rumours,and get away with it. Reason is that, when the false report goes out,it spreads like fire and does a lot of damage and not everybody who heard the false report, would have opportunity to hear the truth later. At the end of the day,the lie becomes the truth to so many people.

First of all,I'd attribute it to God's mercy and favour cos anything could have happened. I suspect He must have thought maybe I was a cultist too and also armed cos I see no reason why He would be looking back as He walked away. I think that's one of the few occassions my red eyes and tall height has worked for me. I think the campus was hot at that time cos my friends later gave me some scary tales while we were hanging out. I think cultists derive their powers from walking in a group.
Kirinwa:
That's what I was talking about. The cultist is a coward that's why he was looking over his back and yyou looked at him fearlessly, fear catch am. He ran away. If he's a strong man, let him keep the gun.
Education › Re: The Notorious Ekosodin Village Uniben by chronique(m): 3:02am On Dec 25, 2014
I remember going to do a job for chattered bank in Edo and Delta way back and decided to check my sister who was still in uniben then. I dropped my stuffs at my friend's house along 3rd cementary rd,and later went to Ekosodin to check my sister. One thing I noticed was the many eyes starring at me as I kept walking up and down like it was my zone. My ever red eyes and tall frame always made people suspect I was a cultist but luckily for me,all the starring and looks just ended there. After some time,I decided to go check my friends in town(they were all strong men repping different things). I was at the other side of the road waiting to pick a cab going to town and as usual, there were lots of students there. All of a sudden,I saw people running away from the bus stop and I was wondering why they were running but I refused to run;I dey form big boy. Before I knew what was happening,I was the only one standing there. Next thing,I saw this dude waking past me with something tucked inside his shirt and his hand supporting the base. By the time He got to my front,it was too late to run. I just summoned the courage to stand there and not shake or show fear. We looked at ourselves eyeball to eyeball as He walked by. He looked at me as He walked away and kept watching his back even after He had passed me. Inside me,my heart was racing faster than a buggatti veyron but I managed to keep my calm and not show the fear. After He had gone and people started coming back to the bus stop with some looking at me suspiciously,I just crossed back into the school and suspended my trip to town before they waste me for nothing. At night,it was all gun shots sound and voices of "who goes there"?. That was when I realised that uniben students don't blow candle twice before it goes off. The girls quickly reach out for their jeans trousers. You hear people rushing to lock their doors and all manner of sounds and before you know it,everywhere is quiet. Looks like they all have a perfect way of timing what they do to protect themselves cos the running up and down sounds from each room, seems to stop at the same time. The next day,I left their wahala environment for them and went to stay with my friends in town. Na babes wey I go chyke, make me first go chill for students hostel. I think I was just lucky.
