In the workshop,the receiver was connected to multitv,daarsat and etv c band. So am suppose to say that the receiver is mpe4 dvbs2 unlike multitv receiver which is mpe4 dvbs1. Now the choice is urs to select between daarsat HD receiver and Strong mpe4 receiver,as for me i prefer strong even if it not HD cos i dont think there ll be any provider than can go HD in future in respect to one tp to one channel,whereas mpe4 can take up to 44 channels in a tp. Even mpe2 cannot take up to 20 channels. The beauty of HD remain the HDMI slot which Component can give almost the same picture quality. It only luxe.tv that goes HD which if judge by their name everything suppose to be luxury. But men!u need to see the true picture quality of HD,u ll confirm the different. Take a look at luxe.tv HD from daarsat,badr or nilesat via HDMI slot or component.

Pito,  I got the Daarsat box coz of HD picture quality, I was hooked since i got a Blu-ray playing machine and say Blu-ray movies, on an HD ready TV, the quality is simply WOW! but i havent been able to view the LUX tv on daarsat ever cos its actually never come on since i got the box a couple of wks back, I think Daar has stopped transmitting most channels on its 2nd freq which is where lux tv is, whats more, all free transmission from daarsat will be over soon according to them. Now, you mentioned badr and /or Nilesat so my question is: are there any HD channels i can view there??

Just wanted to say i hv joined the MultiTv family , after reading selectively through the threads all thru the weekend I was able to get the Daarsat HD decoder today, got also a 2nd 90cm dish and a disec switch, did the trackings and installations too so i am currently viewing The multitv channels and daarsat channels as of this evening!
Thank you everyone here, greater thanks goes to twintaiye who gave me valuable advice over the phone too, i am truly grateful.

@ Enitan, you mentioned something about W3a for champions league, i would love more details on how to go about getting that bird with my current setup if possible. I reside in Abuja.

Who say 9ja people aint smart enough to stand and and compete anywhere in the world. He even looks cool and not-geeky unlike the American freak who won one million dollars, in the American Version of the same game, men, you guys need to see the over confidence of the guy,(The guys name is John carpenter) he didnt use any of his lifelines till the last question and then he opted to use the call-a- friend option only to call his dad and tell him he is just about to win one million dollars!!!! Here are excerpt from the show:
