I told u before about my experience with emirates but u need to call them to find out that info...only the airline can answer that question.

Thx for ur response. I think u misunderstood me,its not about convincing the vo of my reasons to be in the US its if not going to see my bro as one of my reasons is a red flag. I was just curious about that.

My training has been cancelled so I'm not going for that anymore. I still feel it'll be a good idea to get an American visa now that I out my mind to it. I just have a quick question,my younger bro is studying in new york... But when going I won't go to new york n not sure of visiting him on the first trip. Is there something wrong with that? Like my bro is in new york but I won't be going there?

I know that with emirates if ur layover time is more than 12hrs or so and at the time u booked it that was the only available flight they will book u into a hotel in dubai. I dunno about other airlines. I was told this by emirates staff in dubai cos I inquired about what makes them lodge u in a hotel n what makes them not to. But to be on the safe side call them, explain the situation n know their MO.

Please is there anyone who has travelled with Turkey airlines to the US before? What was the experience like? Can you recommend them? In addition, I discovered that the layover while coming back is 22hrs(this means at your arrival from Chicago to Istanbul, you have to wait in the airport for 22hrs before the connecting flight to Lagos takes off. I like to know how people who have traveled this route cope. Thanks for any helpful response.

Personally my advice is that you have to include those going with you and also it's advantageous if one or two of you have a B1/B2 visa but it's not a guarantee that you will be issued a U.S visa.

I'm going on a training with 2 of my colleagues...one already has a US visa. the question...Are you traveling as part of a group or organization?
When I say yes it just brings up a place to type the name of the organization, if I put no it brings up a place to list the names of the people going with me and their relationship to me. Please what do u advise I say...yes or no? and is it advantageous to say ur traveling with other people?

Get this right when or if you book hotel on booking.com they will never charge your card unless you exceed the validity of your booking(Validity can differ from a week to 2 days before you actual lodge) so it's better you look for hotels that accept free cancellation until few days to your actual lodging by that time you will know if you will actual lodge or even travel.

use a card that isn't funded on www.booking.com that way they can't charge anything from the card and when you done cancel the reservation and be sure to choose a reservation that is free cancellation. Cheers!

Thx for ur advice. So if I use this site I can say I'll pay daily n that would make them not charge my cc? Pls clarify.

use bookingdotcom, it will ask for your cc but will not charge you, you have the option of also stating when you want to pay and how (Daily or CC) be sure to narrow your search to the cheapest by using the filter tab on the site, you could get pretty cheap hotels that way and you don't need to be scared if they charge you at the end.

lastly, on that site most of the hotels/motels/hostels offer free cancellation but it must be 2 days b4 ur arrival date. Tchussss!

yes it's normal to guarantee your hotel booking, they might charge the card and they may not, cheers

All the hotel booking sites I've seen always request for credit card info before the room can be reserved...am I doing something wrong or visiting the wrong sites?

I intend going for a training on a software owned by one of our (the company I work for) partners. I need the training to enable me execute a project we're to start soon. I hope I'll be able to secure the visa. 3 of my younger ones r studying in 3 different countries (one in the US), I hope this won't be a problem for me. Thank you for ur help.

I just got my grant today oooo at exactly 2:10pm

i applied on the 11th January 2016, got to Pretoria 14th, frontloaded medicals like 3 weeks and exactly 22 days grant showed on the 10th Feb.
Thanks to this online family for all guidance all through this great adventure.

I intend to move to Perth on the 18th, any travel partner?

Visa Granted 10th Feb 2016.

good afternoon people! my visa just got granted this afternoon 9th of febuary. i applied on the 11th december it got to pretoria 15th december and granted today.

i studied a course entirely different from my work experience and entirely different from my intended course of study.. i told God i will testify on this thread.

Yea money gram is like WU n I'm not sure u need to be banking with them but u can find out. I know that to receive money u need to bank with them but not sure about sending cos people I know that used it coincidentally banked with the banks they used

From what I know the charges r not high and its converted at the CBN conversion rate for that day.

u should have gone to a canada forum to ask this instead of creating another topic. look for canada express entry thread, people doing what ur doing r there. meanwhile the only other way u can do this is to have ur transcript student copy for online applications.

I cant tell u for sure becos the corp members have to be attached to rivers state. redeployment is not certain so I really cant work with an uncertainty. till u get ur posting letter anyway

best u can do is to send money gram to urself. u need to go early though cos each bank has a quota that all the branches in Nigeria struggle for. for now I know that skyebank, diamond bank n I think UBA do this. max amount to send varies but usually about 200k. just go to these banks n verify. done at the cbn rate of the day.

Had 65 points (Age 30 + B.Tech 15 + English 20).

I guess my processing was faster cos my app was simple and there wasn't much to verify as i'm single, have no dependant and didn't claiming work experience point thereby didn't submit any work related document.
